I did say his chain looked too tight about a month ago!! In the video when I was on the ktm. This is a good point because at was around then when he started to notice it a lot more. Nice one, we will have a look at it before we next go out… after this sh*t storm we seem to be having 😁👍🏼
@@Mancs1000r yeah i had vibrations all over the bike and a tell tale sign is a loud noise coming from the chain ie the faster i went the more vibrations i got all sorted now :P
Concerning the handle bar vibrations. Here's a tip I picked up some time ago. You need proper bar end weights to cancel the vibs. That's what bar ends were made for. Those bar end mirrors look cool, but they don't have any weight. Check out a sports tourer or any tourer, and you'll notice proper bar end weights made of steel not alu. Clip-ons don't suffer those vibrations as much as handle bars. The reason why it wasn't noticed on the S1000RR. Hope this helps.
Hi, thanks for the comment, We have had a few people suggest putting bar end weights on which I think if he keeps the bike, he would do. BMW should have sorted this problem straight from the factory rather than letting the customers find and solve the problem, especially on there top of the range M bike. I have seen in different groups that it’s not effecting all bikes but I’d say it was on the majority. Thankyou for watching and giving feedback 😁👍🏼
To Baz: The torque value for the handlebar bolts/screws is 19Nm (as seen on Wunderlich risers). Any fixes for the vibrations that you have found? I am considering using the 20mm riser on my M1000R but after hearing how bad it is I'm not sure it's even worth trying. Maybe adding a few rounds of electrical tape around the risers, so it acts like a cushion? Not sure if that would do anything tho.

Hi Guys 100% it vibrates really bad!!! I had my iPhone on the bars on a SP bar mount without the vibration mount and it destroyed the camera on the phone from the vibration one on 1 ride But what helps the vibration your hands/ fingers put grip puppies on they help big time, I couldn't ride mine without it
Yeah we heard about the grip puppies in the next video. This should not be a solution for a 24k bike though, it should be sorted from new or bmw figure out some kind of fix for it. Apart from this the bike is mint 😁👍🏼

It can't be the sprocket. It happens when the bike is not in gear and stood still. Starts at 4k revs. But you are correct. It does have a different sprocket and gearing ratios It's such a shame. The bike is great.

Interesting thoughts on bar risers. I'm running a s1000r and just bought a set of 25mm risers. Hopefully this will not make vibration any worse.
They will probably be ok on the s1000r, he had them on his s1000r before he got the m1000r and they were absolutely fine 😊👍🏼
