Great player for Leeds. As a Leeds fan, the two most gifted players i've seen in my lifetime are Harry Kewell and Raphinha (now at Barcelona). Technically, athletically and mentally world class both were genuine world class. Was my favourite player growing up and had him on the back of my shirt. Thanks for the great memories Harry. Got genuine joy watching you play. PS. I understand the feelings of other fans re: Galatasaray but I separate the two things... one was a dreadful event - one was a player going to earn money for his family.
I am so so so sorry for Kev and Chris. There is no words that i can describe the pain of their families.. As a huge fan of galatasaray, football is just not important compairing people’s lives.. I wish these things were never happened and Leeds played the Uefa Cup.. I would trade all Galatasaray trophies for Kev and Chris lives 🙏🙏🙏
@@demetradze23 what a lovely message. Thank you very much. This means a lot. It’s been a painful 20 years for Leeds fans. Nobody should lose their father or son over a football match… god bless.
I don't think people realise how strong the Australian team is or has been historically, but the fact that Harry Kewell was dropped is a testament to this. Not enough people also clearly remember the day Harry Kewell outshone Beckham etc. and Australia beat England 3-1 in London. I was convinced leading into that game that Australia would win and that would have been the result if it were replayed shortly afterwards. Many of the professional players knew to be wary of Australia back then but it was unfortunate that most of the pundits and lay people didn't have the same level of respect and understanding. Australia had a lot of players with the X-factor and some of them were based in Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy etc. but they were all good enough for the EPL. We were actually very close to winning the World Cup, if it weren't for an Italian dive in the box when they were on the ropes with only 10 men.
As a Leeds fan, the three most gifted players I've seen in my lifetime are - Eddie Gray, Harry Kewell, and Raphinha (now at Barcelona). Whatever he says here - his best period (Harry Kewell) for me was when he was at Leeds United. He was our John Barnes. but we also had Mark Vaduka, Robbie Keane, Michael Bridges, McAllister, Tony Dorigo, Alan Smith, and Rio Ferndinardo =. BUT THAT LEEDS UNITED SIDE FROM 1999 TO 2021 - was one of ever the best sides - that we have ever produced in English Football,. I really believe this. I still think that David O'Leary's side was something else and we should have WON THE LEAGUE TITLE IN THE YEARS OF 1999 to 2021. I LOVE THIS INTERVIEW - ITS SUCH A GOOD INTERVIEW
As much as I love these interviews and insights, part of me feels that they should happen when they are not at the club so we don't give any secrets away.
I'm a big fan of the Big Interview and love the selection of interviewees. Big big fan of Kewell's too and was so glad to have him here but this one got a bit tooooo technical. You have to be working on your coaching badges to fully enjoy it! Would have rather listened more to stuff about the Liverpool transfer and life there, the Galatasaray saga and Australia at the WC
Big Celtic fan but still remember that swagger in a white or yellow top making top Epl defenders feel surplas too requirements, loved that "dirty" (no more than any other) Leeds team.
Perfect fit for Celtic and Harry at this point in his coaching career. He must be loving it, coaching under Ange. Win Win for everyone. C’mon the hoops. HH.
@@danielfleming5449 He signed for Gala Daniel. I found out yesterday he was also the face advertising some top of the range Turkish knives. He disgusts me mate.
I reckon Harry genuinely thought Graham was taking the p**s with the introduction at the start! Premier league icon, great player and happy to have him at Celtic 🍀
Just cause he is Australian doesn't mean he will be any good . God knows we're we go when ange time is up here . But Harry kewell isn't the answer when got no exprience in managing
Harry didn't hear YNWA at Anfield, but he certainly heard it at Celtic Park. I don't blame him, the acapella version at Celtic Park is absolutely incredible ❤
Here's to all the Leeds fans still going on about Harry signing for Galatasaray - GET OVER IT. You were one club on his journey, like any footballer, you could have signed him again. Instead he chose to close out his career in a good league and set up his family for later life. He never meant any disrespect.
@@Sn.MehmetKarahanli I went and saw him at the old Ali Sami Yen in 2008 my friend. You could tell he was loving his football at Gala. He scored in a home win v Konyaspor. The fans loved him.
World class player for Leeds back in the day, My favourite player during the 1998-2002 years.
I love him so much❤🙏🏻
I love listening to footballers talking about the game. Even better, when they're intelligent and are employed by Celtic.
What a guy. No better player for Celtic wingers to listen too. Harry is a class act and was a class player

Not just the Galatasaray thing. He held leeds up for 2 million, when the club could have went under.
He didnt go to Galatasaray to disrespect the leeds fans, just a misconception
Never forget, Never forgive! R.I.P Chris and Kevin 💛💙

Or Kewell!

To be fair to the lad, Harry Kewell was special at Leeds United.
Great insight into Harry's philosophy in terms of football . Australian football royalty for sure.
I feel that Harry has really made a difference to our attacking players, especially Maeda
Jota and Abada have also improved this season.
Harry Kewell and Mark Viduka 2 of the best Aussie footballers. 🇦🇺🇦🇺
Harry Harry Kewell ❤️💛
Not often I'll listen to an entire interview but I enjoyed that.
Very interesting listening to Harry really impressed with what he had to say 🍀hail hail from Dublin
Great interview. What a player.

With Hunter the questions are longer than the answers !
He does like the sound of his own voice.
Great insight! Thank you Harry

You know what you did Kewell. Never come back to Leeds please! R.I.P Christopher & Kevin.
what did he do ?
He signed for a club that wanted him. Leeds could have signed him back too....

Standing still as a player, wait for the space to present itself, amen I’ve been preaching that shit for years
Great watch. Really interesting. I think Harry is a great fit for Celtic 👌🍀

Hahaha I thought he was anol.
I have a hunch he’s being groomed for the managers job at Celtic and will take over in next 2-3 years

Agree but haircut first.
Hopefully Ange has an input into the new manager when the day finally comes. That would put me more at ease
I could be wrong, hopefully Ange not going anywhere soon but I did find an odd appointment given the number of coaching staff he already had
I’ve heard a few people I sit beside at parkhead say the same thing mate
Harry never proved his self in big games as he was always injured

Harry "General Tojo" Kewell
What's with the hand/ finger gestures 😂😂 holding a wee gun
Harry could box the ears off a corner flag better than Ali !

Graham do you shave your head asking for a friend 🍀
