Hey man. Thanks for the video. Can you share where did you buy the Chip Reset Fob. I'm finding to many online, not sure which one is reliable. Thank you!
my issue is that the waste ink completely misses the pads, it seems to be dripping on the top plastic part and off to the sides, creating a puddle under the printer >.< i'm contemplating on breaking off the top plastic shielding and allowing it to free drip on top of the pads. it's been a few head cleanings already, but the pads have not once been saturated with waste ink.
I have the 8500 which is the A4 version of this printer. Something I don't understand about these maintenance boxes is how does the excess ink collected in the ink pad drain to the box when the box is higher than the pad.
Thanks for the video ! Super clear. I see that it is written we should reset before 15% ? Is it some misunderstanding of the resetter manufacturer ? Also can you show us the internals of the resetter ?
Great video, please help, how to reset the internal ink waste tank counter without a key, or tell me about a software to do it as many times I want, somebody please.
Do you have a video on the making the external waste container? What maintenance would you perform prior to going away for a few days/ weeks, and then when you got back?
Good stuff, thank you I have been following. Quick questions 1.Which is better using CISS tank or leaving the ones they came with 2. May you please do a vedio of does and don't s when using an epson et 8550 when doing dt from lessons leant so far
Your link for the resetter is no longer available, it says page not found and I am in dire need of one like last week lol can you help me with a link?? I have the et8550. thanks
@@HangryMuscle ok so im a little confused because ink pads are actual pad sponges that soak up the residue ink that comes out of each print. (not the printer head like the maintenance box as i believe that is separate) the 8550 printer has these as well doesn't it? Heres a link video to the ink pads im referring to. I believe the majority of epson printers may have these ink pads and can reach an "END OF LIFE" MESSAGE and they dont have replacements for purchase. i just wanted to confirm before i made an investment on this printer th-cam.com/video/Ow6eqZELeBI/w-d-xo.html
@@moneysssssss this is what im trying to figure out because someone on an amazon review said they were separate and that he was pissed regarding the 8550 printer because he made about 2000 borderless prints and the error message of "ink pad end of life service" was on the screen. he said they didnt have replacements and it mentioned he had to get the printer serviced and that it was separate from the maintenance box so im confused as well.
I have one last question, there is an extension of the warranty for an additional three years. for 180 euros. Do you recommend it? Would it be an extra protection important? . Did you buy it for yourself? Thank you for your patience
You can get the chip reset here: www.hangrymuscle.com/products/c9345-maintenance-tank-chip-resetter-for-epson-printer-et-5800-et-8550-16600-l15150-15160-wf7820-st-c8000
Why keep paying for a replacement boxes, when you can just reset it. Thats $10, $15 plus shipping and downtime because you cannot print until the maintenance box is replaced or reset.

Why manual says that the maintenance pads is not user replacable? Do we also need to replace the pads somewhere in the future of using this printer?

It gets suck from the capping station then drains to the maintenance box through a tube.
There is an electrical pump that, well, pumps the ink to the tank.

The chip cannot be reset without the fob. It can reset unlimited times.
Thanks for informative video, please tell after how many prints, chip error come.

Drain the tanks and load them with cleaning solution
Where can I find this chip reset fob? Every time I go to the link it’s saying page not found.
Bro just google it
If the original waste tank is not connected since I’d have an external waste tank then why do I need to reset it if nothing goes in there?
I have the 4800, but the tank is empty, Why add a fake error Epson??
Not sure, make sure the chips are clean sometimes those printers have issues reading the chips.
Looks pretty easy to do 😁
Yes it is
Whats the lifespan of the resetter and is there a battery that can be replaced? Thanks in advance for your reply.
Can Epson 8550 do automatic duplex printing
Not sure, I use it for DTF printing only so I've never tested double sided printing.

The Original tanks are better, they're more efficient at preserving ink.
Yes in the future, its too early right now.

I don't have any more, you can check aliexpress or amazon for the resetter
@@HangryMuscle ok, thanks so much!
Does it have to be a certain type of chip re-setter?
Yes, you'll need to look for the chip resetter that resets your maintenance box.
what about the ink pad end of life ? thats different from the maintenance box correct?
Its the same
