JDM 1997 Toyota Century V12 | The Car Only Diplomats Could Drive, Until NOW!

  • Welcome! Today we're diving into one of Japan's greatest luxury sedans to come out of the "Golden Era." Powered by the only V12 mass-produced in Japan, The 1997 Toyota Century V12. It's one of those vehicles that's you really need to see in order to believe what was built here. It would appear from the outside just a normal luxury sedan available to just any consumer who had the means to purchase it, but instead was designed and intended solely for Japanese diplomats and business executives. Inside you'll find a showcase of boss-like features that you'd expect from Rolls Royce, but in a package far more exclusive. Enjoy!

I daily my 2005 that looks just like this one. It's just the most peaceful drive. I actually enjoy rolling up the windows and turning off the radio in pure silence. The suspension is bliss.

Under the front passenger seat is a pull-out plastic that I believe is for storing the slippers of the VIP. When he/she wants to stick their feet through the front seat, the first (of course) take off their shoes, the driver takes out the slippers for the VIP, the seat middle opens up, and all is well in the world.

After that he came to me and asked did i put a chip in it. I told him no. He then pointed to the sticker in the engine bay and then to a computer screen. The sticker said 276hp. The screen said 305hp.
