Nier covers is why I'm here. Excellent.
Having never played Nier, my only frame of reference for the soundtrack, is your channel. And I have to say, I ADORE this. The simplicity of it all, but it still carries so much emotional depth, whilst sounding like a lullaby. Amazing work, as always Mike, and I'm glad you're getting a chance to revisit some old favourites too =)

Long before time had a name, Ninjago was created by the first Spinjitzu master by using the four weapons of Spinjitzu, The Scythe Of Quakes, The Nun-Chucks Of Lightning, The Shurikens Of Ice, The Sword Of Fire. Weapons so strong, noone could handle all of their power at once, When he passed away his sons swore to protect them bit the oldest was consumed by darkness and wanted to posses them. A Battle between brothers broke out but the oldest was struck down and banished to the underworld, peace returned and the younger brother hid the weapons but knowing his older brother's ambition for power, he placed a guardian to rotect them, and for fear from his own demise a map for an honest man to hide, that honest man was your father and the older brother is lord Garmadon and i need to find those weapons before he does

She misses some of the starting notes that roll into the proper notes, which i know can be done with the flute. That's the only thing bugging me. The notes that rise into themselves are just abruptly already there when the singer clearly chose to slide those notes up into themselves from intentionally placed lower notes, rather than just going straight to them...
But other than that, it's a beautiful collaboration. My ears are just fiercely picky.
And i noticed on some of the revamps on the Replicant re-release have also removed the "sliding" voices... not sure why change that perfect, intensely memorable effect that i had always loved about the Nier singers...
Youre playing it waaaay too fast
