  • Extraction is a Netflix film, and stars Chris Hemsworth, and it has an INCREDIBLE "one-shot" action sequence in it. But outside of that, it's kind of just okay. And it has plenty of sins!
    Thursday: animated sins from the aughts.
    Remember, no movie is without sins. Which movie's sins should we count next?

On a serious note, l have never met more brainwashed and misinformed people than people who live in US. I always wondered how US was able to do that with all the internet access you have there, as far as l know you have no internet censorship in US, not to mention that more than 50% of information on the internet is in FUCKING ENGLISH. I've met a guy in Greece once during my vacation, he was from US, we got to talking and this dude legit believed that there was still a war going in Bosnia, and you know what's the worst part? l am from Bosnia, l told him that the war ended in 1995, lol what the actual fuck? It is literally my worst complaint about any piece of media that has this cliche in it. NEVER start your story with flash forwards, future scenes, etc. It removes so much tension and mystery about the story being set up because there's always a fixed point you are headed towards.

      The movies focus isn’t on the action and wether the dude dies; if it was then yeah it’s not a great technique. The whole story of the movie was on forming a connection with the kid, so although you may know the ending at first and although it may seem weak, the ending gains strength as you see the emotional connection gain more and more weight.

    • @sharilshahed6106
      @sharilshahed6106 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@carlsiouxfalls its called suspense. When its done right, its intense, you know whats coming but not how or whether thats exactly how it happens. Like in Tyler's case, we know he's not likely to make it, but what if it turns out he actually did? (Which he probably did btw, depending on who you ask).
      Its still a cliche I guess, but its also a cliche to think an entertainment can be always bad for having cliches.

    Sin #123: There are two generalized categories of bullets used in firearms. Supersonic rounds, which travel faster than the speed of sound. And sub-sonic rounds, which travel slower than the speed of sound. The colonel is definitely using subsonic rounds since the delay between the discharge and the actual bullet impact gives this theory plausibility. The high possibility of the firearm used by the colonel, which seems to be a Walther WA2000, being chambered in 7.62x39mm adds to this theory. Furthermore, the theme of the widely used AK-47s, commonly seen used in impoverished countries due to both ease of access and ease of production via commonly found household products, are chambered in 7.62x39mm, which adds to the further possibility of the WA2000 mentioned before being chambered in the same calibre due to convenient access to the calibre. Now, you might be wondering why I'm bringing this up. This is because 7.62x39mm is a sub-sonic bullet calibre, hence the delay in firearm discharge and actual bullet impact.

      In fairness, there's but a few of theirs I watch without seeing the movie unless to confirm, like with Bloodshot, that I haven't missed a lot. With this movie, I was actually confused as to who was the supposed client, because Ovi Sr. makes a strong point about having a big reach even from inside the prison and Saju went to Dhakka, because Ovi Sr. threatened to kill his wife and son if he didn't, and Saju told his wife that all of Ovi's assets were frozen.
      Now, because anti-terrorism laws strengthened combating money laundering, with Tyler being a supposed black market mercenary, I've found it unlikely that an organization that relies on international wire transfer (like Manafort) would even take the job while risking that the "check bounces", which means their organization was sh*tty or the writers didn't do enough research. Basically they engineered a conflict where there should have been none.
