How to Install Honda Pilot Roof Rails 2016-2022

- As we are continuing to branch out in our adventures, we decided to add a roof rack so we can bring a tent with us and do some more cool adventures! We decided to go DIY, so we got these roof rails on Amazon and was extremely happy with it, and they seemed to be OEM because the instructions were from Honda!

Thanks for the video! I put mine on, but had to make a few changes. There weren’t enough washers to go under every nut, so I used them on the larger chrome nuts. Seemed like that’s where they belonged. Also, the very front strip had a plastic snap on the bolt (which broke of course). I put a hexnut on it and used some JB weld to hopefully hold in place. (I guess Honda got smarter by actually putting a real nut on that front bolt).

Can this hold a hollavator with a kayak on it? And do you not the total weight it can hold?

once they are all on, is it possible to remove them without damaging the parts?
Absolutely, you can totally remove with no problem. I’m taking mine off when I trade in my lease. The little piece that is cut will need to be replaced. It’s cheap from Honda or after market!

Did gap go down after being in the sun?
Gap went down some, I ended up using black silicone and put a weight on top of it! Lol. Can’t even tell now! Some people used JB weild, but that is permanent?
What cross bars go with this, or what did you end up using for cross bars?
