I bought the whole kit for $40 that included the belt pully wheel and roller wheels, lucky for that i did because it turned the pulley wheel was the one squeaking. The new wheels spun very nice until i put the spring washer on that came with the kit, however after putting the machine back together the drum seem to spin with out any problem however under load that might be different. I will make another post of there is a problem. thanks again for the video.
Many people don't realize that the first 4 screws (philips) are the same. Its so that the door can be placed on the right side or the left, thats if you want your door to open a certain way, depending on how much space you have or the ascetics of the room.
I just a free dryer of this make model and is doing exactly this. squeals on start up and when loaded up. But works fine otherwise. So I will definitely be doing this weekend
Nice video I have a Maytag Neptune dryer that is squeaking, so I am going to follow the instructions on your video and let you know how the PM project goes.
That is a spring clip pliers A conventional pliers closes the jaws when you compress the handles. The spring slip pliers jaws open on pressing the handles. The tips are small pins that fit the holes in the circlip/spring clip. Most hardware stores and auto parts stores will have them.
So awesome. Thanks for providing this.
You’re very welcome 😊👍
What's the special tool for the ring called?
That’s a circlip spreader tool.
Ours does a constant dimming or droning!..
Thank you

@@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel thank you for making this video save me having to buy a new dryer
Great instruction. Mine is an electric one. Would the flints cause the fire harzard?
Thanks Tony,
Can you rephrase that question?

What is the name of the plier-like tool that opens the spring clips? And might you have a link to where I could buy it?
Spring clamp pliers
@@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel Thank you. I appreciate your quick reply.
Great video. Would you by chance have the part number for the replacement drum roller? Thank you.

If best had a little help out here in Colorado that would be much appreciated.
Thanks Robert,
Can you send your question to my email at: scottthefixitguy@yahoo.com
One more question . . . the belt should be installed with the flat side touching the drum and the ridged side on the outside, correct?
I know this is super old, but I just had to look this up. The Man On The Internet says to put the grooves inward, to grip things better.

Wave washer inside or outside of wheel?
my glides were worn out so I replaced them, should I put some silicon on the glides?
Did you only replace one wheel? I’m getting conflicting info on whether there are two wheels or only one. Please help!
It’s best to replace both wheels👍
*Size Matters...*
*5/16"* will work better than 5/8" *Socket* mentioned...
Was thinking that too
Hey I have the same problem with the same dryer model :D ! You mention a special tool for the spring clip. What is the tool?
Circlip pliers
