+ErCellutions i posted the video to my channel last night. I was wondering the same thing. It just might make the s6 edge possible. I don't have any broken ones on hand at the moment though.
At 8:11 you can clearly see a large yellow blemish develop as the LCD digitizer suffers heat damage. Still a skilled repair; just goes to show how easy it is to damage the screen, even if you already know what you are doing.
Great video man! Once again you release something that isn't on YT yet. Great work! BTW you can press down on this screen. There is no back light and nothing will leak through.
WOW Amazing video. My Note 5 glass is cracked, the full kit just arrived so I searched for a video. I am so glad you made this video, I do not have your skills, I will bring it to a repair shop instead. Thanks!!!!
I know im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my login password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me
@ercelluations. 1. I have a question, when putting on the glass after you put the glue, what if the glue touches the two buttons on the sides of the home button or maybe the camera? will it cause any damage? 2. if you are going to replace the glass only, would you have to remove the back as well or just remove the glass from the front.
fantastic video. loved how you explained the reasoning behind everything like using more heat, the wire, to not press down, etc! might attempt this soon even though I only have like a 3cm crack.
Great video!!! I just broke the front glass on my Note 5 yesterday and when I watched your video - it gave me hope! I'm eager to give it a shot, but when I checked out your site to look at the Note 5 Repair Bundle, I couldn't see it. Did I miss it?
Nice! I thought this had to be done by disassembling the entire phone. I have a couple questions... 1) Would it be safe to assume that the process took around 45 minutes? And 2) Could you have used the suction cup from your repair kit to start the opening at the top, like you would have if you were removing the back glass panel?
the kit that you sell came with the right amount of glue or i have to measured? how do i know how much I have to use? and how do you know when is enough heat without damaging the actual screen? how do you measure the right temp?
Hello Friend. Thank you very much for sharing your video. I hope and you can help me with some doubts. What material is the thread you used to take off the glass? And what is the liquid you use to clean the LCD ???
Hi, Did you find the job easier if the glass broken in smaller pieces? (i mean the more broken glass is more easy to replace?) Working without wire in that case....
Thanks for the vid. QUESTION... I did a charge board swap, thought I was very careful with it, and I have done phone repairs (both on this Note5 and other modern phones) before with success. This time everything worked, including the screen display, but touch doesn't register. I've double-checked that all connectors are firmly in place. Is there a trouble-spot I should check more closely, or something I have overlooked? Or is it pretty sure that I wrecked the touch function of my screen assembly somehow?
Great video. what kind of glue do you use? is it possible any liquid slips trough behind the front glass (between the front glass and the LCD itself).? Mine, note 5 too, somehow got something like a leaking blue ink at the left lower screen. it has been 1 month and spreading wider. :D . beside that annoying blue liquid at the corner, The LCD is 100% working, no blind spot. all sensors just fine. if it is really ink, how can it trapped there, because i didn't find any cracks. the funny thing is when i first time realized it when i was injecting my printer inks. this sounds stupid but i really have no idea what happen. :D :D
I have a question, when putting on the glass after you put the glue, what if the glue touches the two buttons on the sides of the home button or maybe the camera? will it cause any damage?
Ron Miles Man, if that is your first time separating an lcd, I'd highly recommend that you get a temperature gun. The glue is most pliable at 175-200°. Too hot and you'll burn the lcd. Too cold, the playing can or wire can end up cracking the lcd. Applying heat by feel, is very imprecise.
I bought another kit before I saw this video. It came withg a plastic toolkit and 300lse tape, but no LOCA and no wire. Can you tell me what gauge wire and where I can get the glue? Do you sell them separately? For a note 5. Thanks.
what if I mail you the screens I want to use to replace what I have now? I wanna do the back and front from back to pink. I asked someone here at the mall and they said it was too hard and shouldn't be done but I see that you did it succefully and having a pink phone would make me the happiest ever.
so my note 5 has a unique issue I think....the paint from under the glass on the top left corner is peeling off right on edge. started off looking like a bubble before I realized what was going on. Alll I need is a glass replacement then right? Samsung repair center wanted to charge me for a full screen replacement smh.....
should have used a hot plate to spread heat evenly across the screen. you have a burnt mark in the top of the lcd from applying to much heat with the heat gun. Overall Good JOB! :)
I purchased a used Note 5 from a associate and I did not realize until I got home that the screen has a permanent burn-in image baked on the screen. Would this technique of replacing the glass only and not the full digitizer fix my screen burned image? None of the burn-in apps worked.
I have a question, when putting on the glass after you put the glue, what if the glue touches the two buttons on the sides of the home button or maybe the camera? will it cause any damage?
Great vid man...buuuut I burned my screen with the heat gun D= Any tips on where to get a replacement lcd for cheap that works for the note 5? I mean, the lcd still works and all...but there's obvious screen burn. Especially when the screen is off =(
that speaker mesh is what did in my first one, half way down the screen i realized the middle had caught on it... worse it had cause part to dig into polarizer layer causing weird pressure gradients. didnt pop the panel visibly but it went purple then died slowly. as much as i cringe watching this done with out a heat pad, that may be the one advantage.
May have to replace the screen to recover my contacts and photos - haven't been successful in unlocking the phone with a keyboard and connecting to my computer
I used a blowdryer and it worked just fine, I feel like the heat gun is probably the more professional option, but safer? It gets so much hotter than a blow dryer so it's probably not safer for the phone parts. Takes longer to heat up with the blowdryer though
Is this glass on the note 5 same as the Galaxy S5? You know how in the s5 you can remove it in pieces and in te s3,s4 it come out just in one piece.. If you can please let me know it will be great.. Thank you
+kAZASDJAZ KuZISSINAK I'm not sure if he burned it or it was pressed in by the pressure from the cards at the top of the screen. This phone seriously does not burn easily at all.
My little brother dropped my phone and I see the LEDs turn on (blue one) but the screen is black when I first picked it up when it fell half of it was black couple days later the screen turned fully black do you know the fix to this ?
I have a Note 2 and the screen is cracked and black, the phone comes on but can't see anything but the blue notification light is blinking what needs to be fixed??? Thanks
Dennis minitrail probably he used too much the hot air gun and melted the data pins tracks from the microusb, because those data pins are the ones that allow your phone to be recognized by the pc and the fast charging power plug
Even I did a full screen repair and the lcd came out to be cracked (because the glue wasn’t sticking so I pushed hard) and then portion on the screen isn’t responsive to touch. And screen cost like $50 so expensiveeee
After taking off the glass my phone went into a never ending boot loop. My phone is now rendered unusable. Idk how taking off the screen did this. Its pissing me off
Impressive!
Thanks ! You have great videos by the way I learned a lot from watching your tutorials
+ErCellutions That's awesome man! I appreciate it. Did you see my most recent dry ice 'glass only' video? I want to see if it works on Samsungs too.
+JerryRigEverything I haven't send me a link if you got it, I was wanted to use the dry ice for the s6 edge I wonder if it's possible to do it
+ErCellutions i posted the video to my channel last night. I was wondering the same thing. It just might make the s6 edge possible. I don't have any broken ones on hand at the moment though.
+JerryRigEverything I'll check it out now let me see if I can't get my hands on one for you I'll ship it over

Congrats man! Lots of work there! And some true skill!

Dang!!! props!!! crazy difficult repair that you made look super easy.

Send an email info@ercellutions.com with color and model of the note 5 need to create an invoice for international order thanks
Where did you buy this Display kit?
the kit that you sell came with the right amount of glue or i have to measured? how do i know how much I have to use? and how do you know when is enough heat without damaging the actual screen? how do you measure the right temp?
90-100 degrees, heat gun thermometer, yes it's enough
Hello Friend. Thank you very much for sharing your video. I hope and you can help me with some doubts. What material is the thread you used to take off the glass? And what is the liquid you use to clean the LCD ???
I meed to do the same as you, where can i buy everything you use starting for the new glass the equipment and the glue?
Hi, I can't seem to find the repair kit/parts for this on your website. Could you point me in the right direction please?
You're my life savior. Thank you so much!!!!

Other videos show repair tech brushing dust out of main cable latch connection.
I liked your video = I need to know what wire you used though
Great video. what kind of glue do you use?

big effort, good job
What the of wire should i purchase ? I'll be doing the glass replacement tomorrow. and thanks man.
Ron Miles Molybdenum wire, the thinner the better, get 0.1mm or 0.08mm. Thinner is weaker, but also cuts through easier, and less chance of breakage.
What's that white grayish part on the amoled. Did it suffer damaged from heat gun or was it just a reflection great job though 5 star job
He burned the polorizer
What did you use to remove the glue from the screen?
I bought another kit before I saw this video. It came withg a plastic toolkit and 300lse tape, but no LOCA and no wire. Can you tell me what gauge wire and where I can get the glue? Do you sell them separately? For a note 5. Thanks.
+duncandogster Also, how much LOKA to use for a Note 5?

Can you please say what was the thing you cleaned the glue with?
he did, a toothbrush and 90% rubbing alcohol

should have used a hot plate to spread heat evenly across the screen. you have a burnt mark in the top of the lcd from applying to much heat with the heat gun. Overall Good JOB! :)
how much UV Glue did you applied?

Great vid man...buuuut I burned my screen with the heat gun D=

can you use a hair dryer instead of the heat gun?
that speaker mesh is what did in my first one, half way down the screen i realized the middle had caught on it... worse it had cause part to dig into polarizer layer causing weird pressure gradients. didnt pop the panel visibly but it went purple then died slowly. as much as i cringe watching this done with out a heat pad, that may be the one advantage.

Can use hair dryer? I dont have heat gun?
i have used a hair drier for taking glass/screens before
