race Kelly in 5 Minutes | 20th Century Hall of Fame 1619pm 6.1.2025 no mean feat, eh? imagine that.... fawkin' hell!!!! next time i meet someone who "literally is" their moniker i will not only jump for joy but literally buy myself a couple of drinks. looking forward to this... if you see me sat having a pint - you know why...
2:21 "a cynic might even remark the prince was simply the hereditary proprietor of an amusement park, and the princess no more than a woman who made a living by pretending to be what she was not" DAMN!
She was once asked why she agreed to get married and she said, her makeup calls were an hour earlier than the other actresses and she realised she was getting old and her time as a movie star was nearly over.
The "Duchess" of "American Riviera Orchards" could learn from this LADY. Meanwhile, Ginger and Nutmeg are best left baked into pastries, used to season red meats, or left on rhe spice rack.
Her background and breeding snagged her a prince. She was also bright and charming and caring to her people and the prince was not. A bankrupt aristocrat that had to settle down and get a heir. He was miserable and uncharming and very selfish. She came with a million to help the cause.
She wanted to be a princess, "but since she had been born in America, she had to lower her sights and settled for being a movie star". As an American, I think I'm offended 😅
Those recordings were made using carbon microphones and that's why they sound the way they do, also during the early AI days these voices were the first to be replicated, first because they were already quite compressed and easy to replicate, and second, due to the abundance of footage we have, if you want to replicate a voice of a 1920s narrator you can use his whole life's work to do so
@originallynot makes sense i guess x) although silly pathé for using such microphones in the 50s or 60s when this was made. i guess they were cheaper than what was used in films?
@Lattamonsteri Indeed they were much cheaper, it was a way to get a reasonably good microphone at a fair price back then, so they were very popular even into the late 20th century
best compliment ever was that i reminded two older ladies of grace kelly

Beautiful Woman! Great Actress!

Hello 👋
It was 1982 she passed away.
Excellent...
It's an absolute miracle her daughter was not injured!
Very good actress who gave it all away to play princess. Baffling decision.
우아하고 아름답다❤
Piękno i klasa.
Extaordinary 👏 🌷 👏 🌷 👏
Good healthy people back then

Sings Grace Kelly by Mika..
It was in the end in an instant she was no longer among us. But she played her role as a mark that she passed by here.
Her background and breeding snagged her a prince. She was also bright and charming and caring to her people and the prince was not. A bankrupt aristocrat that had to settle down and get a heir. He was miserable and uncharming and very selfish. She came with a million to help the cause.
what is that piano piece?
She was a lovely looking woman and a fine actor.
It’s my opinion that she married beneath herself

No finances
You now have Donald Trump! Time to feel more offended?
...and slept with most of her MARRIED co-stars. She certainly was a "star" in Hollywood.
She sold her soul
Just it is a pitty she wore fur
I hope you're vegan
Why?
why is it a pity. it was a different time princess
No one cares
why does this sound like AI narration to me? xD is it?
How old are you?
Is this your first Pathe video?
It’s the same dude in a lot of them.
Completely human and now dead.
Wow. Lol
@tonyarichards5430 if you say so :P I'm subbed to the channel but I don't recognize the voice :(
