- With Persona 3 Reload only a week away, like most Triple A games, P3R has a few different editions. In this video, I explain the differences between purchasing the base game, Digital Deluxe, Digital Premium, The Asian Exclusive Premium Limited Box & Aigis Special Edition.

I Preordered the Aigis Edition and I’m So Hyped for it
I pre ordered the Aigis edition because i don't get enough chances of having a figure
Still feel we are getting more costumes, this has fewer costumes than Golden and Royal's DLC as well the Dance games
In Australia, our retailers (EB Games) made an announcement on Twitter on a random Monday, and it sold out completely in 15 minutes. Other retailers had very limited stock also.
There hasn't been a rerun of the preorder at all, so I didn't get a choice 😅 I swear we only got allocated 250 units for the whole continent.
Something to note… the only character in Royal to not get a costume is Sumi. Even Akechi got both his. And it just so happens that there’s an alternate version of the MC in Portable whose female who uses a different weapon and has completely different SL’s. Likewise… Atlus’s wording with this game is implying more DLC might come eventually. I’m more interested in finding out if this means merely FeMC or more… and considering some of the rewrites with Kenji coming out so far, that makes me hopeful for an Episode Aigis/The Answer DLC that’s actually got some better writing to back it up.
Though all this could be coincidence for nothing. This is Atlus we’re talking about, the same people who released Sumi Costumes, the most broken Persona, and challenge fights including previous protags as an extra $60 on an already $60 game. Before just including that in the rereleases of the game, which were also the only way to play the game at 4k 60. They could easily just release an enhanced version with more DLC, or charge the exorbitant amount for the actual FeMC Route alone of $70 as DLC with costumes for another $5 each. Truth is, we simply don’t know… even leaks have left us in the dark.
@rezahydra That's a good point about no Sumi Representation. I can't imagine Shinjiro rocking the Leotards, but FEMC would be the best candidate for the outfit.
I know ATLUS/SEGA have stated that DLC is part of their business strategy going forward. So we might get an Answer + FEMC Route in about a year's time. Could be a good spacer after Metaphor and before P6.
@@DewyHQ Exactly my thoughts. A skeleton team is currently rumored to be working on the P6 outline as noted by the very barebones inclusion of P6 stuff deep in Royal’s code, less than P5’s with 4AU funnily. Why not do something similar with DLC for P3R?

over here in the Netherlands the Aigis edition was available for months after pre-orders started and they only sold out somewhere in December i think
I wish there were physical releases for pc, there's no feeling like the track home with game's box in your hands, also you get a pretty cool box art and physical display of your ownership of the game

Got me the Aigis edition.
I believe it's worth it. I'm a physical game type of player, also love collecting things, the art book and CDs will be amazing. Not to mention the awesome Aigis figure!

I would add that the OST on PC is probably a separate app just like on consoles. Persona 5 Strikers had a bonus OST on Steam too and that was a separate music app on Unity.

I preordered the digital premium edition with all the DLCs in Steam. It's a fair deal in my country's currency.

I know a lot of people (probably) bought the Japanese CE with that SEES Sleeve, but I'm a sucker for collectible video game figurines. Especially JRPG figurines.
Amazon has the Aigis edition in stock, and the aigis figure alone is worth the $200; I found lesser quality aigis figures/statues selling for more. So, if like me, you like to collect statues this edition is well worth the money. However the soundtrack can always be downloaded (whether itunes or pirated online if they dont release it officially digitally) and the artbooks for these games usually resell on ebay for 50-100. So the question is, do you value the statue and artbook, do you want to sell them for profit and keep the game, or do you just want the base game with no hassle. NGL Ill prob look into buying the armband from a reseller at some point and put it on display next to my phantom theives mask from p5r.
I plan to purchase the digital premium deluxe. The Personas alone makes this worthwhile in my opinion. I do wonder if the ultimate Personas will be beefed up powerhouses as they were in Persona 5 Royal. They made the early hours of the game a breeze!
So basically if I want the actual in game gameplay stuff I should just buy the standard price and the dlc pack for the skins and persona of the old and latest entry?
I'd buy the premium edition but the chances of me using dlc personas is super low, never touched them in p5r. And I'm sure there will be mods to add them in later

I got the Aigis version and i think that it's pretty expensive but i'm happy for i also got the Persona 5 collector's edition.
I think that the premium limited edition looks amazing.
Hope that the box isn't broken because my Persona 5 collector's edition box was broken when i got it.

I really wanted the Aigis edition but nothing except Aigis herself interested me in the edition lol. I already have a super neat Aigis Figma so I decided to skip out on this.
Beides, most if not all of Atlus’s CE seem to initially sell out and then get heavily replenished at steep discounts. I can still purchase SMT V CE at retail, often even below it.
Managed to get the aegis edition for retail and for some reason i have preorded the asia edtion too..

Day one DLC is frustrating. If it's available now, it should be part of the base game. Xenoblade, in my opinion, has the best stance on DLC. Adding full mini games about 5-6 months after release.
Persona 3 is one of my favorite games of all time. With that said, my desire to play P3: Reload is unmeasurable. With that said, while I do want to play day 1, I don't want to pay full price right away. Is it possoble to play it, (or any game available) on Gamepass and purchase the dlc separately to use in the game? I'm thinking of playing via gamepass and maybe get a costume pack or two, and then buy it for myself once there's a price drop, even though I'm only buying a license to play it...

Yes, you can buy DLC for gamepass games. You own the DLC, not the game. Should you lose access to the game, you naturally can't use the DLC until the game is repurchased.

Only the base game is available for pre order in Norway so its the only one i can get
damn plenty of people going for the Aigis edition, it's a bit out of my price range and in that sense I wish they gave physical releases the usual bonus stuff for +10-15€ on the price tage instead of "base game > ultra deluxe edition that will go out in seconds" Oh well the bonus P4 ost will be nice I guess
I believe it worth a standard price since they are remaking a PS2 game in this scale and also the studio is upgrading their engine.
All other edition is for fans and I don't comment on it.
Ultimately i think the better version is standard version physical/digital.
Does anyone know if the DLC packs just Give you the Persona? Or do I have to unlock them normally? I don't want the game too easy
It's like P5. One free summon. I just use DLC personas when I can fuse them.

Think I’m just gonna go with the standard PC edition and then buy whatever dlcs I want after.
I was gonna get the Aegis edition, but my PS5 only comes out for PlayStation exclusives and I’m definitely not buying a digital and physical copy of this game.

I believe if you purchase it digitally on the Playstation store it will give you both.

Ps5 is backward la compatible and I doubt there is much difference

Bit unfortunate they didn't include a steelbook, otherwise it would have been an easy buy for me. They had steelbooks for every edition of Persona 5 from the base to Royal, so why not include it here? On the bright side, I saw a different figure of her, which was a 1/6 scale that looks absolutely stunning. Glad I didn't pre-order this and instantly PO'd that one instead lol.

200 euros is too much for an action figure plus I don't have space anymore.... then I love persona 3, it's my fav persona and I was tempted I have to say but then I got the MuvLuv odyssey box instead that is definitely MORE worth it and it's gonna become more rare.

Easy choice Persona 3 Reload on game pass will last a year, so i just bought the DLC bundle which is also discounted on game pass :D Should i want it when it goes off gamepass, it'll be discounted :D

Always the base version as the digital deluxe is just an artbook and ost which you can always find for free on google and the premium edition is just the dlc personas which you dont need

i hate game pass because sure you get lots of games but if you spend hours on like persona 5 royal then they just take it away. then you still have to buy it on steam where you may not even get your save file
Windows store carries Xbox saves and vice versa. I can't comment whether Windows stores saves and steam saves are interchangeable.
It's bad enough to charge $70 for the gen but the same price for the ps4 too is plain ridiculous
It's not worth buying the Aegis edition because it's expensive just for the figure and it doesn't even include a steelbox. I’ll get standard version like Persona 5 Royal with steelbox.

I just bought standard edition. I never cared for other persona songs in different titles they just feel out of place personally for me.
The ultimate choice is to get the Japanese Limited edition and English standard.
Aigis edition is severly overpriced and comes with a pretty cheap looking statue, whilst for essentially the same price you can order the Japanese edition which is exactly the same expect replaces the statue with a much cooler replica SEES armband, and you'll still have enough left to get the English standard edition so you can still play the game in a language you understand.
With game pass you get the game one day early
I was very disappointed when I discovered the Aigis edition would only be available for the PS5 and XBOX Series X. Needless to say, I bought a PS5 specifically for this game and then ordered the Aigis Edition. Sure, I could have just purchased the Aigis edition, sold the game, kept the collectibles, and then bought the digital deluxe edition for PC, rather than getting a PS5, but........ dammit, I could have done that

Ffs, there shouldnt need to be a 5-6 minute video explaining all the different editions of a remake of a game that came out on ps2. Just make a game and sell the god damn game. Needless to say im going for the standard edition

I didnt see people complaining about the resident evil remakes but they are just as old games ad persona 3 yet the remakes are banger.
Those who havent played old persona 3 are just getting a new persona game and its super hype cus its gonna be persona 5 quality game.
@@fseiba6718The RE games were completely overhauled, RE2 and RE3 are basically completely new games. Persona 3 is still the same game fundamentally, just better visuals, most of us already played it twice if you count og and Fes, or even thrice with P3P. I just expected better from Atlus but they were too lazy to even add new content or fem MC.
This game looks as overhauled as res 2 they're are not refusing the same assets at all. New episodes, new soundtrack, new animation, new designs, tartaraus is completely different a lot of p5 elements added in. This game is completely overhauled .
