1998 was a terrific series, but I reckon Sandie Shaw should have won this one. She sounded great and the wardrobe got it spot on. Sometimes I wish that style would make a return - sod all the sports gear, fake rap and twerking!
This happens all the time with small studio audiences. I feel when it comes out to a million people voting the winners tend to be somewhat more fair and justified.

The girl who did Sandie Shaw was absolutely amazing. Sounded identical to Sandie Shaw and should have won it. Great outfit and bare feet.
Maybe because R. Kelly's song was quite a recent one at the time it was easier for the audience to compare it in their minds
