I planted 19 plants on my 19th birthday this year, even though I live at Delhi, but my hometown is at Kullu, Himachal Pradesh. My mom waters them everyday, and while doing so she sends the photo of those plants in the family group. They’re growing very fast, and the happiness you feel when they start growing is unexplainable. Thank you Abhi and Niyu, I respect you guys a lot, and I’m really influenced by the way you people think! Keep up the good work! (Also my birthday was in Feb and I haven’t visited my hometown since then, I’m going back for Diwali though, so let’s see how much they have grown) :)

i have been living in Delhi NCR for 4 years now , earlier i used to live in Madhya Pradesh , after coming here i am coughing more frequently , i appreciate that you showed the truth about Delhi and NCR 's pollution . Diwali - Deep Ujwalan + Pujan + Socialising + historical story of bhagwan Holi - Colours + Prahlad story and much more.......... I do agree that celebs just do one-sided awareness and which in turn is used by anti people and culture is exploited. I've stopped burning crackers since 2018 and excess water usage as well. I follow my culture more than following self-made harming ceremonies which aren't even related to us.
I am currently living in Germany. Here people prefer public transports to the private. Many people use bicycles or electric scooters..In India, people don't like to use Public transport. I myself rarely used it when I was in India. Owing a private vehicle is kind of status in India. People really should start using public transports as much as possible.

Unless each one of us takes some steps to spread awareness about the harm caused by air pollution every year, Indians have to pay a high value for it. For so many years its potrayed that diwali crackers are causing pollution when the fact is it only contributes minimal. Delhi's air is polluted beyond safe levels without even a single cracker lit!! It would have made sense to ban crackers when steps were taken to control the major sources- Parali burning, factories, construction work and automobiles. No step taken in that direction and they come straight for the diwali crackers, not even unbiased in that apparently New year's crackers are ok for pollution. I see how bursting crackers can make situation difficult in the evening for a short duration in a limited area,.. but still it comes to the inefficiency of the government to control major contributors and making it difficult for public to celebrate diwali. We are paying the cost of ineffectiveness of state government, and somehow blame is ours?
Why only Hindu festivals are targetted by Green peace warriors ? In hyderabad 5300 tonnes of carcasses are thrown during festival of sacrifice and GHMC doesn’t know what to do with so much animal waste ? In the city of Bengaluru alone - 4 lakhs Animals are Killed on Eid which includes 10000 Large animals like Cattle and Camels. It generates 1700 tonnes of animal waste which is just buried in pits near Kogilu on the city outskirts. For 14 lakh Muslims in Bengaluru - 4 lakh Animals killed. Even if one Animal weighs 10 kg then can an average person eat 3 kg meat on single day ? And mind you this includes kids and infants also. So most of the meat goes waste though people might claim we give it to poor. If you conflate this number to whole of India then imagine the number of Animals killed on the single day ? For 200 millon it must be at least 20 millon Animals. And 200 millon kgs of Meat and staggering 8 billon kgs of Green House gases or Carbon dioxide and we are not even calculating the lakhs of tonnes of bio waste generated. And now conflate this number to the whole world. It is 200 million Animals 80 billion kg of CO2. Now let us come to Thanks Giving in USA - 45 million Turkeys are killed. Christmas in US - 25 million Turkeys are killed. In US 30 million trees are chopped off every year to make Christmas Tree.Which is huge pollution generator .And 50 million artificial trees are used which is made of plastic and is even more polluting. On Independence Day July 4th USA uses 1 billion Worth of fire crackers which is 5 times more than what India uses in an whole year. Chinese use more times more firecrackers on Chinese New Year alone that what US does on July 4. World wide on New year billions Worth Fire crackers are used Hindu festivals are the only Eco Friendly festivals on Earth. As most of Hindus eat only Vegetarian food on festivals Other wise every other religion the meat is the most important item on a festival or any celebration. But when it comes to narrative it is only Hindu festivals which are being maligned as polluting Holi - Water Pollution so water less Holi Ganesh - Sea or River Pollution So Green Ganesh Dussehra - Riots/ sexual abuse so don’t go dandia or no Durga Idol immersion Diwali - Air Pollution so no fire crackers Have you seen any one raising topic of Pollution on Christmas New year or Eid? Hello Abhi and Niyu I am from haryana we have 12 acre land but we never ever do stubble burning even my family is very awared of increasing pollution the thing we do is tht we mix the stubble into the soil and it makes it more fertile also we dump or mix the organic waste also in land such as tree leaves. BTW you both are doing very great work may be all the people will not follow these solution but some like me will do definitely. The only channel that gives me hope in such a dire situation! 🤍 I LOVE using the metro ✨🫰🏻 (always taking precautions but yes) probably wouldn't feel safe & comfortable traveling from A to B if it weren't for the Delhi Metro 🩵 couldn't be more happy about that....however, sometimes being born into Gen Z feels so demoralizing, especially when I begin to ponder about the environmental conditions we're growing up with. It almost feels like the end of the world! If it weren't for Niyu, Abhi and Team; the worry would, I'm sure consume many young people like me who can't bear to look at the state of Delhi! Being a student of Biology and lover of nature, it breaks my heart to the core. I really wish instead of this blame game, those in power actually work to solve the root cause! 🥺🤞🏻🙏🏻 And would continue to do all in my power to minimize pollution at a personal level!

In the past, I would annually allocate funds for purchasing fireworks during Diwali; however, this year, I am embracing a new resolution to invest those funds in acquiring plants for my house, elevating the significance of my celebration.
I hope this reaches each one of us and we start taking actions like not using personal vehicle if possible to start with. Also, we should start planting trees. The change should start from us.
If you really want to celebrate diwali, than instead of buying crackers buy plants as much as you can plants those trees in your surroundings wherever you find a place, take care of those plants until they grow up, and prey to good to keep us and our home 🌎 healthy ....

I do agree that celebs just do one-sided awareness and which in turn is used by anti people and culture is exploited. I've stopped burning crackers since 2018 and excess water usage as well. I follow my culture more than following self-made harming ceremonies which aren't even related to us.

I am currently living in Germany. Here people prefer public transports to the private. Many people use bicycles or electric scooters..In India, people don't like to use Public transport. I myself rarely used it when I was in India. Owing a private vehicle is kind of status in India.
People really should start using public transports as much as possible.
Such solution-oriented, informative videos are really the need of the hour. Unless each one of us takes some steps to spread awareness about the harm caused by air pollution every year, Indians have to pay a high value for it.

Delhi's air is polluted beyond safe levels without even a single cracker lit!!
It would have made sense to ban crackers when steps were taken to control the major sources- Parali burning, factories, construction work and automobiles. No step taken in that direction and they come straight for the diwali crackers, not even unbiased in that apparently New year's crackers are ok for pollution.
I see how bursting crackers can make situation difficult in the evening for a short duration in a limited area,.. but still it comes to the inefficiency of the government to control major contributors and making it difficult for public to celebrate diwali. We are paying the cost of ineffectiveness of state government, and somehow blame is ours?

In the city of Bengaluru alone - 4 lakhs Animals are Killed on Eid which includes 10000 Large animals like Cattle and Camels.
It generates 1700 tonnes of animal waste which is just buried in pits near Kogilu on the city outskirts.
For 14 lakh Muslims in Bengaluru - 4 lakh Animals killed.
Even if one Animal weighs 10 kg then can an average person eat 3 kg meat on single day ?
And mind you this includes kids and infants also.
So most of the meat goes waste though people might claim we give it to poor.
If you conflate this number to whole of India then imagine the number of Animals killed on the single day ?
For 200 millon it must be at least 20 millon Animals.
And 200 millon kgs of Meat and staggering 8 billon kgs of Green House gases or Carbon dioxide and we are not even calculating the lakhs of tonnes of bio waste generated.
And now conflate this number to the whole world.
It is 200 million Animals 80 billion kg of CO2.
Now let us come to Thanks Giving in USA - 45 million Turkeys are killed.
Christmas in US - 25 million Turkeys are killed.
In US 30 million trees are chopped off every year to make Christmas Tree.Which is huge pollution generator .And 50 million artificial trees are used which is made of plastic and is even more polluting.
On Independence Day July 4th USA uses 1 billion Worth of fire crackers which is 5 times more than what India uses in an whole year.
Chinese use more times more firecrackers on Chinese New Year alone that what US does on July 4. World wide on New year billions Worth Fire crackers are used
Hindu festivals are the only Eco Friendly festivals on Earth. As most of Hindus eat only Vegetarian food on festivals
Other wise every other religion the meat is the most important item on a festival or any celebration.
But when it comes to narrative it is only Hindu festivals which are being maligned as polluting

Ganesh - Sea or River Pollution So Green Ganesh

Hello Abhi and Niyu I am from haryana we have 12 acre land but we never ever do stubble burning even my family is very awared of increasing pollution the thing we do is tht we mix the stubble into the soil and it makes it more fertile
also we dump or mix the organic waste also in land such as tree leaves.
BTW you both are doing very great work may be all the people will not follow these solution but some like me will do definitely.

The only channel that gives me hope in such a dire situation! 🤍 I LOVE using the metro ✨🫰🏻 (always taking precautions but yes) probably wouldn't feel safe & comfortable traveling from A to B if it weren't for the Delhi Metro 🩵 couldn't be more happy about that....however, sometimes being born into Gen Z feels so demoralizing, especially when I begin to ponder about the environmental conditions we're growing up with.
