In this video, elder sister Nala took baby Makongo in front of Dalila.
Soon after, baby Makongo reached out to Dalila through the glass and ended up jumping into her arms.
Although Nala showed deep love, kisses, and gentle embraces, baby Makongo clearly showed a stronger attachment to Dalila.

• Nala, ♀, 9 years old
• Makongo, ♂, 5 months old (offspring of Lomako)
Nala is such a sweet girl. She was very gentle and seemed very happy to have her baby brother even if it wasn't for long. I'm not surprised that Dalila didn't react negatively, I don't believe she is a "helicopter parent" her style of parenting was demonstrated by Gysai with Kiango. Gysai was very relaxed around the other female gorillas, particularly Nemsi, who frequently cuddled and carried Kiango. Although Dalila let Nala take Makongo, she never took her eyes off them and when she felt the "lesson" was over she came to get him back. It was heartwarming to see Makongo run back to his mum, she makes him feel safe. 💖💖🦍
Makongo looks happy and he is such a sweet little guy! Good job Nala!!!!! Love this troop!
Delilah is a wonderful adoptive mom to Makongo, but I am glad she is finally letting Nala get close and have him a little bit. Delilah is older and needs more rest. Makongo is going to become a lot more active when he gets really into the toddler stage. Nala will be able to keep up with him. Nala will be a great mom of her own, hopefully one day in the near future.
I hope she can help Delilah raise her baby bro. Just carrying him around would help a bunch.
He is so cute. I can't take it! Big sis was really good with him, and Dalila was very protective.

MAKONGO crawled to his big sis NALA and STRAIGHT into her arms 🥰🥰🥰 It reminds me of aLL the times when Nala would Stay Close to 🌺TAMIDOL🌺 hardly ever letting her Mum out of sight. And Every chance Nala got, she would try to touch MaKongo’s toes 😂 or Caress his head. She’s been IN LOVE 😍 with that baby from the Very beginning. I for one am CHEERING 🥳 on behalf of NALA 👑 and her Efforts to take on a More Active roLe in her brother’s child rearing. Nala is a beautiful sweet girl. Shes a wonderful sister. She will be a great mom one day. I cant help but think Gentaro would be a great match for her. They would make some beautiful babies.

How sweet. Nala was very gentle. But I loved seeing Makongo go back to his safety. Delila is such a good mother to the baby right now. But I do worry as he gets more active. In time maybe Nala could help some but right now he is thriving and I love watching these teachable moments. ❤

It would be FABULOUS if big sister 🌺NALA🌺 were to get some Training from the Keepers to help **Grow her Bond with baby brother MAKONGO** I’m certain that Foster Mom Queen DALILA 👑 would be Delighted to have the Xtra hands in Caring for him 😂 He’s such a Sweet Baby, so Alert and Curious too. I nearly burst with Excitement and Joy 🥰 every time to watch MAKONGO getting a Feed 🍼 from the Keepers. When TAMIDOL was still aLive, I remember Thoroughly enjoying Watching him nurse 🤱 He had such a Wonderfully healthy Appetite and would aLways be looking so LOVINGLY at his Mum’s face with those Big Beautiful eyes ♥️
