  • Downstream at eagles nest on DPVs
Visibility was about 20-30ft but wasn't enough to get a true grasp of how big some of the rooms are.
289ft max depth, 2:30 runtime, 72* water temp

You most certainly do. You cannot rely purely on the rebreather. At any point in a closed circuit dive you MUST have enough open circuit gas to get out of the water safely. We call it bailout.

You clip them on once you're in the water. There's a small set of stairs with rope down each handrail to clip the bottles to in the water, and then you slowly attach them one by one in the appropriate spot until you're all set up and ready to scoot off to the cave entrance.

I get it I do is there a couple of things that just don't really make much sense for instance a lot of people say they do this because you'll see things that no humans will probably ever see and that ties into my beginning statement of I get it but what I don't get is that eagles nest is humongous inside from what I hear and because of that you really aren't seeing things that other humans haven't seen because nobody seen them .. your lights only penetrate but so far That's like you're going into a pitch black environment to see all this stuff but it's black..
And then the other thing I don't really understand is why if there is a restriction don't you guys just make it bigger? Who in the hell cares whether or not it is it's natural naturalness. Get some underwater gear and make that whole bigger.. do you really think that people in 500 years from now in the future are going to give a shit whether or not humans cut open the entrance to that restriction so it was absolutely easy for anyone to do to save lives
