Pokemon, Gotta Reference Them All?! | Pokemon Sun and Moon Episode 93 (Recap + Review)

Episode 93 of the Sun and Moon anime titled: Lillie and the Cane of Alola!. What an episode. The play at some point stopped being a play. I can't even imagine how rotom manage to make sense. Either that, or the parent were just too nice to say anything. Also, why didn't kukui say anything? Seems weird doesn't it?

The episode is essentially a tribute to Megumi Hayashibara's various character roles, the actress character Musashi plays is named Musabarbara, a reference to Barbara Gordon (aka batgirl) which Megumi voices in the Batman animated series (a more subtle shout-out is that the name Barbara also contains the word "bara" as does Megumi's own last name Hayashibara, likely one of the reasons she chose that role)
And then there's the Revolutionary Girl Utena cameo and the very nice rendition of Star Wars IV's poster (minus a Leia stand in, likely out of respect for the late Carrie Fisher)

Same. Although I wished I understood more of the references. I need to watch more of these animes
