Rest in Peace Paul Reubens aka Pee Wee Herman. You were part of my childhood and I must have watched this film I don't know how many times. I also remember the show Pee Wee's Playhouse which was also great. You will definitely be missed. Farewell 🙏.
Hands down one of the greatest comedy movies made of all time!! A true classic for the ages. Very glad I saw it in late 1985 at the movies. Rest in peace Pee Wee!
R.I.P. Paul Reubens. Thank you for being Pee Wee Herman and making me laugh in my childhood. No one can replace you being Pee Wee Herman. Pee Wee now rode his bicycle to heaven.
Out of all of Tim Burton's movies, I think that this one is my personal favorite. I'm a really big fan of Pee-wee Herman and I was devastated about his death. Pee-wee Herman was truly a legend. R.I.P Paul Reubens better known as Pee-wee Herman (August 27, 1952 - July 31, 2023)

So glad I was introduced to this movie as a kid or I probably would have thought it looked dumb. But it's a classic! Love it. My sister watched it over and over and over so I did too.
The movie turns 35 today! Paul Reuben in one of his most iconic roles as the happy-go-lucky man-child full of joy and wonderment The crux of this movie focuses on Pee-Wee and his most treasured item, his bicycle He goes to buy a new horn for it then discovers it goes missing Pee-Wee then goes on a a trip across the country running into several colorful characters searching for his bike, to him it’s not a possession but more of an extension of his personality Paul Ruebens makes Pee-Wee come to life being that he’s an adult that refuses to grow up and brings some unexpected joy and positivity to this around him Danny Elfman’s score gives the film a kooky feel First time Tim Burton’s direction is so recognizable now to this day he has all of his signature elements from his trippy dream sequences to black and white colors to childlike innocence The chase through a Warner Bros. studio set is the most fun portion Morgan Fairchild and James Brolin even make interesting cameos here! The movie is quite quotable and still remains to be one of Burton’s most memorable flicks as well as cementing Paul Reubens career The legacy of Pee-Wee still goes on strong even to this day
This is a definite classic! If your a fan of Pee Wee Herman then this movie is a zany treat. I know I am and I've seen it many times over-I have it on DVD.
😊Pee-wee: There's a lotta things about me you don't know anything about, Dottie. Things you wouldn't understand. Things you couldn't understand. Things you shouldn't understand. Dottie: I don't understand. Pee-wee: You don't wanna get mixed up with a guy like me. I'm a loner, Dottie. A rebel. So long, Dott.
What great about this movie is that it really is a film everyone can enjoy. It has slapstick humor that would appeal to younger kids and even older folks. It has that 3 stooges type of humor. I started watching it with 9 year old and 7 year old and they think it’s hysterical.
I saw it in theaters when I was 8 and it became one of my favorite movies. The story is well-written enough that you can take it seriously, without needing to understand everything it's satirizing and sending up. Kids can enjoy the silly dialogue and slapstick while adults can appreciate the irony and irreverence of it.
Such a cult classic and childhood favorite. I still get that excited feeling when getting ready to watch it. Snuggling up with your favorite blanket and person. Lights turned down, Saturday night. No cares of the real world outside. Just the nostalgic and sometimes dark but funny Peewee’s Big Adventure playing on the tv. I think I know what I’m doing tonight.
My gal has not seen this movie. I told her that before she could watch it, we needed to watch "The Bicycle Thief". P.W'sB.A. is an Homage to this classic cinema masterpiece. Check out the similarities.

They should do a remake only this time.. After Pee Wee has his bike stolen, he drowns Francis. Pee Wee loses his mind and goes on a pycho killing spree early 80s horror movie style trying to find his bike.
I loved this movie when I was a kid! It was my favorite movie…but it also traumatized me (large marge!) I wish I could find it so I can show it to my son and traumatize him!
It's just not funny. The chuckle brothers are better than this and the breakfast scene is a total rip off of chitty chitty bang bang. By the end I wanted to wee on pee wee he was so annoying. How did Tim burton improve so much from here ? Well he could only 🤷 improve from here. This it utter 🐕 💩

I like how they timed Pee-Wee yelling "Merry Christmas!" in place of "Tequila". 😂

It’s because of this movie that I associate the song Tequila with Pee-wee Herman
Agreed! Been this way my whole life
I used to call it the Pee-wee Herman song. Took me years before I learned it already existed before this movie.

Paul Reuben in one of his most iconic roles as the happy-go-lucky man-child full of joy and wonderment
The crux of this movie focuses on Pee-Wee and his most treasured item, his bicycle
He goes to buy a new horn for it then discovers it goes missing
Pee-Wee then goes on a a trip across the country running into several colorful characters searching for his bike, to him it’s not a possession but more of an extension of his personality
Paul Ruebens makes Pee-Wee come to life being that he’s an adult that refuses to grow up and brings some unexpected joy and positivity to this around him
Danny Elfman’s score gives the film a kooky feel
First time Tim Burton’s direction is so recognizable now to this day he has all of his signature elements from his trippy dream sequences to black and white colors to childlike innocence
The chase through a Warner Bros. studio set is the most fun portion
Morgan Fairchild and James Brolin even make interesting cameos here!

Miss you Paul. Think about you all of the time. Very sad that you are no longer with us. Sending you forever hugs. Rest in peace.
Crazy to think that Pee Wee married Simone and had a baby that turned into the Penquin. 😳
Loved this movie as a child and as an adult but as a kid the clown scene scared the crap out of me and gave me nightmares as a kid. Lol.
Best movie ❤️ 🚴
