Hi there, what is electrical wire that a plastic clip to undo for? I replaced my husband's starter on his freightliner and accidentally pulled it out wrong but the wires I just taped together and truck starts up fine. Great video wish I had looked it up.
Does that plug go to the ac compressor? I had a starter and pdm replaced at my terminal and they didnt plug anything on the pdm. So i think the compresser is disconnected
hello, yes the old starter would drag and it would make a sound when starting, before you change your starter, make sure the batteries are well tightened, and also the wires on the starter
Hey I wached video your video removing starter what sockets you used stater 3 bolts took two out but I can’t remove one is tight am aslo using 16 mm for stater
If you think that he missed something and you still don’t get it what he done in this video you have no business messing with the truck, let someone else do it.
My truck freightliner cascadia 2016 automatic.. The truck won't start no crank sound just giving the click normal sound when I try to fireup no check engine light showing and by the way I'm sure my truck has power but still no start . I was doing just too make sure using the battery cable to make sure charging up the truck battery for some time than try again but the truck still no start and no crank sound. not sure what's going on .
Mine also a automatic and it just happened today , I hear no noise and checked voltage it was ok , I also trying to use screw drivers to bypass ignition was only clicking..I think my starter is bad. How was yours fixed ?

@@TRUCKINGTIPSDIY cuando queda andando al mínimo,,, 500/600 rpm por defecto el motor se detiene a los 3 minutos,,,, como dejarlo andando sin ese límite de tiempo
Yo tengo un Freightliner Cascadia de 2009 con motor de Serie 60 y no se si será lo mismo en todos los Cascadias pero desconecta el plug de la pedal de hembrague (clutch), se te va a quedar todo el rato encendido, si quieres puedes manejar a si también pero el freno motor queda inactiva, así es como hago en el mío
You made it look easy. It took a guy 3 hours to change the starter on my truck.
That’s how long it’s usually takes lol. Book time on replacing the starter is actually 3.5 hours.

Actually that starter in the video is actually lighter. Then the older starters. Like almost 30 lbs lighter

Used this to locate the starter so I could tap on it. Damn thing is going out and it's 33.° Should have known where it was, now I do.

Mechanic charged me 3 hours to change it. Is that reasonable price for that?
