Are those semaphores set up as ABS automatic signals, or as CTC (or another dispatcher controlled) signals? Looking at how they change from clear to stop indications on the opposing direction, I’m not sure how they’re set up. At around 6:50 the opposing signal goes from down (red) to up (green) as soon as Amtrak clears the block. But then at 7:56 the opposing signals for Amtrak drop from high to low as Amtrak gets very near?
Hey railfans! Get those historic Santa Fe era semaphores while you still can. Even though the trains are Amtrak, the semaphores allow you to go back to yesteryear and Santa Fe's Super Chief.

Great video! Excellent quality! I wish I knew all the locations, but I could only find a few. They will be coming down this year. New signal equipment is at Raton & Las Vegas yards as of February 3, 2020. Supposedly the first semaphores to fall will be MP 706 on down to Las Vegas.
Supposedly no semaphores will be scrapped. All are spoken for once retired in a few months. Some going to museums, one or two to BNSF HQ, and a few to corporate execs.

Wonderful video. Great pieces of railroad history. Irreplaceable. Some one ought to try to save one or more at a railroad museum.
