This video is great! Thank you very much! I'm new to Free CAD and was trying to find solution for this problem and today your video just pop up to my screen and voala - just what I was searching for. Amesing!
Just made my shims models soooo much easier to manage! Had no idea that there were string formatting capabilities. With a linked spreadsheet, you can also include formulas in the mix so for example, the text only ever gets so big or formatting changes based on other parameters.
Has anyone else experienced issues with padding a shapestring, then going back and editing it, and then having only the first character show up in the pad?
Have you tried that with different fonts? The font might be missing the characters you are using or has glyphs made out of multiple wires instead of a single outline. These are usually my main issues with a shapestring.
Wow, love it! This video is short, but it is PACKED! So much useful info that I would have never found out by myself! Thanks so much Mr Mango! :)
really usefull! For the other watchers: the "Size" determines the height of the capital Letters if I remember correctly.
Wow...I am amazed about the possibilities in FC and your skills... amazing resource.
As always an incredibly helpful and well explained video!

That is a good video!
to add the mm to the text, wouldn't it be easier to multiply by 1mm?
