      @SantiVelmont 4 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      I see that for many people not bringing their cellphone with them is very important, but I honestly don't see why it's so relevant. Adding features such as having music stored in it and the built-in GPS definitely makes them charge us more for something that one would only use while running/biking. It's such a small inconvenience that can easily be taken care of by one of the greatest inventions ever: a fanny pack.

    • @Hmellon92
      @Hmellon92 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Santiago Monsalve Torres the idea that you can run with less bulk is a game changer, especially if you’re running long distances. A fanny pack or a phone in the pocket does make a huge difference to how comfortable your run is.

    • @SantiVelmont
      @SantiVelmont 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haz Melz That's right. I agree. It's just that I personally don't find that such comfort is worth it to have if that means having a considerable increase in the price. But that's just because I won't be using Fitbit for listening to music. I avoid headphones as much as I can because of the bad consequences that they have for the ears over time. So I acknowledge my point is just very convenient for me. 😅

    This video made it sound like you have to turn GPS on and off manually each time you want to exercise. If so, that would be a major blunder on Fitbit's part. They'd be stupid not to have a GPS only during exercise option. My Galaxy Active 2 gets more than 3 days of battery with that setting enabled.

    It is my understanding the GPS only operates when you start an exercise, so there is no need to turn if off while not in exercise mode. I don't think it saves your battery to turn it off, it isn't "enabled" until the exercise tracking starts.

    It's a good product, don't get me wrong but I 2020 with this tracker priced at 150$ you would expect a better battery life. The missing part was GPS but it literally kills your battery. Also, you still need your phone to run because it can't store music downloaded from Spotify (none of the Fitbit, you might store downloaded music in a folder like in versa and ionic, come on fitbit). And, last but not least, the software is still laggy. Come on...

    I'm guessing with the Charge 5 they will finally get rid of the Fitbit logo on the front of Charge to make the screen bigger. The current screen is tiny 😂. I'm a dude with wide/ big fingers so it's not that much surface area for me to be tapping on with my Charge 3.

    "GPS is a game changer because there's nothing I hate more than Big Brother losing track of where I am." The 4 is almost useless outdoors (where I use my 2 ) because the screen is impossible to see unless you only go out at night and you're not standing under a lamppost. Having to block the light with your other hand to get a glimpse of the screen is stupid. Especially when I'm cycling.

    I bought a Fitbit HR years ago and the sensor burned me. This happened to thousands of people and they were eventually recalled. I've been scared/unwilling to try again after receiving second degree burns from their product. This must have been 6+ years ago. Are those issues a thing of the past?

    I have the Charge 3 right now & then I saw the Charge 4. But I've been waiting for 2 years now to get an Apple Watch Series 4 or 5 for my iPhone. And now at this point I'm probably going to end up waiting for the Apple Watch Series 6

    bye bye fitbit you just lost a loyal customer since the old clipon units. i ve suffered through fitbit2, 3 because all the units i got have trouble to sync. on top of that i had rma twice for both generations. GPS is not a game changer, most of the i have my phone with me anyways...its useless. moving on the huawei band because of your incompetent. it literally synced when i push the sync button WOW mind blowing coming from fitbit. quite sure the accuracy are good enough on both bands.
