Hello JC I just got a medium action ugly stick GX 2 spinning rod and I paid it up with a daiwa Laguna LT 4000-c spinning reel and I spoiled it up with 30lb braided fishing line is it a good choice for pier fishing 🎣 I'm going to be putting cut shrimp with a 1oz pyramid weight

Of course, I've actually been shore fishing for Snook with lures three times in a week, but haven't caught anything. It's tough out there...I have over 820 videos in my library, plenty of shore fishing in there.
Great video JC - much useful info. I tend to use 3000 & 4000 Shimano reels on my spinning reels here in the UK, plus I have an Okuma Baitrunner which comes into its own for float fishing. It does pay to bear in mind that some manufacturers reel sizes can vary quite a lot. Stay safe & well. 🎣🎣👍👍

My top tip is, you only live once, but top of the line setups. Makes fishing more fun even when you aren't catching.
How about one fishing combo that can do it all? Like pier fishing and surf fishing?
