I was privileged to see the last stop of Yanni's, Live at the Acropolis concert tour in Seattle, WA. May 1997. He had all the the original principals from the concert performed at the Parthenon in Greece. Darlene and Lynn as the Aria duo vocals transcended perfection. I have seen Yanni live 5 times, but Live at the Acropolis concert by far is one my most treasured experiences. I have the original release of the CD and the DVD of the concert.
I'm so in love with this Duo Aria. I have heard many times from various artists. Lisa Lavie and Lauren Jelencovich or Anna Nebtrebko and Elina Garanca are fantastic!
Sometimes there are events that feed the soul. The Acropolis concert is such an occurrence. But even in these majestic events, there are truly ethereal and spiritual moments. So it was Aria's duet. "Celestial Voice," this particular piece of music is called "The Flower Duet" ... and it's an Aryan opera. Yanni gets lost in his ... Yanni's songs and melodies are perfect beyond a nice human being. I love this Greek, of an incredible musical sensitivity !!

My thought is the best version of this is from 'Yanni, Live at the Acropolys'. There was an absolutely stunning blond young lady that sang the lead who's voivlce was like the clearest crystal ever. Her equally stunning counterpart also had an amazing voice for the secondary part and their two voices complimented each other's so well that it was just magic. It's very hard to find that performance and the original VHS copy of the show didn't include this which is why I actually bought it. You may find it somewhere on here, but if you try to save it, it shows up 'unavailable.'
I absolutely love that version.

I agree with you. The 1992 recording in the Acropolis is the best. This blonde is the wonderful Darlene Koldenhoven. Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the second singer. Maybe someone knows?

Aria" is a 1975 song composed by Dario Baldan Bembo (music) and Sergio Bardotti (lyrics). But he did play it at his famous Acropolis concert.
