  • This remarkable little go-anywhere vehicle is a Duzgo, created 40 years ago by two farming brothers, who needed a quad bike before such things existed. Kevin and Rodney Giles built the Duzgo around a bespoke chassis, with a simple agricultural engine up front, driving through a sidevalve Ford gearbox AND an Austin Cambridge gearbox. This allowed super-low gears for traversing difficult terrain, but enough gearing to allow reasonable on-road performance.
The rear axle is a Ford unit, the front suspension is Morris Minor torsion bar and the rear simple leaf springs. The Giles brothers built ten, but were thwarted by tax regulations at the time. Rodney still restores and renovates the survivors, six of which are currently roadworthy! Scottish legend Billy Connolly has apparently driven one (not this one) and loved it.
