Within 5 years the view east from Middlesbrough station would be changed with the building of Middlesbrough FC's Riverside Stadium the building of which led to the demolition of the brick warehouse. It's a pity you didn't see much freight. You missed the country's unique potash trains.
You were about a year too late. The previous year problems with the Class 143 gearboxes led to lots of foreign 1st Generation DMUs being drafted in including Class 116, 119 and 120.

Nice work, what's the trailing unit being towed at 15:27 with the big back windows by the class 90? Some old Boggie (class 200 DEMU) conversion or something?

      It’s a converted inspection saloon

The 4th vehicle looks like the Regional Civil Engineers (RCE) Track Inspection Coach DB977144; (TOPS Code QXA). Built in 1960-61 by BR Swindon Works this coach was formerly RFK (Restaurant First with Kitchen) numbered M314. It was rebuilt by BR in 1970-71 as a RBK (Restaurant/Buffet with Kitchen) and renumbered 1622. It managed another 11 years in passenger service before BR started to introduce new Mk3A catering vehicles in 1979-80 and shortly after a number of older Mk1 catering vehicles such as this one were withdrawn. 1622 was withdrawn in February 1982 but being in otherwise good condition it went into store at Carlisle Kingmoor Yard. It moved to Carlisle Currock Wagon Works in August 1983 which is where the conversion to departmental stock is likely to have taken place. It emerged in 1984 as London Midland Region Regional Civil Engineers Track Inspection Vehicle DB 977144. Its use in this role was relatively short lived and from early 1990 onward it moved to the Western Region Mobile Track Assessment fleet but as a brake force runner based at Old Oak Common. After privatisation it passed to Serco Railtest but was out of traffic by April 2002 when it was moved to DERA at Pig's Bay, Shoeburyness. It saw no further use and was finally broken up on site by Serco staff in September 2003.
The final coach looks like Track Inspection Coach DB999508 (TOPS Code QXA). What look like open doors in the sides are recessed so that oberservations of the track can be undertaken without getting out of the train. If it is then it survives in preservation. I don't know much about this vehicle.
The first 3 coaches are probably only there to act as brake force vehicles.
