Wild canines and members of the weasel family live off of rodents like rats, mice, and squirrels. A wild coyote needs to eat about 60 house mouse sized rodents A DAY. That's 1,800 per month. So that means they have 1,800 opportunities to get sick every single month! If they were as fragile as people think, they would have caught some disease and gone extinct a long time ago! Plus to top it off, I keep my animals fully vaccinated. The risk is incredibly low. Dog parks, on the other hand, are INCREDIBLY dangerous when it comes to spreading disease, and yet no one thinks to worry about taking their dog to the park.....

Experience of doing this so often also does play a part into it as well

For me it was onsa. The ability to track things underwater and dive for it was amazing plus fast like boss and as intelligent as sherni. I wanna see if bindi can get to that level.
Boss really is the perfect all around working dog. He'll do and play any role needed to get the job done. And he really is a pleasant dog to be around as well; very good with people.
Right around 30:42, near the beginning, into your video there appears to be several automotive batteries. Theses batteries should be recycled and not left laying around because they will leak or even explode sulfuric acid.

New Yorkers need to be clean first. I went there, and was shocked how filthy the city is. Piles of garbage on the curb, lot of scaffolding with no purpose
Great vid, rats are horrible things, they used to scare my hens, the poison traps never used to work, my cat used to catch a few though, love the mink.
I'm surprised if the farm doesn't get a fine for storing used batteries the wrong way. There are so many health violation codes being broken. I hope this is the first step in fixing up this "Farm".
Rats really don't fight back, though they have sharp teeth and claws but their damage is minimal while the minks crushing bite almost kills the rat in a second.

Yet the minks are friendly to you, their handler. 🙂🦋
@@Coluichemisicrede They would, if they weren't such an issue for human life. They bring far more disease than other animals. And, even then, notice how he makes the point of explaining in the video it is more decent to kill the rats with dogs and a mink (an ugly but quick and effective death) over poisoning them or using traps (an ugly, slow and not so accurate method for death). My own house doesn't have rat issues since I have a mixed German shepherd and a goldie in here. And they're pets, never trained for rat hunting.
snuggling with my pet rat while watching dogs and mink clear out invasive rats is an odd feeling (no, this is not hate i absolutely love joseph’s methods at clearing rats. a lot of rat traps are either ineffective or just needlessly cruel.. aka glue traps or poison.)

All the dogs worked so well and Goldie was fantastic, only going after the biggest rats! Loved seeing the camera man catching a live rat too, just shows how much fun ratting is.
This was actually her first day. She was kind of wandering around all day distracted, but that all changed after that first one she caught. She was turned on after this and far more efficient killing them her second day.
Yeah I think the dogs are like this is heaven!! They are like….” Work?” Nah!!! We are having best time of our lives lol! 🐕❤
Honestly, no matter how good Sherni was or Bindi ever will be. Boss is the best dog ever.
This is so satisfying to watch. Gypsey is the MVP. Thank you for sharing & please please please continue what you do. Keep up the awesome work!
Rats: *To the dogs* Ha! You can't fit in our burrows!
(Mink uncaged)
Rat: Why do I hear boss music?
The Team Work in this video with the dogs and Minks is incredible.
Those little minks are vicious. 😮😮😮
10:22
That is just unbelievable until you see it. 😂 Amazing agility
I can’t wait for a “mink GoPro attachment “ to come out 🤘
Right around 30:42, near the beginning, into your video there appears to be several automotive batteries. Theses batteries should be recycled and not left laying around because they will leak or even explode sulfuric acid.
Not sure who enjoyed this most, the dogs or the humans. An absolute frenzy
BOSS just doesn't get the credit he deserves. SMASHES everything you point him at, yet he give it up to all the smaller dogs without a thought.... Well trained dog that deserves more credit, love him..... Bindi is looking 👍, smashing it too.
Can u please offer tour services to New York City!! Your dogs (and u all) would have a ball!!
New Yorkers need to be clean first. I went there, and was shocked how filthy the city is. Piles of garbage on the curb, lot of scaffolding with no purpose
This gotta be a sport, because this is entertaining! Also i love how the animals are getting they’re own highlights 😂
Salut à toutes l'équipe, j'ai été très impressionné par l'adresse des chiens et de la fouine, comment elle s'appelle ? Excellente vidéo, merci. 🇨🇵❤️👍
I love watching the dogs catching Rats. 🐀
They are having a great time while working.
Great videos. 👍
I've been wondering what's been missing from my life lately. I haven't been keeping up on watching your mink hunting. 😊
fighting pest is never ending
Great vid, rats are horrible things, they used to scare my hens, the poison traps never used to work, my cat used to catch a few though, love the mink.
The dogs/mink must have one hell of an immune system to not get sick biting on all those rats
I'm surprised if the farm doesn't get a fine for storing used batteries the wrong way. There are so many health violation codes being broken. I hope this is the first step in fixing up this "Farm".
This gonna make me miss boon. Badass mink right there, outworking them all tenfold.
I can watch the mink work all day just a cooler full of beer is all I need 😮
Perfect afternoon! Beer and a good hunting Mink!!
@@airsofter123ify heck yeah
How do the Mink not get serious injuries? Those rats are vicious but she shows no fear! Love your videos 🇬🇧😆
Minks are the fiercest creatures, on earth. Had they been the size of actual big dogs, no animal would have been safe
@@jonasfadi8213 wow! They do seem pretty invincible against the rats.
They are in the same family as honey badgers and we all know how fierce they are, so minks are their small fierce cousins.
@@fragsnake I don’t know much about honey badgers but if these feisty warriors are anything to go by I don’t want to know 😆
Rats really don't fight back, though they have sharp teeth and claws but their damage is minimal while the minks crushing bite almost kills the rat in a second.
Good puppers! The minkey too!
In Van Wert count ,Ohio 40,000 + minks were let loose !!!!
The reaction speed of the dogs is incredible, akin to a house cat.
Absolutely brilliant , job well done.
The cameraman needs more recognition, always getting the action in frame and really good at chasing everything
I agree, especially when he caught a rat himself
Fighting nature with nature. I like it!
Always look forward to videos from you Joseph. Been watching your content for years.
Cameraman keeping up with the awesome actions, impressive!👏
What a bunch of good doggos!
That mink is absolutely merciless and relentless
I'm new to your channel and took an immediate like to Boss & Bindi. They are beautiful dogs and and are spot on in catching rats. I later found out Boss passed away. Made me very sad. I'm so sorry for your loss. 😢 Love the videos and am binge watching the videos. Very smart idea to use Mink. They are aggressive and fit nicely in the rat holes. Yet the minks are friendly to you, their handler. 🙂🦋
That's so amazing, to give these animals what they want more than anything is such love ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️
Poor rat. They also have a heart and suffering. They also deserve to live
And they're pets, never trained for rat hunting.
snuggling with my pet rat while watching dogs and mink clear out invasive rats is an odd feeling (no, this is not hate i absolutely love joseph’s methods at clearing rats. a lot of rat traps are either ineffective or just needlessly cruel.. aka glue traps or poison.)
also water is such a brilliant method for getting rats up. rats HATE! water, and with all that water flooding into their burrows it’s bound to make them scramble up to the surface to get out of there
A new ratting video on my birthday? Thank you!
happy birthday!
@@JosephCartertheMinkMan thank you so much!
I love watching these dogs n mink work,,,,❤
Amazing video! Well done guys. You should put out a video helping farmers all around the world! How to do what you've done and save their lively-hoods.
Humans couldn't find a better biomimetic strategy to get rid of rats. Well done guys, I hope your business is sustainable!
Not sure why I rarely see your vids on my recommendations but I love your content
Hit that bell and let TH-cam know you want to see my stuff! Also, if you go back and watch a bunch of the videos you've missed, TH-cam is MUCH more likely to recommend more. Also, if you skip through a video quickly instead of watching the whole thing, TH-cam thinks you don't like the video, and won't recommend them as much.
Will do!
Also commenting helps too. Which is what I do to help to boost videos.
@@steffimaier7297 thanks for that info
Patterdale terriers are the pound for pound baddest dog on the planet 💯
They are all very happy to help you wow
this is so satisfying to watch! i guess the mink - has the time of his life.
I'm obsessed with your ratting vids. I hate them so much. Have you ever thought about bringing your team to New York to tackle their rat problem?
New York is a very filthy city. I was there, and I saw piles of garbage on the sidewalk festering. New Yorkers are deliberately feeding the rats. You should do a better job sorting garbage first
