I got the ad for this while I was watching!
i bought one today impulsively because im going to a national park and wanted an affordable camera; it was between this or the fuji instax or whatever. let's see how it goes!

@@topdeckdog it was terrible lol, waste of $100. the color is not as bright and beautiful as the promotional pics, it all came out with a blue hue and fuzzy, not clear :(

@@bea3130 no :( every one of my pictures looks washed out, not clear, and the colors are not vivid. all the promos are basically lies sadly
I recommend you get the fuji film Instax it'd big but it takes very well pictures‼️

Great review! I was wondering how long the battery lasts?
We didn't test it ourselves but Canon says it will do about 25 prints on a full charge. Considering the printer needs to produce a lot of heat to create each print, that's understandable, but a higher capacity battery would have been nice. Luckily it's as easy to charge as any other USB device.

When I take a picture the print comes out but after it is printed out the camera flashes red and wont let me take another pic. I checked the paper and it is loaded correct. what does the red flashing light mean?

Is it waterproof?
Do we have to use a Canon Zink paper for this Ivy Cliq cameras or other brands of Zink papers are okay too?
putribumi I use the hp zink paper on mine since it’s cheaper and it still works. I don’t notice any difference. At the end of the day it’s a fun camera nothing fancy
Other brands of Zink paper do work, but you will need the original blue card from the Canon pack-in paper, and the quality of the prints may vary.
@@maestarj dang the hp paper is only 31 cents a sheet but still seems expensive
when i take a picture, the picture comes out blank. do i need to do something to change that?
Flip the photo paper.

what if I don't want to print the pictures right away? can I just run the micro sd and import to my computer?
No. From Canon: "If paper is not installed, the IVY CLIQ / IVY CLIQ+ is not available to take a photo even if a microSD card is inserted."
What if the photo is left in sunlight? Will picture get ruined from heat?
ZINK dyes don't activate until at least 230 degrees F (110 C) so they should be ok in most situations, but it's probably not a good idea to leave photos or blank ZINK paper in the sun if you want them to last a long time. The manual for the IVY Cliq states "don't expose photo paper to direct sunlight or moisture". That said, in my experience the prints are pretty resilient.
Looks like a solid gift for our teenagers.
So which one is better??
The Cliq+ is better if you don't mind spending the money. The wireless function alone makes it worth the extra $60 in my opinion.
what types of filters come packed on this camera, and is there anything that would appeal to Lomography shooters in the app or on the camera?
The app has a bunch of filters but nothing out of the ordinary, and quite a few awful filters that would never be useful. You are probably better off using an app like Photoshop Express and then printing from the app, or just use the cheaper version of the camera and forget the filters altogether for a more authentic Lomo-type experience.
So is the audio snapshot customizable?
Apparently it's iOS only, which explains why we couldn't get it to work with an Android phone.

The dinamic range is much better than the R5 😂😂
Has anyone said about how to refill it with ink when it runs out?
The camera doesn't use ink it uses a special type of paper called Zink paper
Once u use up all the sheets u just buy more and pop em back into the camera and your all set

What is the memory card slot for?
Everytime you take a picture it gets backed up digitally in the memory card. It always prints though.
This was so awkward, I felt very uneasy watching it.
