I was doing okay for awhile there during this playthrough; no real OMG! moments as I simply enjoyed a fairly predictable story, but then they had to go and get all humanity on me. Seeing Elle cry into her soup, thinking about all the shit she's been through in such a short period of time (losing the other Milla and then almost immediately afterwards, her father), and then that blank expression of complete emotional numbness. I've been at that low point where you feel like everything is completely meaningless, so seeing Elle like that just punched me right in the heart. Makes me grateful for that skit at the very end, I needed the laugh.
That last skit eases the pain of the previous feels. But GODDAMN OMEGA! THAT BOSS FIGHT WAS A ONE-SIDED SLAUGHTER Was this payback from the JP playthrough? Rekt his shit beyond bogus.
I know right?! When I saw the combat in the cutscenes I was surprised at how good they looked. Compare that to the newer titles and I’m disappointed at how they downgraded from that.

At around 3:24 I can't tell wether they're both so accurate they're stopping each other's bullets or wether both of them have terribly awful aim and can't hit a target at 3 inches

that ending was quite amusing when ludger said he was naked *blushing* tho i dont have problem with not at all. and the battle scene between ludger and victor with the kicking and the guns reminded me of bayonetta and jeanne. but over all chapter 12 was a sad chapter

Omega just has unreal combo game, don't feel bad haha. I pulled this off on Hard with smaller but still damaging combos and chromatus when I could and just dealt with having to dance around him a lot. What this fight doesn't show is how unbelievably intense Victor is when he's lower health, especially when he fires off his own chromatus

me too. Even though I played as Normal difficulties and ate food that increases your P Attack, P Defense, A Attack , A Defense by 25%, this dude destroyed me like more than thrice... I can never pull of something that amazing even though I never really get to play many of Tales series...
It hurts...........Its hurts so fucking bad man. The truth....the consequences.....the gravity of the situation and its impact on Ludger and Elle.....It broke me man. I hope the ending is worth all the pain and suffering. Tho.......That fight scene gets a 30/10, the chromatus powers are next-gen badass, and the humor was still dead on, but...........It still hurts Omega........It still hurts.... I have never felt more attached to a videogame character until I got to this part. I could relate to Elle, being as I have gone through losing my dad aswell. I wanted to just cry during this part of the game. :(
What I love about this game is that it's easy to see how you can full on be a pro at this game like unlock all the skills, fill all affinities to the max, select abilities on and ect. To where it's easy to understand and it's not hidden to where you need a guide. But to be a pro it takes the above average amount of time to invest. So when I see someone who really knows the game like this it really puts my investment into a perspective. On that fine line where I want to be this good and meh it's not worth it. Lol
Wow, I mean, I know this game had it's flaws, but this battle was just perfect. Build-up, execution, gameplay, and music, everything works marvelously. This is not only the best boss battle from any Tales game to date, which by itself is no small feat, but I'd even go so far as to call this one of the best bosses of all time.

If you choose "I can't kill my own self" Victor at the last second will grab Ludger's spear and impale himself on it, he will question Ludger's resolve asking him if he has what it takes to protect Elle and that he will need to do more to be able to do so.
I knew my heart was gonna sink-in during this Boss fight. Not only that, but we learn a lot, and I mean A LOT, too. Apparently, Victor is basically Ludger in the future plus of this Dimension & The Final Waymarker as well. And as explained in the last part, Elle is the Key or Kresnik too. But the fact that this Victor is a Fractured Dimension, that would mean that the Victor from the intro was from the future of the Prime Dimension. It's either that, or something else. It's kinda hard to tell. In the end however, it was just too much. And now I feel bad for Elle. Especially after seeing all this and even seeing the 2 men, including Jude, Milla & Rowen, fighting right in front of her like that. Don't know how she'll move on from that, including blaming Ludger for everything (Depending on what you choice for him to do) even if it's not his fault, but lets hope she doesn't hate Ludger for long...which she somewhat doesn't. She still have a long way to go in life, and I pray that her future, by your actions you give Ludger of course, Omega. But man, was that all intense. So far, I'm starting to see the right choices you've made thus far. I wish you Good Luck on it... which you already have by this point. Hehe! Also, a fun way to end this is some humor. The skit about Muzet ("The Truth About Muzet": Start at 22:00) and thinking she's naked the whole entire time was pretty funny to me! Good way to end this part, Omega! Whoa! We finally get to see both of Ludger's Mystic Artes for the first time. And they're called "Ritual of Destruction" (At 4:58) in his normal form & "Form Destroyer" (At 6:01) in his Chromatus form. Two powerful Artes for Ludger indeed. Glad I have him as my favorite character. Also, loved how they referenced what happened in Xillia 1 with Jude and his depression over Milla's death in the "Ludger & Elle" Skit (At 20:49). Least Milla knows of it now in this game. While sad as the situation here and in the last game was, this was still fun.

I have got to ask how the hell did you do that so easily even on hard mode? And how did switch so easily between weapons like that. I also only did my mystic arts once in transformed state...how do you pull it off. And i also noticed your timer on your transform state went by much slower then my does and i have all the skills checked at this point in the game. The transformation 'timer' doubles as your health bar, so if you're hit while in transformation, the timer rapidly decreases. Form Destroyer is only triggered if you're in transformation level 2 or 3, and by using the L1 + X arte (and holding it)
This is one of THE BEST example of usable combo against boss! I've been watching this video multiple times just to learn how to combo properly from sir "overpowered" omega. btw, when I'm practicing power combo against normal enemies, sometimes the power hits gauge suddenly depletes completely. where did I do wrong here? did my allies wreck my power combo? edit: btw, again, how come you could equip NINE ARTES on Dual Gun !!???? O.o 1. bubble blast 2. scatter bolt 3. zero divide 4. crossfire 5. arc fire 6. blaze bloom 7. rapid burst 8. migrating sparrow 9. AND REQUIEM !??
Darknez Angel Normally, yes, you're limited to 8 artes at a time (relating to the L analog stick along with L1), but after Chapter 7, a boss drops the Arte Sphere. ^This expands your limit to 16 artes (the other eight using R1 and R analog stick instead) :)
Only if I can combo like that with Ludger I would of not gotten screwed by this boss. Brought him down to 10k health and then he confuses all 4 characters and I lose. Screw confusion
I wish I had your combo game LOL. I always found this to be one of the hardest fights (along with Chronos 1 & 2)... Why? Elize keeps leaving the party (come to think of it, she's not even present for main story villains... Rideaux, Chronos or Victor) so I don't have Revive support or a reliable multi-target healer. ;~;

I have got to ask how the hell did you do that so easily even on hard mode? And how did switch so easily between weapons like that. I also only did my mystic arts once in transformed state...how do you pull it off. And i also noticed your timer on your transform state went by much slower then my does and i have all the skills checked at this point in the game.

The transformation 'timer' doubles as your health bar, so if you're hit while in transformation, the timer rapidly decreases. Form Destroyer is only triggered if you're in transformation level 2 or 3, and by using the L1 + X arte (and holding it)

This is one of THE BEST example of usable combo against boss! I've been watching this video multiple times just to learn how to combo properly from sir "overpowered" omega.
btw, when I'm practicing power combo against normal enemies, sometimes the power hits gauge suddenly depletes completely.
where did I do wrong here?

edit: btw, again, how come you could equip NINE ARTES on Dual Gun !!???? O.o

Darknez Angel Normally, yes, you're limited to 8 artes at a time (relating to the L analog stick along with L1), but after Chapter 7, a boss drops the Arte Sphere.
^This expands your limit to 16 artes (the other eight using R1 and R analog stick instead) :)
On the bright side, Ludger and Elle could do a really get mock-up of star wars episode 5.

Only if I can combo like that with Ludger I would of not gotten screwed by this boss. Brought him down to 10k health and then he confuses all 4 characters and I lose. Screw confusion

Elize keeps leaving the party (come to think of it, she's not even present for main story villains... Rideaux, Chronos or Victor) so I don't have Revive support or a reliable multi-target healer. ;~;
