How to Get Started with Motorcycle Camping Gear

  • Thinking about going motorcycle camping, but hesitate because you need all this gear? This video is for you. I show what I use when camping, what you need and want.
    Don't see the products in this video as things you should buy exactly the same. I bought all the stuff myself and you should buy what you want. I still write the product names because people will ask anyway.
    Help out with good tips for new campers and I will pin your comments for easy access.

I have a set of gear that I take for any multi-day motorcycle trip, and sometime I add something new to try it, or to cope with new traveling conditions. Russ 104, Nomad Sweden: Here in Canada, and maybe elsewhere too, a helmet on the ground is a distress symbol -- "Help if you can". I mostly hang my helmet on the handlebars, stuffed with my glasses and plugged up with my gloves. If you hang it right, the rain doesn't get in, either. Oh, yeah, and no ants

      @NomadSweden  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CharlesLindsay1 :) yeas good points. The bad thing with my small rear view mirrors is that the "helmet hanger" is gone and I dont want to drop it on the ground.

    En lite fråga Robert.
    Jag som gärna kör med passagerare ibland, mest mina barn.
    Kan man montera Monsoon 3 remmarna under sadeln?
    Jag behöver ju såklart ”pakethållaren” (ej OEM, en utan handtag) för att få bak systemet lite samt rullen så de får plats att sitta.
    Provade en T7 i förrgår och blev helt såld, packsystemet måste dock passa med passagerare.
    Med vänlig hälsning, Ola 🇸🇪

    • @NomadSweden
      @NomadSweden  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Osäker om det skulle funka under sadeln (tror inte det), men det går fint att sitta på remmarna tänker jag.

    Wet wipes are so environmentally unfriendly. You should use a small face flannel with a bar of soap and of course a small amount of water. You can even boil a small amount of water and add a little cold so it doesn't burn you. A flannel works far better than wet wipes and you feel MUCH cleaner. Wet wipes have bad chemicals on them.

    Hi Robert, you being from Sweden, why not use the Trangia as a cooking kit?

    • @NomadSweden
      @NomadSweden  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I should also ride a Husqvarna :) I have just not started using Trangia. I think that's because I either want something super fast (gas boiler) or enjoy cooking (open fire).

    Hello,
    Me and a friend is about to get ourselves some T7:s and start camping some. We are having a hard time tho finding bags for the T7:s, do you have any suggestions on where to get bags thats ships to Sweden without a very high shipping rate?

    • @NomadSweden

      If you live in Sweden the cheapest shipping is to buy from Sweden :)
      Just a few examples

      enduristan.se/

    Hej Robert. När du åker uppe i skogen på stigar, hur gör du då med terränglagen? Känner du markägaren?

    • @NomadSweden

      Åker jag på okänd mark håller jag mig till vägar även om de är små men i alla fall två fordonspår. Åker jag med någon som känner området så hakar jag bara på. I denna videon åkte jag 100m in på en igenvuxen väg och sedan ut igen. För det var fint där 🤩

      I always leave some room for food and in sweden there is no problem storing your food where ever. No aninals will come for it.
