Quick, simple, to the point. For 5 minutes of time people can get a full breakdown - what’s not to like!

This was very helpful, and interesting to watch. You answered my question, as to why my dragon wasn’t basking.
You and Thomas Griffiths help me tons. THANK YOU!

Im getting a dragon next month. So im trying to learn as much as i can in the mean time. Your very helpful. I do feel quite overwhelmed with making sure i have the right bulbs the correct distance ect.. but i have a Question. I live in spain. My apartment is south facing, so could my dragon bask in the actual sun primarily? (Im obviously going to have the correct set up for him. But as i said im trying to retain as much knowledge. I dont wanna mess up).
    Thanku 😊

If my bearded dragon does the gaping thing from time to time while under the basking lamp does it mean the potency is ok? I've got the exo terra 100W at 75%. I watched his body temp with a FLIR camera during gaping and his body was 38C (though I've also seen him 39C without gaping).

I’d set the lights up the same way, they want a similar basking spot but cooler air.

Except when your beardie goes undiagnosed with coccidia because the vet failed to find it the first visit, and your beardie boy refuses to bask, no matter how low the temperature. He's been treated for Coccidia about 6 months ago but never fully recovered. Only in the last few days he is slowly starting to bask again, and even then not basking properly. Stresses me out.

@@ReptilesandResearch We usually take him every 6 months and then also if there's anything wrong. The vet says he is healthy, and he is looking well but yeah... His behaviour is way off. But he seems to be making improvements over the last few days. I just want my beardie boy back 😢

@@ReptilesandResearch Update: after 9 long stressful months of my boy being lethargic, barely interested in food, not basking and hardly even walking, he's back! I thought he would never come back.
Now I'm not sure if it was a result of the coccidia or it was a super long extended brumation. The weird thing is, he started doing it in the middle of summer, only a few days after Christmas in Australia.
Have you ever heard of a beardie in a semi brumation for that long? Is that even possible?
He had been like that for so long, I thought he would have forgotten how to be a normal lizard. He was only just over a year old when he started acting weird so he has spent almost half his life being lethargic and not basking.
