Delilah is a wonderful adoptive mom to Makongo, but I am glad she is finally letting Nala get close and have him a little bit. Delilah is older and needs more rest. Makongo is going to become a lot more active when he gets really into the toddler stage. Nala will be able to keep up with him. Nala will be a great mom of her own, hopefully one day in the near future.
Who knew you were going to be a new mom at 52 Dalia!? Life can give us amazing surprises and turn good from bad. You're doing such a good job! They clearly are totally bonded. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Finally our sweet Nala can have Mokongo, even if it's just for a few seconds or minutes. She loves her little brother so much. Thanks to Mama Dalila for allowing her to do so.❤❤❤❤
Nala is a beautiful sweet girl. Shes a wonderful sister. She will be a great mom one day. I cant help but think Gentaro would be a great match for her. They would make some beautiful babies.
Nala is such a sweet girl. She was very gentle and seemed very happy to have her baby brother even if it wasn't for long. I'm not surprised that Dalila didn't react negatively, I don't believe she is a "helicopter parent" her style of parenting was demonstrated by Gysai with Kiango. Gysai was very relaxed around the other female gorillas, particularly Nemsi, who frequently cuddled and carried Kiango. Although Dalila let Nala take Makongo, she never took her eyes off them and when she felt the "lesson" was over she came to get him back. It was heartwarming to see Makongo run back to his mum, she makes him feel safe. 💖💖🦍
Precious baby boy lost his Mama in tragic circumstances. It's wonderful to see his family step up, and surround him with so much love. His future looks bright with magnificent matriarch Dalila as his adoptive Mama, and big sister Nala and others giving him such loving parental protection.
Yes, Baby Makongo is truly lucky. He has a family that loves him and a wonderful foster mother. He’s sure to grow into a strong, gentle, and magnificent silverback♥️🦍💪
@@lucylang75 You must not know A lot about gorillas. Makongo is thriving. I wont reply to anymore of your negative comments when they are no where near the truth.

Makongo, listen little cousin, you are one lucky and unlucky gorilla in same time, your mom left you baby, but you are very lucky to have your very loving sister Nala with you,and very very lucky to have Dalila to watch over you,i bet she promise your mom that she gonna raise a strong gorilla out of you,and your mama Tamidol is watching you, dont you worry about that, she keep an eye on all of you❤❤❤
I can safely say this is my favourite video on TH-cam. And this troop have won my heart. The selfless care Dalila puts in to looking after Makongo, the expressions of love on all of their faces when it comes to the baby, but especially Nala who just comes across as a kind and gentle and loving big sister. So sad to loose their mum but so beautiful to still have each other. Thank you for your videos of this troop. I love them to bits ❤❤❤
Thank you for enjoying the story of this family. Nala has loved the baby since the moment baby was born. Also, all the members of this troop are very loving. Thank you for your lovely comment🥰🥰🥰🤝🦍♥️.
This is very sweet and Nala did so well. Im sure Delila would appreciate some help in time. I know what its like to be 52 (?) and being that age with a baby must be exhausting! Thank you for the update :)
It almost reminds me of Sumomo choosing Toto (over her sisters). I know this is a very different situation, but sometimes these amazing older gorillas adopt these babies and it blows my mind. ❤
Did anyone else notice that Nala’s whole demeanor was different when she decided to pick up the baby? She was always submissive to her mom (of course) and Dalila + Makongo. Also noticed that Makongo ended the interaction with Nala because he wanted him mama. ❤
Nala taking the baby caused Dalila’s dissatisfaction, However, after a while, the baby wanted to return to Dalila's arms. The connection between the baby and Dalila is mutual. When Dalila looked through the glass and moved toward the baby, the baby also crawled toward her on its own.
@shawna, when he climbed on her you could almost see her thinking 'well if I just move away verryyy slowly Delilah might not notice or mind'! 🫣 But she's a good girl as well and knew not to take it too far 😊
How sweet. Nala was very gentle. But I loved seeing Makongo go back to his safety. Delila is such a good mother to the baby right now. But I do worry as he gets more active. In time maybe Nala could help some but right now he is thriving and I love watching these teachable moments. ❤
@@SPMarti-69 02:19 When Nala carried Makongo to another room, Dalila started shaking. At that moment, Dalila didn't want Nala to take the baby, so she made sounds to express her displeasure. Later, Dalila kept watching the baby through the glass, and when she saw the baby signaling for her, she immediately went to the door and brought the baby back into her arms.
Dalila has two lumps on her neck and chin, but there's no need to worry-they don't affect her health. I agree, Nala was very gentle and careful with him. A few more excursions with Nala and they will be great together some to give Dalila a break
Nala is so sweet! She has loved her baby brother since he was born 🥰
I hope she can help Delilah raise her baby bro. Just carrying him around would help a bunch.
Nala was so sweet and gentle with Makongo. Dalila was watchful but didn’t interfere. So many sweethearts. 🦍♥️

That’s a great idea. I wonder if they are related or not? Yep! Tamidol’s dad and Gentaro’s grandfather are the same gorilla - Bitam. That won’t work.

Nemsi took care of Kiango when Gyasi died. It was such an advantage that he knew her so well.

Yes, Dalila is protesting against Nala taking the baby away, but she understands that her sister Nala won't hurt the baby.

What are the lumps/growths/swellings on Dahlias' neck/chin/throat? I'm a newbie to this troup(e), so I'm unknowing of her history.
