I feel you! I went from 6 years med/tele to ER thinking I would love it but after 2 months I realized it is not for me & giving me the most anxiety I’ve ever experienced as a nurse. Thank goodness my manager was understanding & gave me a reference in the same hospital but as a float nurse instead. Nursing is hard!

I also left rehab nursing after three weeks in 2016. Don't be discouraged. There are so many other areas that you can work that are not bedside nursing- case management, forensic nursing, cruise nursing, group home nursing, home health nursing, utilization review, cosmetics nursing, etc, etc. Good luck with your search. 15 years Nurse ( RN/BSN). here.

Please don’t quit nursing just because you made the mistake of working in a hospital. There are so many nursing jobs available in need of nurses, outside a hospital setting. I never made my nursing career in a hospital setting and the jobs I had going back to 1980 were quite rewarding except for the first job which the facility deliberately created staff shortages for profits. Workplace bullying and mobbing is a thing most nursing jobs outside the hospital will not tolerate. It’s unprofessional, counterproductive and it creates a non conducive working environment and staff turnover, while increasing the risk of liability issues. When it comes to the health care industry, working conditions in today’s hospitals are at ground zero.
