Weirdly enough this game kind of reminded me of Skylanders. The combat and the humour is all very reminiscent of those games. (obviously without the toys to life aspect)
I absolutely love listening to these whilst doing schoolwork and playing some VR, great background sound to listen and laugh with! I don’t have a PlayStation so I have not played this game but I have heard it’s great!! And I enjoy listening to your opinions on it. I do remember watching Joe’s gameplay of it and thought the game looked awesome!

The reason these recent Ratchet games don't get as much hype as other Sony franchises is because while the Ratchet & Clank fanbase is huge and these games sell millions(now 10s of millions), Insomniac Games doesn't listen to feedback /criticism as much as they should so fans who don't like the new direction the series is currently headed in aren't as excited for newer entries as they once were. Go to any R&C fan forum or subreddits and 50% of the discussions are still about the ps2 games despite the franchise being 20 years old and being present on every playstation platform. Edit: I recommend watching Gamingbrit's video essay. These games used get 10/10 critical acclaim back in the day.
This game will be like a future nostalgia sorta game, at least like the gen Alphas will be like this was our Rachet and Clank game. The one that I remember the most being Gen Z myself was Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction- I’m still stuck halfway thru but it’s really good :(- in fact got a feeling the gameplay graphics don’t actually look a lot different .
This game is fun, addicting, and chill. Though, the story is short and isn't that interesting. I played it 3 times in a row after finishing it because I was trying to get all the PlayStation trophies. I haven't played Rift Apart yet, but I know I will play it at some point.
