How could you be a Catholic and yet be baptized again? There can only be one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. I’m happy for any Christian’s out there who believe inJesus but sad you will never be able to have the Eucharist thru Transubstantiation.

She’s a sweet girl. She reminds me of myself. I’m always thinking I won’t go to heaven because I didn’t pray enough, missed a day of reading the Bible, or because I don’t go to church, etc. And I always had that question like, “well how much am I *supposed* to pray to look good in Gods eyes?” And I was just so caught up on these little details that I didn’t realize it’s not by what I do, but what Jesus did that will save me. The Bible makes references to it several ways in places such as 2 Maccabees 12:41 -45, 1 Corinthians 3 11:15, Rev 21:27, and Matthew 5 23:26. It is not a mere interpretation of the Catholic Church and requires a bit of research to understand why these verses are there and what they mean. In the end, Catholics which are also Christian, and like everyone else, are just as much sinners and definitely look forward to the mercy of God for the forgiveness of sins. We too accept Jesus as our lord and savior and are greatful for His undeserving love.

I don't know about you, but even when I resist temptation, I still have desires in me to sin. I must be purified of that desire before I enter heaven. If you don't need it, straight to heaven you go, but otherwise I must be perfected (Matthew 5:48; Matthew 5:26) and I will be saved, but only as through fire (1 Cor 3:15) It may take a nanosecond or it may take longer, who knows how time works outside of the universe, but something will need to happen to me between the moment of my death and my suitability to enter into heaven. Think of C.S. Lewis' Great Divorce, where people must be solidified before going up the mountain.

I was just like this girl when I was young. I kept wondering how good is good enough? Then a friend took me to her Youth Group meeting where I watched the film, “A thief in the Night.” I immediately went home and accepted Christ at age 15. I am now 60 and have walked with him on this wild ride of life ever since.

Bible reading was relegated to the priests and nuns where I went to school. We were told what to believe, and as young children we accepted it. Thank you for the question. His kindness truly led me to repentance and a living relationship with the Lord. I was healed of asthma , something that I thought I would be stuck with all my life.. no more inhaler. Since inhalers have steroids, this is a big blessing to be off of it so I have no further health issues. No one but Jesus Christ of Nazareth healed me through a prayer of one believing woman of God. I was also baptized with the Holy Spirit and encounter His love for me. I’ve seen healings and people delivered from demons… things I thought were rare or impossible. It literally saved my life! I had suicidal thoughts, PTSD and now I’m healed. I’ll be forever grateful to the Lord for His healing! This all moved me to read the Bible and want to really know and serve Him because He is so good not because I had to … I went from seeing the Lord at a distance to right with me, walking though life’s good and tough moments. I want to tell everyone about Him.. That gave me a peace like live never had. So this is why I am a Christian because Christ changed my life. I was Catholic too. Then, at the age of 20, I went to church with a friend & it was a nondenominational church. I asked Jesus into my heart & He changed my life! I don't go to church I don't own any cross for I believe it's a idle. Anything man made for a religion that isn't the bible is a idle. You are to spend his word and help others. The Saints are the very embodiment of the beautitudes. The lived so closely to the teachings of Christ, it is honestly shocking and humbling. tried to ask questions about Catholicism to my roommate, she didn't know how to answer a lot of them, mostly just concluding "I grew up with it so I get it, but you didn't so you can't understand" then ended up crying as I asked more questions. Raised Catholic too, 21 years, but was witnessed to and drawn to Christ from 79-85. Got born again sometime in 85 and the Lord firmly convicted me not to go back to the Catholic church. No one else in my family responded to my witness over the years. The Catholic "church" can be a stronghold for many who attend, like the "world" itself. But if you move forward, keep a strong devotional life, faithful to church attendance, and love truth. You will with God's power stay free and be fruitful.

@@iceblaze3043 Well just a couple of things for you to think about. Protestants love to say that the thief on the cross was never baptized, but you guys can never provide any Biblical proof for that. In all actuality he probably was baptized, how else could he have known who Jesus was? He said, " Remember me when You come into Your Kingdom." How could he have known that Christ was God and his Savior without prior knowledge? Nobody preached the Gospel to him on the cross. And besides that, the age of the Church begins in the Book of Acts right down to this present day. You can not find a single person from the first page of the Book of Acts to the last page of the Book of Revelation where a person was saved without being Baptized. The definition of a sacrament is " An outward sign, of an inward Grace, that was instituted by Jesus Christ." The Bible makes it clear that we are saved by Grace, and Grace alone. Jesus makes it clear that we are saved by Faith and Baptism in Mark 16:16. Is this a contradiction? Peter makes it clear that our sins are not forgiven and we don't receive the Holy Spirit until we are baptized in Acts2:38. Is this a contradiction? Peter also makes it very clear in 1 Pt. 3:21 that " it is baptism that saves us now." Is this also a contradiction? So the only known way to receive Saving Grace is by way of Baptism, unless we live with the contradictions. So God gave us the ability to reason, and reason tells us that the Bible can not contradict itself. So if the Bible says that Baptism saves, then that would contradict where the Bible says that Grace saves. And that would contradict where it says that Faith saves. So how can we reconcile all of this. By using our ability to reason. Jesus gave us the answer. He said in Mark 16:16 " He who believes AND is Baptized will be saved. On that first Pentecost the crowd was cut to the heart by the Words that Peter preached on the Gospel. Those that came to believe asked what they must do in order to be saved, and Peter told that they MUST receive Baptism. And then later Peter said that it is Baptism that saves us now. So it is very plain to see from all of the Biblical evidence that Saving Grace can only be received in Baptism, or else what Christ and the Apostles taught makes no sense at all. Also consider that since Jesus instituted the Church 2000 years ago that this has been the constant teaching with no objection from the Protestants until the 16th century. The Bible says that the Church is the "pillar and ground of Truth" and the Church teaches the necessity of Baptism for Salvation. So it must be true.

You're right that God loves us! Unfortunately our sin separates us from him- he is holy & can't be near it. That's the awesomeness of Jesus is that he made a way for us to come back & get right with God. Imagine a dr. who is scruubbed up & ready in the operating room. We *can't* go in if we are all muddy, dirty, & crawling with bacteria. Someone would have to disinfect us before we can ever come in.

Except for minor spelling differences (like how in English, color used to be spelled colour, etc.), the 2000+ year-old copy of the book of Isaiah that they found (the only book that was 100% intact) was exactly the same as it is today. Scholars have always been SERIOUS when it came to perfectly copying the Bible. If they made the smallest mistake, they would destroy the entire page so as not to corrupt the Word of God.

The Romans pierced Jesus with a spear to ensure that he was dead. Jesus was buried in a tomb with a large stone sealing the entrance. There were Roman soldiers placed there to ensure the body was not moved. (The Romans were quite brutal, even to their own. Losing a prisoner or losing a dead body would've meant death for the soldiers.) When Jesus came out of the tomb 3 days after his death, the Roman Soldiers were so scared that they passed out from terror. Jesus was well known in Jerusalem. He was a troublemaker. People new what He looked like. Jesus walked around Jerusalem for about a month before ascending into heaven. (The Roman Soldiers guarding the tomb of Jesus were never punished. As a matter of fact none of the Romans that had anything to do with His death were not punished. Why not? Think about that long and hard.) Christianity grew vastly in that time after his death and before his ascension. If Jesus did not rise from the grave, Christianity would have died with Him. Why did Roman Soldiers convert to Christianity AFTER Jesus was crucified?

I’m always thinking I won’t go to heaven because I didn’t pray enough, missed a day of reading the Bible, or because I don’t go to church, etc. And I always had that question like, “well how much am I *supposed* to pray to look good in Gods eyes?” And I was just so caught up on these little details that I didn’t realize it’s not by what I do, but what Jesus did that will save me. Think of C.S. Lewis' Great Divorce, where people must be solidified before going up the mountain.

Joseph Essien-Obot , I grew up in the Catholic church and was taught from a young age that you had to be good to get to heaven. Bible reading was relegated to the priests and nuns where I went to school. We were told what to believe, and as young children we accepted it. As I grew older, I started to question the things we were taught, and that is where God met me and drew me to Himself.

I was healed of asthma , something that I thought I would be stuck with all my life.. no more inhaler. Since inhalers have steroids, this is a big blessing to be off of it so I have no further health issues. No one but Jesus Christ of Nazareth healed me through a prayer of one believing woman of God. I was also baptized with the Holy Spirit and encounter His love for me. I’ve seen healings and people delivered from demons… things I thought were rare or impossible. It literally saved my life! I had suicidal thoughts, PTSD and now I’m healed. I’ll be forever grateful to the Lord for His healing! This all moved me to read the Bible and want to really know and serve Him because He is so good not because I had to … I went from seeing the Lord at a distance to right with me, walking though life’s good and tough moments. I want to tell everyone about Him.. That gave me a peace like live never had. So this is why I am a Christian because Christ changed my life. I just met the Lord and I am so grateful… words cannot truly express it but I tried :) I pray you all have a wonderful , blessed day! May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you and all your family! 🙏🏻🕊

I dont think anybody can go wrong by giving their life to Jesus, because once you do that, you will also want to obey his teaching. 1. How can a fully corrupt organization produce people like the Saints. The Saints are the very embodiment of the beautitudes. The lived so closely to the teachings of Christ, it is honestly shocking and humbling. They are the standard set for us and should never ever be forgotten. Look at the life of St. Joan d'Arc.. it's literally impossible to not believe in God after reading her story. I will gladly lean on her judgement and the Saint's than my own, a selfseeking sinner.

3. The place I come from, it is impossible to see the CC as an evil anti-christ organization. The people here are literally living off of the firm foundation built by the CC in the early days. Education, health care and a true virtuous way of living was introduced and preached by the catholic church. How can such Godly things come from such a bad organization. The CC have carried my people's burdens, not any other church.
4. What doctrines are you talking about exactly? I actually want to research about it. The Eucharist is entirely biblical and only the CC have enshrined it.
The point I am trying to make is... considering all the innumerable good done by the CC, it is irrational and frankly foolish to conclude that it is a corrupt evil organization. It has scandals, sure, but so do you and me. And are we eternally condemned for it?
tried to ask questions about Catholicism to my roommate, she didn't know how to answer a lot of them, mostly just concluding "I grew up with it so I get it, but you didn't so you can't understand" then ended up crying as I asked more questions. So the truth is that a lot of people that walk this planet have scales over their eyes. Not seeing the truth is a wide spread symptom of what is wrong here in this country lately. I don't call it brianwashing but just what people grew up believing. We have but one short life to get it right as we live on this planet. Raised Catholic too, 21 years, but was witnessed to and drawn to Christ from 79-85. Got born again sometime in 85 and the Lord firmly convicted me not to go back to the Catholic church. No one else in my family responded to my witness over the years. The Catholic "church" can be a stronghold for many who attend, like the "world" itself. But if you move forward, keep a strong devotional life, faithful to church attendance, and love truth. You will with God's power stay free and be fruitful.

@@iceblaze3043 Well just a couple of things for you to think about. Protestants love to say that the thief on the cross was never baptized, but you guys can never provide any Biblical proof for that. In all actuality he probably was baptized, how else could he have known who Jesus was? He said, " Remember me when You come into Your Kingdom." How could he have known that Christ was God and his Savior without prior knowledge? Nobody preached the Gospel to him on the cross. And besides that, the age of the Church begins in the Book of Acts right down to this present day. You can not find a single person from the first page of the Book of Acts to the last page of the Book of Revelation where a person was saved without being Baptized.
The definition of a sacrament is " An outward sign, of an inward Grace, that was instituted by Jesus Christ." The Bible makes it clear that we are saved by Grace, and Grace alone. Jesus makes it clear that we are saved by Faith and Baptism in Mark 16:16. Is this a contradiction? Peter makes it clear that our sins are not forgiven and we don't receive the Holy Spirit until we are baptized in Acts2:38. Is this a contradiction? Peter also makes it very clear in 1 Pt. 3:21 that " it is baptism that saves us now." Is this also a contradiction? So the only known way to receive Saving Grace is by way of Baptism, unless we live with the contradictions. So God gave us the ability to reason, and reason tells us that the Bible can not contradict itself. So if the Bible says that Baptism saves, then that would contradict where the Bible says that Grace saves. And that would contradict where it says that Faith saves. So how can we reconcile all of this. By using our ability to reason. Jesus gave us the answer. He said in Mark 16:16 " He who believes AND is Baptized will be saved. On that first Pentecost the crowd was cut to the heart by the Words that Peter preached on the Gospel. Those that came to believe asked what they must do in order to be saved, and Peter told that they MUST receive Baptism. And then later Peter said that it is Baptism that saves us now. So it is very plain to see from all of the Biblical evidence that Saving Grace can only be received in Baptism, or else what Christ and the Apostles taught makes no sense at all. Also consider that since Jesus instituted the Church 2000 years ago that this has been the constant teaching with no objection from the Protestants until the 16th century. The Bible says that the Church is the "pillar and ground of Truth" and the Church teaches the necessity of Baptism for Salvation. So it must be true.

Should they go to hell since they have never been baptized and even on their potential death bed can't be baptized.

Except for minor spelling differences (like how in English, color used to be spelled colour, etc.), the 2000+ year-old copy of the book of Isaiah that they found (the only book that was 100% intact) was exactly the same as it is today.
Scholars have always been SERIOUS when it came to perfectly copying the Bible. If they made the smallest mistake, they would destroy the entire page so as not to corrupt the Word of God.

@Jebran Safidchehri Then why are more Muslims converting to Christianity? If Christianity was not true, then it would've died with Jesus. The Romans were brutal and had perfercted crucifixion. The Romans pierced Jesus with a spear to ensure that he was dead. Jesus was buried in a tomb with a large stone sealing the entrance. There were Roman soldiers placed there to ensure the body was not moved. (The Romans were quite brutal, even to their own. Losing a prisoner or losing a dead body would've meant death for the soldiers.) When Jesus came out of the tomb 3 days after his death, the Roman Soldiers were so scared that they passed out from terror. Jesus was well known in Jerusalem. He was a troublemaker. People new what He looked like. Jesus walked around Jerusalem for about a month before ascending into heaven. (The Roman Soldiers guarding the tomb of Jesus were never punished. As a matter of fact none of the Romans that had anything to do with His death were not punished. Why not? Think about that long and hard.) Christianity grew vastly in that time after his death and before his ascension. If Jesus did not rise from the grave, Christianity would have died with Him. Why did Roman Soldiers convert to Christianity AFTER Jesus was crucified?
