I think your locum arrangement provides handy, free accommodation because Hobart has one of the lowest vacancy rates for long term accommodation in Australia. All the best! Follow your dreams.

I never knew about this, that's pretty cool that all accommodation and flights etc are paid for. It would be a good experience but then you probably yearn to settle down in one place.

As far as I know you can't Locum within your state whilst working full time, I worked with someone who was working full time in QLD health then would drive to the NSW border to pick up Locum shifts there on days off

It's a disgrace that this many drs online keep mentioning they are exploring a career outside of medicine. In the future countries like the UK will have no Drs left, and you will have played a your role in that albeit a minor one.
I say this as a Dr who is also planning on leaving medicine but my point still stands, at least I don't have a large platform where I spread the idea.
Also thank you for the video sorry if this comment comes across as rude.

There are no platforms promoting suicide for depressed doctors and yet suicide rates amongst doctors are on a steady increase. The very reason for her platform is to share her life and career experiences and whether or not she indirectly promotes quitting medicine, people would quit nonetheless. Instead of pointing fingers here and there, how about u respect peoples choices on their lives? We have only one life and if this is how she chose to experience it, so be it. At the end of the day, Doctors are humans too and we are responsible for our own happiness irrespective of ethical opinions.

Someone must be looking after your kids for you to be able to do a regular training job. And it's her life, she wants flexibility, so she's working smart to get it. If you don't like your life, no need to criticise other people's.
