I just want to say I’m a huge fan of how the questionable zoom camera and sound makes the guy in the other room just look even more crazy. He’s like the guy you meet in a dark alley to buy some tone from.

When I was in high school, I saw one of those for sale, at a local shop, for $30. I was super poor though. I had enough to get the sheet music to “axis bold as love” OR that pedal. I need a time machine, must be what I’m saying…

Thank you Josh and crew for having fun with pedals and letting us be entertained. My favorite fuzz pedal is the FZ-1/FZ-1A. Very unpopular choice, but i don't care. Bosstone would be second and then all Tone Benders. I have never played any of these except a Bosstone clone (EHX Satisfaction with diodes & cap).

I owned one of those first fuzz pedals. It was intended for bass! I used it with my bass. They even sold a bass with one built in. I also had a Brassmaster, the three button Oberheim phase shifter, the ring modulator, and I had borrowed that guitar synth multi effects thing. Oh and some filter pedal with sample and hold and multi tone booster.

  • @Anchores76

I bought the earth chorus few weeks and here is my thought :
    - Really in the caricatural Gibson spirit : too heavy, not super well made, looks good, probably too expensive regarding the build quality
    - the switch is absolutely awful for the price,
    - not really the kinda of "shiny" chorus that I originally buy it for, but still sounds good.
    - depth all the way up and speed all the way down makes gainy sounds really dark but absolutely awesome for doom/stoner stuff.

Nice. I like the Maestro stuff. I’m fascinated with the gate in the distortion. I too would have liked to see a phaser pedal, but I think they were pushing out more the type of stuff the haven’t done yet. I think if the best were pushed out first, it would have been anti climactic for the second round.

My first thought was “GET ON WITH IT ALREADY!!!!” And I WAS a ‘70s synth player! Incidentally, I don’t know how many tape loops I replaced back in the early - to mid - ‘70s in Echoplexes, along with Roland Space Echoes and Chorus Echoes, always using Ampex 456 Mastering Tape. The back side of the tape is impregnated with graphite, a very effective lubricant, and I never had to fix a replacement loop! There are a number of them that are out there somewhere, still echoing like new. Maestro made a thing that brass and woodwind players used in the early days - a Frequency Multiplier/Divider. And that Octave Box came later! By the way, JHS Pedals are.OVERPRICED BY AT LEAST 98%

1:40:23 i liked this jam but you missed an opotunity to let Daniel play with the oscilation of his cool tape echo unit over this. i bet nobody would notice the lag...

Wow that tape Echo reminds me of the reggae from the 80s that's probably what they used because the oscillation sounds identical
