4:40 That hand grenade works off a chemical reaction. When the trigger is released the reaction starts. Jamming the pin back in at the last second won't stop it because it's not a timer.

@lelwut It's not an exposure to oxygen that sets it off. Otherwise they'd be impossible to make. The "spoon" holds down a spring loaded pin that strikes a primer type thing that starts a chemical reaction in the fuse. That chemical reaction lasts a certain amount of time before it sets off a small primary charge which detonates the main charge of the grenade. But yea... once the spoon is released and the firing pin fires... there's no stopping the reaction.

I don’t really get why you criticise something like this when it’s a MOVIE, there is a lot of gadgets and stuff we see in this movie, and to think that the grenade isn’t different from a normal/standard grenade is pretty funny. As the whole movie is quite fictional...

I find it funny how they didn't sin the fact that during the last fight while everyone's in slowmotion the rain is falling at the same speed regardless. Like, it was so distracting I had to rewind my completely legally acquired copy of the movie few times just to rewatch the scene cuz of rain. Thought it'd definitely be sinned.

One more sin: if the helicopter can barely lift one car at first, how can it easily lift like 4 just a bit later?
And as this shows that the helicopter can lift pretty large loads, this means that in order to hold the chain in place the Rock, according to this movie, can lift about 4 cars with each arm and grip a chain with that weight hanging off it. Dude would've been ripped apart.
Mike Blatzheim I think there’s going to be some big sic-fi reveal for Hobbs. He’s a super soldier or something. If you think about it, the main villain in this movie is one. Why couldn’t the Rock’s character be one too?
It’s was because Idris Elba threw the guy out of the pilot seat and took over and he’s just the kind of actor who immediately improves any technology he touches

It didn't seem right to me and through me off, i'd have to re-watch it.. begrudgingly to remember why it bugged me, but I just remember noticing the instant change to day time and it wasn't a gradual progression like it should have been
Guys the film took place over 4 or 5 days, unless you’re gonna watch a film that’s 108 hours long they obviously have to cut out parts like different things we miss during the fight so it didn’t switch from night to day but the sunrise was cut out
Its obvious all the main fast characters are super heros that's the big twist
I recently rewatched Raiders of the Lost Ark and the fight scene in Marian's bar felt more real than anything I've seen in at least a decade. It's full of long takes, you can see what's happening, and Indy's improvised moves are believable.

They feel betrayed by their “family” who took in their killer(and his brother) as family, a year after he was murdered by him.

Look at it logically... Hobbs has a pulling strength of X that is multiplied by Y due to the leverage of the pully. The helicopter has to compensate because it is being pulled forward, which is why when the cars start accelerating, it can no longer lift.
In other words... It actually makes some sense here, if not 100%
You just need to calculate the choppers lift potential and Hobbs's pull strength somehow

Oh it was 6 minutes from midnight level darkness outside to midday sun. You can see from the timer on that girl.
cameron reece they couldn’t decide if they wanted to end like a Marvel movie or a DCEU movie, so they just switched back and forth every few minutes.
With the exception for the daylight change the end fight took place at dawn as a storm was rolling in they said all this during their planning phase.

The main characters of this series, on the other hand, survived crashes that are _literally Impossible to survive._ Now tell me, which is more likely: unethical research into biomechanical human augmentation or, say, _jumping a car into a fucking helicopter and surviving the crash landing?_ You'd be lucky to be _breathing_ after that second one, but plenty of corrupt people would happily pay for the first one. Can we talk about the fact that at the beginning of the last fight it's pitch black outside 15:47 ; and literally two seconds later when they start fighting it's mid-day and sunny 16:09 and the guns are still offline, meaning not even 6 minutes have passed yet... and then 5 minutes later it's cloudy and pouring rain 17:19
The spoon comes off the grenade when you let go and throw it igniting the fuse making impossible to put the pin back on the grenade to keep it from detonating
It's the trigger, if you push the trigger back in it prevents the grenade from blowing up.

Pulling a glock trigger isnt a “bypass” glocks have Two safetys that are disabled when pulling the trigger, the first is a physical lever safety where the trigger cant be momentum forced down to fire, the second is a drop-fire safety on the firing pin itself so you cant smack a glock around with a hammer to make it go off, you arent bypassing by puling the trigger, you are temporarily disabling them.

I thought of this movie more as a a live action cartoon. When two men survive crashing on to a car after a long fall from a building, animation is involved.
Did anyone else notice the name of Ryan Reynolds's character is Locke and how the Rock is named Hobbs? You know, John Locke and Thomas Hobbes? Quite frankly, this movie is so lacking in subtlety that I'm fairly certain that the only reason that Brixton isn't named Shakespeare is because it's too obvious.

@@tank4ever it was. The cop thing was the side story, the main one was about street racing and the different gangs. And all the main characters were into street racing even Brian, who just also happened to be a cop.
In newer films they don't even investigate street racers they just go hunt terrorists and are used as military assets, all of them. Completely different
