For HIgh Infidelity, many people say its about an older relationship she had (presumably the one with Calvin Harris), the theme of Midnights is about things that keep her awake at night, and the story of High Infidelity is one of them

please listen to you’re losing me. it’s special cd’s she’s selling at the shows but it’s online somewhere. it’s one of the saddest songs she’s written by far & it explains her now previous relationship & how it went down completely. i promise you’ll love it
Bestieeee, she released another song, “You’re Losing Me” for Midnights, it’s still CD exclusive, but you should probably take a look, if you liked Labyrinth and Bigger Than The Whole Sky, I’m pretty sure you’re gonna love this one!!!
Bigger than the whole sky is just pure, raw sadness and such a gorgeous song. The line "Did some force take you because I didn't pray?" hits especially hard for me, just the guilt and self blaming and the desperate trying to find an explanation for what happened breaks my heart. I love this song, it's one of my favorites of the whole album, but I honestly don't listen to it very often because it's just not the kind of song I can listen to casually. I'm so glad to finally see a reactor really appreciate it!
I like how honest she is. She isn’t just saying she loves everything, plus she just listens to the lyrics without reading about who it’s about or analyzing the headlines about it.
That's what i like about AJ. Sometimes Taylor seems to put a song with a hole news and tea as a context. So i'm glad someone that just care about music give an opinion about it. Is more objective.
The second half of this album really does feel deeper and makes sense with it being 3AM and Til Dawn tracks, depression gets worse before it gets better
Bigger than the whole sky makes me cry every single time. It reminds me of the loss of my twin pregnancy and how difficult and lonely I felt. It made me question everything. The line "Did a force take you away because I didnt pray enough?" Killed me. As someone who isnt religious, I got on my knees and pray that I wouldnt lose my babies. Unfortunately I did, alone. Everytime this song comes on it just takes me back to that time. 👶👶 💕
I'm so sorry for your loss. That song also hits home for me and reminds me of my ex who passed away and I miss him constantly. This song and Forever Winter remind me of him and I cry everytime. She's a beautiful lyricist and I'm glad she can help us heal our grief in some way through her music and words 🙏🏻💖
I LOVE midnights I do think the 3am edition really made it into a great great album. The standard is so good but I personally love songs like BTTWS and WCS and Paris and high infidelity. Also so glad she finally released Hits Different because originally it was a target exclusive
When You Said "LANA DEL REY To Me Is Magic", I Instantly Got Teary Eyed & Emotional Because She Is... She Brought Me Through Quite A Few Years Of Trauma & Emotional Damage & I Will FOREVER Love Her For It.
Hits Different is made for highway drives on sunny summer days, windows down, top volume. Paris is made for hopeless romantic daydreamer types (it's me, hi). I love the 3am tracks so much overall.
@@max_9t because Ice spices verses ruined the song. Whoever produced her verse did a really bad job. It feels like someone pasted her verse onto the OG track without editing. Ice spice’s verse doesn’t match the karma beat, her voice is slower and really quiet. This remix is super rushed for no reason😭😭
I really like Ajay's reaction videos because she experiences music so much different than I do. For her the songs are puzzles of what the singer went to / wants to tell us with the songs. Love it
Paris is such a good song, I feel like if you get it you get it, because it's about getting over being obsessed with an ex and what they're doing in life; in the first verses she's basically manifesting being in love and in Paris and by the end it becomes the real thing! It's a song that gives me hope personally because I know how much it sucks to feel lonely and stalk your ex lol
i think she was more prepared. listening to midnight after so many months of not listening to new tracks from taylor can be a crazy experience, even more with a high quality album like midnights, that is SO different from all her other projects at the same time it goes back to a lot of her musicality and life. but since she had a time to assimilate midnights before the 3am version. and it's arguably more chill than the regular version.
For context: taylor said the 3am tracks are more of the creative journey and process on her way to creating the concept album that the 13 standard tracks of Midnights is! So that’s why songs like Paris don’t really fit on the album, tayqueen was just trying to figure out what the sound of the album was and wanted to share the journey with us! My fav song is the Great War I think it’ll grow on you !!
when the album first came out i didn’t really like the base album and loooved the 3am songs but as i listened to the lyrics more i grew to love the entire album.
I was so happy when she dropped the 3AM version because its more similar to her last 2 records ( Folklore + Evermore) which İ personally love more than the previous two (Reputation +Lover). Now the record sounds like an amalgamation of her last 4 albums which is really cool
Yes. The first time I listened to Midnights I felt like it was an amalgamation of her previous records especially since 1989 until Evermore. That made me not like it at all at my first initial listening but this album has grown on me. Now I like it very much but I dont think its her best.
@@nicholasbert4475 yep. Thats why I didnt like at first. In fact, i didnt get the hype bout it. It was disturbing cause it was nothing new or innovative. Folklore is so much better and for me its her best ever. Anyways, Midnights grew on me and I like it now. But thats it.
Love this!! A bit of context to High Infidelity; She was at this Gala while she was in a relationship with Calvin Harris at the time. He did not spend any time with her, hence the lyric "your picket fence is sharp as knives" because she couldn't get close. At the gala she danced with Tom Hiddleton and had a great time (no kiss shared as far as we know). She was just in a bad place and Tom brought her back to life! She did not step out (as far as everything goes haha)
i thought i was the only one who noticed that 😭 i can't blame her bc i had the exact same reaction on Renaissance, i went from barely liking a couple songs to complete obsession.
i'm glad that you've liked dear reader, it's so underappreciated but it's literally one of the best I've ever heard! both lyrically and sonically!!! such a great video
as a 19 year old Taylor releasing would've could've should've singing "at 19" and relating to it is..... wow its healing and wow lots of emotion, she's just amazing
i have always loved the lyrics "salt streams out my eyes and into my ears". I at first thought she was laying down too but now I feel like the imagery she is trying to describe is someone who is looking up and like screaming at the sky cuz of the song title and also because like you look at the sky to scream at god when you are angry kinda thing
Dear Reader is elite and was a perfect way to end the original 3 am tracks, especially knowing more about the potential emotional background of the album. The Great War is just straight up poetry and Bigger Than the Whole Sky is devastating but beautiful. Re High Infidelity’s “April 29th” line, I believe a certain interview that Calvin Harris did for the release of “This is What You Came For” was on April 29th. Calvin said he wouldn’t work with then gf TS, as he promoted what would become one of his most successful songs, which it later turned out was penned under a pen name by … wait for it … Taylor Swift. She reportedly also may have met Joe Alwyn the night of April 29. Regardless, Calvin’s trifling comments about his soon to be ex gf made her dancing at the Met Gala with Tom Hiddleston and the summer of Hiddleswift even more hilarious in retrospect. The Lana and Ice Spice remixes are great, and it’s well worth checking out the Karma MV. And I love Paris and Hits Different - both certified bops. But Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve will always be my fave off the 3 am tracks (are we counting You’re Losing Me as a 3 am from the vault?) Taylor wrote WCS with Aaron Dessner after performing at the Grammys, which also featured a performance from her ex John Mayor, who dated Swift when she was 19 and he was 32 - the same age Swift was when she wrote WCS 13 years later. The math was def mathing there. The “give me back my girlhood, it was mine first” line makes clear this is an ode to emotional trauma. It also makes me wonder what from the vault songs will be on Speak Now (TV) - is there a 10 minute version of Dear John?
The Great War: 1:11 Bigger Than The Whole Sky: 3:40 Paris: 7:03 High Infidelity: 9:10 Glitch: 13:14 Would've Could've Should've: 15:22 Dear Reader: 18:30 Hits Different: 20:36 Snow on the Beach (feat. More Lana Del Rey): 22:06 Karma (feat. Ice Spice): 24:01
The thing about some songs sound different that the album is because the main concept, as Taylor mentioned is that Midnights is about different sleepless nights throughout her life, so it's awesome is some way how you can relate the sounds, the music and concepts of some songs to albums from the past eras. So imo regarding Paris, that one is sooo 1989 in terms of lyrics and melody.
Taylor is releasing this album piece by piece. We've been waiting for months for Hits different , but now we're going to wait for You're losing me 😂 Taylor wants to drive us crazy.
I think the reason she released You're losing me the way she did is because she's not ready for it to be streamed everywhere because the breakup is so recent. Then she'd have to watch it trend and I don't thinks she's ready for that no matter how much she says she's happy in all aspects of her life.
@@anncampuzano13 I come to find out Argentina uses All Access, a different ticketing site than the ones dragged thru the mud from before... praying for the Argentinian Swifties. 💀
there’s another song called you’re losing me that’s also part of the til dawn edition. it’s just not out on streaming yet. but that is a beautifully heartbreaking track. would love to see your reaction to that!
Btw, in High Infidelity, Taylor didn’t cheat on Joe (the guy she sings about in reputation-midnights) Joe is the guy who ‘brought her back to life’ he was the person who she cheated with / getaway car is also part of the story
I thought it's about emotional cheating more than anything, because at the lowest point someone else was bringing her back to life (emotionally), so she was emotionally starting to "cheat" and develop feelings for someone else while being in a relationship
I cried the first time I heard Bigger than the whole sky. My fave form the entire album is Snow won the beach and The Great War. And glitch is also a fave of mine. I just love the second verse when she uses synthesizer on her voice in glitch.

For HIgh Infidelity, many people say its about an older relationship she had (presumably the one with Calvin Harris), the theme of Midnights is about things that keep her awake at night, and the story of High Infidelity is one of them
mother you have to give “you’re losing me” a listen. an exclusive song on a physical midnights edition but you can find it on youtube. it’s heartbreaking
ikr
The Great War is one of my top 3. this song grew on me and now it is currently my overplayed song
me too! the first time i heard it i didn't really care for it but now i love it so much
I absolutely adore this song

The Great War is one of my favourites in Midnights, amazing song!
!!!!!!
bigger than the whole sky is a criminally underrated song, happy to see it getting some love
I'm glad too, i know Taylor wrote that song for me but yall can rock with it too 😅😅😅
the fact that you also saw a connection between would’ve could’ve should’ve and 29… as someone who went through an inappropriate relationship with an adult as a young teen, both of those songs coming out at the back to back caused whiplash 😭💔♥️ she probably hasn’t healed. you don’t really heal from it. it shapes your adult psyche. but you can learn to live with it and nurture and validate the inner child that was hurt
she needs to upload HOLY FVCK to youtube i cant pay for patreon lmao 🙏

No goddamn mark on The Great War? Omg That's the best song on 3AM Edition
a mark on glitch omg???
@@peogu its great
please listen to you’re losing me. it’s special cd’s she’s selling at the shows but it’s online somewhere. it’s one of the saddest songs she’s written by far & it explains her now previous relationship & how it went down completely. i promise you’ll love it
Glitch is actually one of my favs on the album, so glad she liked it I was so scared because it’s so different 😅
Paris might not be for everyone but it is for ME! It's my most played song on the album ❤
It radiates positive energy
I like the pun😂
Yes! I have a playlist called "Happy Taylor" and Paris is there, same for Me!, Shake it off, Stay Stay stay, Our song, picture to burn, karma.
Same lol, it might not be top but i enjoyed it
Paris is for us Lover girlies
OH MY GOD EXACTLY
I love that she doesn’t google anything
That's what i like about AJ. Sometimes Taylor seems to put a song with a hole news and tea as a context. So i'm glad someone that just care about music give an opinion about it. Is more objective.
i love she always been like this, i just love her
The second half of this album really does feel deeper and makes sense with it being 3AM and Til Dawn tracks, depression gets worse before it gets better
The way she give Glitch the mark😭😭😭 I said a millions times and i will said it again Glitch is the most underrated 3AM track!!!
GLITCH IS SO UNDERRATED PERIOTTT
IT IS
purrr the production is chef kiss
I'm so sorry you lost your babies. And alone makes it even worse 💔
Sending love ❤
I LOVE midnights I do think the 3am edition really made it into a great great album. The standard is so good but I personally love songs like BTTWS and WCS and Paris and high infidelity. Also so glad she finally released Hits Different because originally it was a target exclusive
"Sometimes you take the wrong turn to the right destination" 15:15 I love this 🥺
When You Said "LANA DEL REY To Me Is Magic", I Instantly Got Teary Eyed & Emotional Because She Is... She Brought Me Through Quite A Few Years Of Trauma & Emotional Damage & I Will FOREVER Love Her For It.
I am so waiting for Ocean Boulevard. You will LOVE that album
Me tooooo
OMG!!! Me tooooooooo.
literally dying just for this ive been waiting for months
Waiting patiently
It's more than a week why haven't she posted yet
the great war not only the best song on the 3 am edition but also at least stands on top 3 in the whole album period
What are the other two
Agree! My other two are Maroon and YOYOK (which didn’t get a mark) 😢
Yes!!!!
the great war is genuinely my favorite song from all of Midnights
It's a crime it's not included in the first part.
UGH I KNOW RIGHT
Mine as well but I think it’s because it gives me folklore and evermore teas which are my favorite albums of Taylor
Hits Different is made for highway drives on sunny summer days, windows down, top volume. Paris is made for hopeless romantic daydreamer types (it's me, hi). I love the 3am tracks so much overall.
GLITCH is greatly underrated ❤ And I’m glad queen AJ appreciated it so much! Def one of my 3AM faves

WHY THAT FOR KARMA
Paris is probably my most played song from Midnights
i think she didn't like it mostly because of how abrupt the verses are and the transition to the chorus
Agreed.
Bigger Than the Whole Sky is my favorite song from this album. Its so wild she just casually put that song as a bonus song
wow. i don’t know how i skipped over bigger than the whole sky. my sister passed away when she was two years old. a very relatable and beautiful song.
rip
this reaction video is so chill 😭 no screams, no laughing, nothing dhskdshsdh
i think she was more prepared. listening to midnight after so many months of not listening to new tracks from taylor can be a crazy experience, even more with a high quality album like midnights, that is SO different from all her other projects at the same time it goes back to a lot of her musicality and life. but since she had a time to assimilate midnights before the 3am version. and it's arguably more chill than the regular version.
yeah, she def seems a bit more tired this video compared to the high energy of last week.
She's already used up all her screams for the first 13 tracks🤣🤣
I mean 3:00 am
I read this as she yelled bitch you better describe LMAO
For context: taylor said the 3am tracks are more of the creative journey and process on her way to creating the concept album that the 13 standard tracks of Midnights is! So that’s why songs like Paris don’t really fit on the album, tayqueen was just trying to figure out what the sound of the album was and wanted to share the journey with us! My fav song is the Great War I think it’ll grow on you !!
ngl Paris fits on the standard version of the album.
when the album first came out i didn’t really like the base album and loooved the 3am songs but as i listened to the lyrics more i grew to love the entire album.
Interesting you say that because I love folklore, lover and reputation and evermore they are my top 4 albums and midnights is one of my least favs
i felt the same the first time i heard midnight, i felt like any song could fit in her previous albums since 1989
@@nicholasbert4475 yep. Thats why I didnt like at first. In fact, i didnt get the hype bout it. It was disturbing cause it was nothing new or innovative. Folklore is so much better and for me its her best ever. Anyways, Midnights grew on me and I like it now. But thats it.
@@jair8804 yeah i love midnights, probably every song and i don't have skips. but yes is nothing new or surprising, it just has good songs
bigger than the whole sky is such a soft an vulnerable song, I absolutely love it
I love how Ajay said she didn’t like RENAISSANCE but in this video (and the last one) she casually sings a song from that album 😅 (12:52)
It probably grew on her
i thought i was the only one who noticed that 😭 i can't blame her bc i had the exact same reaction on Renaissance, i went from barely liking a couple songs to complete obsession.
Hahahahahahaa thought I was the only one who noticed that, must’ve been growing on her like it did on the most of us
I commented on her reaction video of that. She just need it to grow on her because when it click, it's soo good.
She was singing plastic off the sofa which is the only song she put a mark to on the album 😅
"Everything comes to an end, eventually nothing lasts forever."💔
Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve, in my opinion, is the best song she’s ever made. I love all of it though so it’s hard to pick too many favorites!
i'm glad that you've liked dear reader, it's so underappreciated but it's literally one of the best I've ever heard! both lyrically and sonically!!! such a great video
Out of all the 3am tracks. For me, Dear Reader is the one
@@kawaki1207 same for me
real!!! dear reader is in my top 10 of her entire discography 🫠
Yes! Dear Reader, Glitch, and Labyrinth are the most vibe-y songs for me👌
no like i get so sad when people rank it last on the album. it's my #1 😭
I'm glad she liked high infidelity it's one of my favorite but I wish she showed the 'give me back my girlhood' line
she literally just has the best energy and vibe. like i loved how she teared up at antihero just because of how good it was.
Tbh i love all the songs on this album and every song deserves a goddamn mark
Facts
except for karma remix
Bigger than the whole sky is my favourite song of the album. Such a sad track that hits deep
She went from "i just wanna stay in that lavender haze" to "somewhere in the haze got a sense ive been betrayed"
as a 19 year old Taylor releasing would've could've should've singing "at 19" and relating to it is..... wow its healing and wow lots of emotion, she's just amazing
i have always loved the lyrics "salt streams out my eyes and into my ears". I at first thought she was laying down too but now I feel like the imagery she is trying to describe is someone who is looking up and like screaming at the sky cuz of the song title and also because like you look at the sky to scream at god when you are angry kinda thing
Ajay your videos help me get through the day. Your reactions, opinions and energy just make me happy
Agreed, she really is like a piece of sunlight :,) hugs to you
Dear Reader is a masterpiece ,deserves more praise
She's so honest in a way that she'll tell you what is bad in a good way possible
I'M SOOO HAPPY SHE'S ENJOYED THIS ALBUMMM JUST LIKE I DIDDDD❤
GIVE US THE "GIVE ME BACK MY GIRLHOOD IT WAS MINE FIRST" PARTTTTTTTT😭😭😭
omfg not her cutting that part off 😭
She didn’t react to it at all so you’re not missing anything
She doesn’t give a fuck about it sorry boo boo not impressive next
DEAR READER IS SO UNDERRATED! THANK U FOR GIVING IT SO MUCH LOVE ITS MY TOP FROM MIDNIGHTS 😭
I knew you were gonna love bigger than the whole sky. Literally my favorite song ever from her
Watching you listen makes me feel like I’m hearing the songs again for the 1st time I love itttt I also cry when I hear her songs 🥺🥺

And “all the girls”
I think the reason she released You're losing me the way she did is because she's not ready for it to be streamed everywhere because the breakup is so recent. Then she'd have to watch it trend and I don't thinks she's ready for that no matter how much she says she's happy in all aspects of her life.

i hope "you're losing me" is gonna be reacted to in the future!!
In five years when Taylor puts on streaming
@@katbatson i think in 2 years lol
It was so ratty of her to put that only in a singular CD version, sold in ONE venue, like.... What's up with that, blondie?
I can't believe she cropped her reaction to the line, *"give me back my girlhood it was mine first"*
Gurl listen to you're losing me, the remaining midnights track that provides so much context to the breakup. Love your reactions as always!
“it turns into something bigger, somewhere in the haze, got the send of being betrayed” made the song for me tbh
my exact EXACT reaction to bigger than the whole sky. hearing the first note to the song my tears start
I love how she appreciates the beauty of the " Dear Reader "🥺
I just got done with one of the heaviest counselling sessions I’ve had in years, you always upload at the best times 💘
No I think it's about Calvin tho, because she briefly dated Tom Hiddleston after him, and Getaway car also seems to be about Calvin and Tom.
Def give "Your losing me" a listen its def the best midnights track very underrated
Thank you for doing the deluxe tracks!
Can’t wait for Lana’s Ocean Blvd reaction! 🌊💙🌊
she’s gonna need a lot of Kleenex for that
Prediction: she’s not gonna like it that much and might find it boring. I love that album tho.
I cried the first time I heard Bigger than the whole sky. My fave form the entire album is Snow won the beach and The Great War. And glitch is also a fave of mine. I just love the second verse when she uses synthesizer on her voice in glitch.
