- There are many challenging ways to play Terraria but this one is by far the dumbest. Today we try to beat Terraria while staying in water the entire time. Terraria but im submerged always. Part 2 is Finally here!!!

physical pain when you got the pirate and optic staff without considering the blade or sanguine staff
also, replace the light source blocks in the arena with bubble blocks

4:30 you could have just upgraded the jellyfish diving gear to the arctic diving gear to get around the chilled debuff.
The moment you said you want to do the mechnical bosses as a summoner and not get the blade staff or sanguine staff first... i thought "what is this man doing to himself?", but it went better then I expected. Good video!

@@doccles17 Me. I always finish like the madman for all the craits and quest rewards. You can get a lot of useful things by fishing, and they actually changed the randomiser so you don't get the duplicates of the things you already have in inventory
Too bad you didnt think of Duke Fishron. Although to be fair, he would have been a nightmare in this challenge. His mount of course increases your damage while submerged, but more importantly his winds allow for free movement in water as if you had flippers and slightly faster move speed
Wings dont work because they are slower underwater and also dont work when you are on a mount

you should use cursed/ichor torch they work under water and very easy to get

Yeah getting Neptune shell and building up to celestial shell would have made this so much better. And using bubble blocks so as not to collide with the blocks in the area while still having light. Would have made this run way more easier.

This reminds me of one of my journey runs, where i decided to flood the entire world. It got to be maybe 80-90% complete above the surface before i lost the world hehe
For summoner, you can use the Squires Set from the Tavernkeep after one mech, its pretty insane for tanking
yeah, quite insane that it's basically melee defense combined with summon damage
Neptunes shell would’ve been a amazing accessory
fun fact, that octopus thing is one of the most rarest enemies, but its not hard to find at all because you need to incorrectly choose the wrong lunatic cultist again while the dragons still alive
I love this type of playthrough. Would love to see more of this one, or possibly an underground only play through.
The map would need to be altered in some way though to enable certain things/make the underground play through more interesting.

Possible playthrough idea, only islands playthrough. All landmasses are islands and connecting them fails the challenge.
Maybe without flying mounts/ flying to ensure the player has to use actual dexterity to jump between places and creative thinking.

Bruh, he never played summoner. You should first get Blade Staff from Queen Slime and then fight Dreadnautilus during blood moon to get the Sanguine Staff, which is the best staff in the game after Terraprisma, Desert Tiger Staff and Stardust Dragon Staff (so it’s the best staff pre-Plantera)

You can make diamond gem spark blocks and make them into walls and use them as lightsource so u can't knock into them. They are the weakest light source but works
Btw, there is a weapon called blade staff, dropped from the queen slime, it's so good for airborne enemy
The bat staff from bloodmoon fishing would have made this trivial

Spider minions only work on background walls. It’s better to go for blade staff or sanguine staff.

Just wanted to point this out, coral torches still work underwater and are very bright, which would've worked well in your arena or just as a light source

You need bubble blocks for your lights as well as some more visibility potons like nightowl and hunter
none of the ooa accessories stack with each other. you can only get the +10% summon damage from one of them

The sanguine staff works really well in water
Blade staff too pretty sure
Late to the party, but the Party Girl sells Bubble Blocks, which would let you have air pockets without compromising mobility.

Once they made it so Moon Lord's beam goes through blocks, I don't feel bad for cheesing it.
So for the minions you went like for every worst option imaginable)
Pirates have the worst ai of all minions. Spiders, pirates and piqmeys can't attack while flying, optic staff has a terrible aim with lasers.
While you skipped:
- Sanguine staff, one of the most reliable ai and longest range, available right at the start of hardmode by fishing during the blood moon (if you can cheese the Dreadnautilus).
- Blade staff. The drop from queen slime, one of the best options against mechs due to attack behaviour and ignoring defense.
- Xeno staff. Also one of the best minions ai, they fly, teleport to enemies extremely fast and fire lasers that cannot miss. Droped from the martian invasion.
- Raven staf, although for it you should've grind the pumpkin moon. Also flying and has a good damage.
- Tempest staff, mini tornados from duke fishron. Technically can be got pre mech.
- Terraprisma, obviously would be insanely hard to get, but hey, it's there

You could've probably just placed thin strips or even dots of wall for the spiders to cling to, especially since they can also cling to enemies once they start attacking them. You'd still switch them to flying when moving too far away from them, but with Skeletron that's not an issue, and anyway they'd probably re-join the battle on the nearest piece of wall after catching up.

Hey there summoner main here don’t use back and forth motions with the mechanical bosses you can usually do loops around them to keep your minions engaged
I haven't played in a long time but this game will always have a special place in my heart

Goldfish helmet coulda solved all the “must always be in water” issues. So long as you don’t need to breath

Could have make it even more easier with few things.using honey instead of water. Use bubbles to place camp fires and heart lanterns around and of course those + defense statues.

the sanguine staff and queen slime staff is perfect for water and bosses and they are fast enough to catch up and hit HARD

What is absolutely crazy, that you did not have the accessory which gives you the mermaid look underwater... :D so you can just freely move in water with it. And you still won. Wow, nice game. :D

The updates for the diver gear like the arctic diving gear could have helped the gameplay, or summons like the ones dropped by Pumpkin Moon event and Duke Fishron

There should be a mod where its reverse for air. Like you get bubbles or something else over your head while you're out of water instead of having bubbles over your heard while in water.
kinda suprised you didn’t get neptune’s shell. You legit breathe water when submerged and move fast af. Also prolly could have done a background in the arena that provided light (although you did mention how much of a task that would be).
