    thank you very much for your videos! they are great. Just one help PLEASE. I do not get the sleeping modus function. In you video (minute 17:22) you have the hours of sleep + a "score" on the right side, where it says fair and a number, I DON'T HAVE THAT :(( i just have the date and a blue line telling me where i slept, and where i was unquiet, thats all. No REM, no qualification no nothing. Do i have to activate something on my phone when i go to be? Do i have to leave the bluethooth, location and internet on during night? or does exactly works? THANKS A MILLION FOR YOUR HELP!

    Love the overlay of pace and HR on the map. Would love to see Garmin and Strava add that to their apps.

      Indeed, it's a pretty cool (and yet simplistic) concept. Makes it super easy to identify interval type workouts (or, even just hills).

    Hi DC great video also nice t-shirt as Boston is my hometown. I have a question as it relates to the best fitness tracker vivosmart 4 or the Fitbit charge 4? Is that another fitness tracker on your right arm as well?

    Another great video Ray. My son is fancying a watch with HRM, I prefer Garmin, would you suggest the charge 4, or is there something Garmin equivalent, that would suit an 8 year old.

    Hi Ray,
    Thank you for the video and full in-depth review article. They've blown me away.
    There is one thing I 've found really attractive about this watch is the SmartTrack™ Auto Exercise Recognition. Could you give us some reviews about this? I read a lot on the forums that this is just a marketing trick and not work as expected. Would like to hear your ideas. Thank you so much!

    Thanks

    Absolutely great review, thank you, a lot of details and anything you don't find here, it's in the written one. It's time for me to upgrade my Charge 2 (all the internals still function, but the screen has completely stopped working, which I read is a common problem after the first 2 years. Btw, has the charge 3 improved on that front?). My only hesitation is if they renew the versa line in the coming months, because a versa 3 with (hopefully) an on-board GPS would be a dream, since it has better integration with apps like Strava and the screen is so much better.

    Does this thing track steps better? My charge 3 is waaaaaay off. My iPhone can read 2500 and charge 3 7500. I’m on it for the steps. Frustrating

    How about Huawei Band 4 Pro as a direct competitor? It costs 40% of the price of Charge 4 standard edition and has GPS, very good sleep tracking, colour display...

    Would it be worth my while signing up for premium if I’m a very unfit beginner? What does premium offer that would be useful for me at the beginning? Or should I wait until I can walk faster. I’m mostly interested in my heart rate, my sleep metrics and my steps.

    I wore mine out on a ride that lasted around an hour, the ride was recorded on a Wahoo Elemnt, i did not record a ride on the Fitbit, i just wanted to check the accuracy of the HR vs the chest strap i was wearing. The issue i found is the Fitbit gave me 3,000+ steps in this one hour outdoor bike ride. Is there a way to stop steps counting while riding the bike? Is this something you have came across before?

    Hey I'm stuck! I've watched tonnes of your videos and been on your site too. I can't decide on which sports watch to get. I currently have the Garmin 734 but the optical HR is horrible for the activities I do. I play about 10 hours tennis a week. My heart rate goes up to 182bpm and then drops between rallies. Optical HR doesn't measure that at all. I'm also suspicious about the step count during tennis. Same inaccuracy for my strength training and yoga. Which Optical HR watch would you say is the most accurate for those activities. I don't run, swim or cycle. Based on your reviews I'm thinking Fitbit charge 4, ionic or Vivosport 4. I can't get apple watch because I don't use iPhone.
    So my priority is the most accurate optical sensor watch that gives lots of data like recovery and sleep.

    I just bought the Fitbit Charge 4 two days ago and it doesn't look like yours for the sleep mode. I doesn't give me a score, it just gives me my sleep time. I doesn't have the graph either that tells me time awake and time asleep. It gives Hours in Sleep Stages but it is really not user friendly at all. I don't understand the graphics of it. I also don't understand why it doesn't have the graphics on the phone when I wake up. It takes it about an hour to show up after I shower. I can't scroll down on my sleep. It only has two graphics when I swipe over. My heart rate is also not the same. I like yours better. I'm a bit frustrated.

    Burning question: are you actually able to save and keep any of the fitbit data? I heard if you leave fitbit and delete your account the data is gone like forever? Not sure if the same is true for Garmin?

    My phone app options do not look like yours. Are you showing options that are only available with the Premium membership?

    • @Dcrainmaker
      @Dcrainmaker  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's been 1.5 years since the video came out, and Fitbit has changed a lot since then. But nothing I showed required premium (at the time, or not) - unless explicitly noted.

    Hey I was curious as to which would be the better purchase. The Fitbit Charge 4 or the Mobvoi TicWatch S2?

    • @Dcrainmaker
      @Dcrainmaker  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't played with the TicWatch S2, but I think in terms of sport - my guess would be that it's probably more full featured (WearOS). Though, inversely, my off the cuff guess would be that it isn't as polished and still a bit rough.

  • @lucaMMXI
    @lucaMMXI 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Prospective buyers need to know that new users (myself included) cannot access any of the settings up right out the box until they’ve updated the firmware. How long that will last is anybody’s guess and Fitbit does a poor job at shedding light on this: it takes 2 to 6 days of waiting around for the Fitbit to finally notify you that there’s an update available. Beyond annoying and the radio silence from Fitbit is what frustrates most.

    You didn’t say if the HR display was always on. It looked like it wasn’t because you kept hitting the side button but I couldn’t tell if there was an option for alway on display and if so how long battery would last. The reviews are meaningless if that is not included!
