I love watching anything with Grace Kelly in it - movies or documentaries. She was stunningly beautiful, stylish, graceful, elegant and a very talented actress. Her kindness, warmth and love seemed to radiate from within her. She did a lot of good work for Monaco, founding the Princess Grace Foundation in 1964 to support local artisans and established AMADE Mondiale, a non-profit organization for children's rights, revitalized the Monte Carlo Ballet, established the Monaco Garden Club to promote flower arranging, she supported the preservation of the principality's remaining Belle Époque architecture, she assumed the Presidency of the Monaco Red Cross and transformed it into one of the most philanthropic branches globally and was dedicated to many other humanitarian causes. I always feel so sad that her life ended the way it did. She had so much more to contribute and the world lost a very special person way too soon.
This is total bullshit! Rainier was a bounder, a serial cheater. Her children only brought her immeasurable grief and trauma! Grace was unhappy and turned to drink. That’s how it really was.
The truth is she was far more unfaithful to Rrainer than he was to her. Both were guilty....but she was worse. :) She agreed to marry him after meeting him......only once. And her father paid HIM $ 2 million in those dollars for her....to marry him. What a joke. Monaco was a run down, undeveloped cesspool before she married him. The three grown children are a total joke, as well. :)
@@ellenmorse8559 So few people want to believe the truth. :) The entire family is just so "socially undesirable". ALL of the real "Royal Families" in England, the Nordic and Scandinavian countries, etc. think the brother and two sisters are a joke. :)
@@ellenmorse8559 funny I’ve read many many biographies, including the one that was written by Grace Kelly herself and never had they mentioned drinking or him being a blonde flounder or none of that I think you must have read the wrong book
My mother and aunt attended school with Grace Kelly in the late 1930's in Philadelphia. My grandmother had a program from a school Christmas pageant where she played the Virgin Mary.
Maybe not all. I imagine William and Catherine have a very happy marriage. Edward and Sophie seem to be doing well. I also think Charles and Camilla are very happy.
After Grace Kelly died, Dr. James Dobson (of the Christian agency, Focus on the Family) spoke about his recent interview with Grace. Dr. Dobson founded a conservative family support Christian ministry called Focus on the Family which had a radio broadcast for about 30 years, I believe. Grace apparently wanted to unload her sadness and her struggles with her children, because she felt she had not bonded to them sufficiently when they were small. She was called away for society charity functions in Monaco, when she, looking back, knew she should be with her children. So at the time of the interview with Dr. Dobson, her children were teenagers. They were rebellious, especially one particular teen whom I don't want to name (in case this somehow gets back to them) and cause more harm. Grace felt not being with her children for many hours and days as they were growing up, led to the resentment and alienation. She felt she should have taken a stand for her children and faced the demands of Monaco unwaveringly, for her children's sake. Dr. Dobson spoke of the sadness Grace had for her children, feeling she had failed them. I just hope that the children will know - - really, really know, how much their mother loved them. . .and that we ALL make mistakes. . .that we must forgive ourselves, as well as others. . .and that love is the most powerful force in the Universe. . .it never dies - like matter, it can neither be created or destroyed. . .and they will see their mother one day, if they live in love and forgiveness.
If this information was given to you by the good Dr then he certainly crossed the line with his ethics. People in his profession have a responsibility to respect confidentiality and the ethics of their profession. What she felt and shared with him is nobody's business.
As a teenager I wrote for her photo. So beautiful . A printed signature but I was happy. Still have it in my 80s with many favourites. W,hat can I do with them ? I love them all.
I felt that Rainier had to marry for his royal image. She fit the bill but was there real love between them?. I am not sure why she married him unless she thought it would be a fairy tale life. She left her acting talents behind which was something she loved. Alfred Hitchcock offered her a role in a movie but she had to turn it down beause her husband wouldn't allow it and it wasn't good for her royal image. I don't think she was very happy in her marriage. She went from being glamorous before marriage to being dowdy. Her children were wild. Her son has had a lot of affairs and a lot of paternity suits. Poor Grace.
I believe she married him because there were only about ten men in the entire world that would be acceptable to her parents. She made the best of her limited choices.
Oh my goodness! I had no idea. Affairs with married men, abortion, WOW! So glad she found love but even then she struggled so much, personally and emotionally 😢
I grew up in Philly. My mother is 92. She was obsessed with Grace Kelly. Personally, I don't see it. A different era, I guess. I feel like she spent a good part of her life trying to assimilate to this manufactured celebrity fantasy .
Rainier was gay and Monaco really needed a lift..Monaco was in very low point. They were looking for someone to bring Monaco…She was perfect for the part
I thought her last film was “To Catch a Thief” for Hitchcock with Cary Grant. It was filmed in Monte Carlo and as she was contracted to do it PR had to let her do it. He had to marry a high profile rich American to help Monarco’s (or Rainier’s) financial fortunes, unfortunately she was perfect for the role. However, she was always the epitome of decorum in public.
I would venture to say that there’s a fair amount of embellishment in this profile in the effort to inject some drama into this profile and to present some flaws in the seeming perfection. Needless to say, this listener does not trust what is narrated here.
What if Marilyn Monroe and Grace Kelly had lived? Instead Marilyn Monroe didn’t take any pills that day meaning she lived and Grace Kelly wasn’t driving that day meaning no car accident and she lived how would there lives had been like as the years progressed? Through career, fashion etc.
This is a terrible rendition of her beautiful life. It gives no blame on the men and her relationships who obviously stocked and prayed upon her. Otherwise make her look like a floozy which she was not.
I had to rewind the bit about visiting orphanages because something didn't add-up especially the remark made about her glowing cheeks. I thought I missed something but no I hadn't. What kind of orphanages did they run around the place that kept kids up until 4:00 a.m.? Can even young children stay up until 4:00 A.M. even when they want to. I certainly couldn't. I remember being really excited about going to see Merry Poppins in a drivin cinema with my family and another family. It was summertime and too hot to stay in the car. Those days, people used to bring blankets with them lay them down in front of the car and make a night picnic of the whole affair. I remember being excited waiting for the film to start but the next thing I knew was that I was screaming, having woken up in one of the older girl's arms who was trying to calm me down. I had stressed myself so much to stay awake that I must have had a nightmare. The film was nearly at its end. I never forgave my mother for not waking me up. I have seen it with my own kids. They just can't do it at young age and thank God for that. So, I doubt that the glowing cheeks of Ms Kelly had much to do with reading late night stories to orphans. Given her reputation for sleeping around and number of handsome men showing off their toned bodies shirtless on the yachts round Monaco harbours, my guess is that the glowing cheeks were the result of more physical exertion than reading. I just hope the prince got his fill as well and she didn't return with a headache. The hinge of her thighs couldn't have been short of visitors. Looking at her photographs, I guess it would have been a waste otherwise anyway. I am sure the narrator knew what he was insinuating unless the kid is still a virgin himself.🥰😉😏😜

Grace Kelly is timeless. If you look at her pictures they don't scream any particular era. Her look would suit any era.
Reading to orphans all night? Not sure if orphans stay up all night, or how many resided in the tiny principality.

Purposely vague
Being a “celebrity” is not what we think!
It is very strenuous and difficult, requiring support from others. It's common among the wealthy, who have a lot of money
Nicole Kidman played Grace in a movie.
Her husband was gay but needed children. I think there was love there but he couldn’t come out because of his titles and position
