Seems like it was fun to participate.. Did they tell everyone to run in some kind of order so as to not really stampede?😮 Those old movies are so funny now..but I was terrified of a couple of them!😮

I live about 20 minutes from Phoenixville and have been to the Colonial Theater many times. I worked in Phoenixville at one time and my boss owned and lived in the Doctor's house. I was only there once, it's a gorgeous restored Victorian home. At the time of the movie's filming it actually was a Doctor's home/office.

That was...CLASSIC! "The Blob" was the first horror film I saw in an actual theater, and, yes, it was in either 1958 or '59. To make matters more interesting, it was in a small, second tier theater very similar to the "Colonial." Needless to say, as a 10 or 11 year old kid, I did not sleep so well, that night. That film has always been one of my favorites.

This video is blob-o-riffic! I've been through Phoenixville, PA. I still laugh at the scene where the townspeople are running out of The Colonial Theater -- with the people laughing or smiling! Back in the early 1970s, I met and briefly spoke with Steve Mc Queen. I asked Steve about his role in "The Blob." Steve just smiled and replied, "Well, you gotta start somewhere." Steve Mc Queen (RIP). Thanks TheDailyWoo.
