I hate to break it to you kid but we saw what Rhaenyra breaking Criston Cole's heart did to him. We saw the aftermath. He punched a guy to death and tried to take his own life. Alicent stopped him and he began serving her. You need to actually pay attention and stop eating crayons.

@@anthonywarren9885 people don’t turn into psychopaths because a girl broke their heart. Criston is a monster who lashes out with extreme violence when he doesn’t get his way.

Great video, HotD has been a huge success in adaptation so far. Such an interesting piece of media that I think will be looked at for many years to come.

And if you read the story Cristin had red flags from the beginning. Cristin commits hella war crimes when the dance begins so I think he always had a dark side hidden.

Criston doesn't commit any war crimes, at least from my memory. What war crimes did he commit?

    • @svg3876

@@AaronGuest He destroyed and sacked both Rooks Rest and Duskendale. Whenever you sack a city and kill and steal from innocents women and children it is a warm crime. Just like Tywin committed a war crime by sacking kings landing for no reason. He taught he’s prodigy Aemond how to commit war crimes. See Cristin would’ve been proud to see Aemond burning villagers and castles with innocents inside. I don’t expect to convince you about Cristin. But I think we can both agree that what Aemond did in the riverlands was an abomination.

@@svg3876 Sacking cities wasn't a war crime, or at least when you were at war, and especially not when they were in rebellion which Rook's Rest and Duskendale were, but it should also be mentioned that Criston was under orders from Aegon. Tywin sacking King's Landing was different because he pretended that he was their ally before. What???? He tought Aemond how to fight, notcommit war crimes, also that was just medieval warfare just with dragons, it was one of England's most used tactics in the hundred war. I'm not advocating for either of them, but what they did was common, and for the time period it wasn't a war crime, however I will say that they were both strategically the right decisions.

@@AaronGuest I just see it differently Ik what was the norm back then. I could’ve never sent my men to do that. And yea maybe my honor would get me killed like Ned Stark but oh well. And plus urban combat sucks. Sieges suck. I would always try to draw my enemy out in the field. And I decant remember who ordered it the sack. But it doesn’t matter. If Aegon didn’t order it then Aemond would have. And that was a horrible analogy I have about it Aemonds war crimes. I don’t believe Cristin taught him that stuff. But I believe Aemond watching Cristin do what he did influenced him and made him think it was ok. I seriously doubt Cristin acutely enjoyed in sacking the cities but Ik Aemond did. When he’s flying around the river lands they talk about what is going on in his head and he basically get the biggest thrill out of burning people alive. But to be fair he might’ve also been possessed by a witch so that could have something to do with his crimes there. He really should’ve been a more capable commander. Had he not gone with Alys. You can resist her. Daemon did. She tried to seduce him and he basically gave her one look that frightened her and she never tried anything again.
