@@pi2745 Ohh, so far, I am just doin fundamental courses like physical, inorganic and organic chem.. I am taking Biochemistry and Med Chem.. The introduction of the Med Chem will be on my second year tho.. Well, if you’re doin good with your chemistry overall, i believed this is a good discipline! But take note, this will include human bio and anatomy.. 😁👍

I am currently in pharmacy school and I hope to continue in the field of medicinal chemistry,But in Iraq we only have a pharmaceutical chemistry program. The question is whether pharmaceutical chemistry and medicinal chemistry have the same focus in work and research.
That's very interesting! I'm sure their expertise outside chemistry will contribute quite a bit to the drug design. A friend of mine who is a structural biologist in the pharmaceutical industry has a PharmD degree as well.
@@molemanchem4385 I think it is because the rise of biostartups many people found companies with their experiences they got from their PhD for example companies like Biontech are huge succes story in here. And in Europe those diplomas are MSc level where you do 5 or 6 years of school after graduation and the promise of patent rights is just exciting for them. and alao you never know what will happen when I first attended İstanbul Uni faculty of pharmacy I thought I was going to become a community pharmacist and now I am a formulations guy working on Nebulizers and writing code to find the optimum dosege projections so you never know

You have to learn medicinal chemistry for 5 years here to become a pharmacist, even if your job will never have anything to do with drug production/quality checking etc, just the customer service part and dispensing prescription drugs
