Thinking about my fears is the biggest trigger for my anxiety. The last 3 mins is exactly what needs to be reconciled.

I can absolutely relate with that, and it's so hard to be aware of it in the moment. Thank you for writing Sujitha

You are amazing! So calm and composed and it reflects in your content. Thank you for walking us through this awfully tough psychology of our toddlers during a tantrum. Gave me a whole new perspective on understanding and dealing with my child's emotional needs. Thank you 🙏

Thanks! I have hard days all the time, the key is bringing back the calm when I realize it. I know it's not easy all the time. but all we can do is try!

You are amazing...! Please guide me for handling twin sons. Younger snatches toys from elder, whatever in his hand. I don't understand how do I deal with this, because elder would definitely get frustrated with this. Younger cries if I oppose him, may be he doesn't understand this. I don't understand how to make him understand that don't snatch things from his brother.

Hi Vidya, I have watched almost all your videos and have been following you since last two years now. I have a two year old girl, and your thoughts puts many things in perspective. Thank you for taking out time for providing good content!
An unrelated question, I find your sofas and sofa cover really nice. And always think how u upkeep a white decor with a toddler. Do you remember the brand of sofa and sofa cover? I am in the middle of deciding something new for my house and it would give me few more choices before I decide on it.
Will wait for your reply. Thank you!

Sorry for the late reply Shweta, the sofa is Ikea, and the covers are from Amazon. I wash them about once in 2 months and they've held up well.

All videos are too good Vidya. Your speech is so good it just flows.
Can I just ask you one thing though? If you could mention Vikrant's age at the video's start or if you are telling some past experience then his age at that time. This will help me visualise even better as my LO is 1 year now and I will certainly benefit from your first hand tips!
    Lots of love !

If we are having a change in routine i tell my child what to expect and what we are going to do. In that way it dont give her frustration. It really worked for us. And also initially she used to cry a lot over a broken toy. I tried to console her and i try to fix the toys. It kind of built a confidence in her that later she started to console herself saying mom will fix it. And later when i try to tell her about something i cannot fix, she started to accept that too. Your videos help me a lot. I will definitely try to do better with my second little one.

My Son 18months screams at the topppp of his voice along with Night terrors fornother stuffs as welk (all these started from last 2months) if I don't lift him up and make him touch thhings which I have hidden because of safety issues...like kitchen knives, bathroom cleaners, acids, pesticides... How to deal with it when the house is small and we can't put all things inside...PLEASEEEE. HELP...WE ARE GETTING HEADACHES BECAUSE OF THE LOUDDDDDS SCREAM AND CONTINUOUS CRY... HOUSEOWNER WILL TELL US TO LEAVE IF IT CONTINUES🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I'm sorry you're going through this tough time. It is pretty difficult for toddlers at this age to understand why we stop them from doing certain things. They will come out of this in a few months but your reaction will affect his behavior, please try to be patient and understand that this is harder for him than it is for you.
Give him plenty of everyday objects play with, without you interrupting, like boxes, spoons, bowls, small brush and mop etc. I know if seems hard, but this phase does pass soon enough.

  • @thankamjacob4650

I now I'm late in replying to the comment.Ive been wanting to ask you alot of advice since I saw the video ..As a first time mama it does get overwhelming. My child just turned 2 and for the past few weeks tantrums are only increasing..it mainly is usually not wanting to eat on the table but rather ask to watch something or play durng that time.Would rather not eat.very picky..i stopped running behind and giving and started making her sit on her high chair. The new drama is she only wants to be fed she won't eat and she wants to watch sumthing or be entertained when on high chair.I need a way to tackle this situation.
Seconly if grand parents feel sorry and give her to watch for a little while she'll pull tantrum if u off it.
thirdly potty training has turned into a game she only goes no.1 in potty and not no.2 and if she is in her own whole shell just pee on the floor.
Fourthly getting her to eat by herself.mouth will open if there is something sweet...
Fifthly she can't do independant play for 5 min.i need to be in the same room often she wants me to play...
I know all is wrong i need your advice pls..
With lots of love from India

One more issue is I can't answer any calls from phone in her presence.she wants the phone then and pulls tantrums. If u give and she was not able to get what she wants shell throw the phone. I would love if u reply.Pls give advice on how to deal with tantrums in public.
Just a request from one mom to another

Hi Vidya, I really like your videos since my pregnancy!!! now my son is 8 months old, need your advice! please reply. My son started eating well at 6 months, ate for few days then started rejecting every food offered. I do not force food into his mouth but i am really worried as it has been nearly 2 months since he started rejecting. Is it because of teething? when and how will he start eating. Pls reply, m really stressed out.

Dear Vidya....I have one query...me n my husband has different mindset in raising our child....I used to follow the tricks as you explained in this video.... however my husband is bit into old ways of parenting where parents behaved like they are there boss.. I tried to make him learn to do parenting in your ways.... Sometimes he does sometime not. So I finally realised that my kid will get this parenting from his mother only not from father....because his father think that someone should be there in family from whom child should scared kind of.... Any thoughts on this situation ?? Pls advise what should we do...is he doing right ?
Will child remain satisfy when he groan up thinking that my mother understood me ...father is nice but not in way of my(kid) way
