Exactly. This just describes trading: supply and demand. In fact, it attempts to add yet another (unnecessary) word to the lexicon: "SMC traps" (AKA: supply or demand). The fact is volume has been in decline for around 6-mths now, lots of strats are struggling. With ADRs so low, scalping-type strats are where most of the fun is. If you're needing to trade the 1-min timeframe, you're in this category; but watch it.
i use VIX for High volatility can sometimes coincide with decreased liquidity, as market participants may become more hesitant to trade when uncertainty is high. This can lead to wider bid-ask spreads and increased costs of executing trades, which can affect overall market liquidity. and DXY can also reflect shifts in broader market sentiment and risk appetite. For example, a strengthening dollar may indicate a flight to safety or risk-off sentiment among investors, leading to declines in risk assets like stocks and cryptocurrencies. espacially bitcoin has an inverse relation indicating when dollar is strong the it becomes a safety net money. from bitcoin, it flows back in to the dollar.
No strategy always works, this is the truth. We should focus more on our risk management and money management. And we should calculate our profits and losses based on a long-term view.
Of course you can, otherwise traders wouldnt exist. As long as you have a trade, risk and drawdown management perfect you can get profitable from of any strategy, if it makes sense. Of course this is a non sense to buy if you think the market is drawing a dinosaur, because nobody is going to enter the same trade on the same place for the same reason as you. SMC is basic because when the founder of SMC gave out the information, he gave out only basic information so if someone wanted to make youtube videos and steal what they learned, they will only have basic information so they know the concept but they dont know everything about the concept, when SMC is taught it will make a new trader think you can enter on any order block or fair value gap, but that is not true you have to pick specific ob and fvg, if you fail long enough you would think it is a smart money trap, but the trap was where you got your information.
I have been Trading SMC since one year and iam Profitable with that strategy. The point is, SMC does not work on such lower Timeframes, i only works with confluence of the higher timeframes. The second reason why SMC Traders fail is because they don’t even know were swing highs/lows are, manipulation will occur in between internal structure most of the times, but if you are able to identify the Swing Structure you will make a lot of Profits using SMC. At the end of the day every strategy works, what does not work are the Traders themselves!

I am new to SMC, so far what I've learned, the most confusing part is when I identify swing points on 1 Hr and inducement/BOS happens, but on entry time frame of 15m, inducement/BOS forms in the opposite direction. Then I get confused where price is gonna go.
Bro you hit the nail on the head, but if you think about it, if SMC was working a couple of years ago and the markets caught up with the strategy, then means that if you give out your strategy and everybody starts using it then the same thing is going to happen again.
To say SMC doesn't work anymore that's why I don't trade it, is to say Supply, Demand and Liquidity don't work anymore, it doesn't make sense. There are valid zones and invalid zones, that's it.

This is simply this: Work to trade with price not against price. Don't sit at a demand zone waiting for the falling knife, nor should you sit at a supply zone waiting for a shooting bullet. No! Ride with price until it changes on the 5M or 1 M.
Most of what you label as SMT is what would an amateur SMC take, but NOT an experienced one. Hence, what you're really inducing here is not SMC trading stops that supposedly stopped working, but inexperienced amateur PATTERN traders. Are these patterns triangles, wedges, flags or MSSs, doesn't matter. What you mean as SMT is pattern traders trading patterns for the patterns sake, without any context. If you like to label it as smart money, sure you can, but it's just lowest level of market dynamics understanding pattern traders.

I think it’s better trade from higher time frame to lower time frame. I use smc in forex and gold. I don’t have problem on that. Start from daily h4 and h1. I’ll make sure my zone will be less than 20 or 10 pips and use atr to set my SL.
SMC is too loud on small timeframes I personally use 30M as my entry timeframe and its just perfect..what matters is knowing your TRADING PERSONALITY to know whats good/bad for uu psychologically... But I love the video bro...do more details about traps...so useful

I feel like it still works for like 1:2 profit. The bigger RR you’d need to watch out for SMTs but if you’re scalping I don’t see any problem with regular concepts

the best pattern was and always will be the Bull Flag with exhaustion creatin lower high and lower low. You just enter on the 3rd low , if that low is at support it even provides better probability. This pattern is great for a swing on 4H chart

This is very true, I know several traders who have been consistently profitable for decades in my country (Indonesia) who only use the simple Support and Resistance method, or only use candles/chart patterns or even use only the EMA indicator. Until now they have not changed their trading method. Forex trading is not just about methods but how to maintain mentality not be greedy and emotional, and remain disciplined in maintaining money management.

Nice video what I've often asked is with all these vidoe's from traders on YOutube that are out there telling us about smart money traps, are not the smart money makers also aware of this information and will change their strategies to continue to fool the retail traders?
Basically whenever there is movement around some pivot points (you analyze who will be in most pain, if it runs either low or high - by analyizing which direction has more liquidity trapped)
i noticed this when i switched to futures and started a funded challenge. market seems to barely stop out those traders and target order blocks/ imbalances above or below where smc traders would enter.

This is so true. What I do now, is I buy or sell on my supposed "stop loss" areas. Institutions are doing "stop loss hunting". Whatever your method is just plot where you usually put your stop loss, and buy or sell on those stop loss areas instead. Ofcourse I use other confluences as well.

I trade SMC but never in lower timeframes, and I think you're right it's more difficult to trade in lower timeframe because of the traps. But in higher timeframe Smart money still need to accumulate their positions, because of liquidity also carry trading etc... Sorry for my English I'm French. There are times when chart pattern/indicator /retail strategies work very well, but then years later those are manipulated many times, but still many traders used these strategy, my point is that you dont need to change your strategy but you've to improve and adapt your strategy, I'm a smc trader too and i want to advice smc traders that they need to learn liquidity concept very well such as inducement /smt /ssl/bsl etc, real smc traders didn't trade every supply and demand... Adaptability is the key

Are these patterns triangles, wedges, flags or MSSs, doesn't matter.
What you mean as SMT is pattern traders trading patterns for the patterns sake, without any context. If you like to label it as smart money, sure you can, but it's just lowest level of market dynamics understanding pattern traders.

I think it’s better trade from higher time frame to lower time frame. I use smc in forex and gold. I don’t have problem on that. Start from daily h4 and h1. I’ll make sure my zone will be less than 20 or 10 pips and use atr to set my SL.
Mines fixed SL 4hr and 1hr execution. I will do 5/10Rs based off these trades for tighter entries on 15m

SMC is too loud on small timeframes I personally use 30M as my entry timeframe and its just perfect..what matters is knowing your TRADING PERSONALITY to know whats good/bad for uu psychologically...

If u master one pair there is will be very easy to identity these traps by backtesting again and again. Backtesting is most effective thing i ever found . By backtesting all your confusions will be cleared
I feel like it still works for like 1:2 profit. The bigger RR you’d need to watch out for SMTs but if you’re scalping I don’t see any problem with regular concepts

anything before 9:45 is usually just a bunch of manipulation time is more important than price the market shows it’s hand consistently just have to have patience to execute quality setups along with quality times. great video though 🔥
the best pattern was and always will be the Bull Flag with exhaustion creatin lower high and lower low. You just enter on the 3rd low , if that low is at support it even provides better probability. This pattern is great for a swing on 4H chart

Brother , you bring a tremendous amount of complexity in trading when basics are still far more profitable than any modern day trading concepts. Who truly respects and trades and trusts the VWAP? that is one example of simple trading. Losing as a trader is not all about technique Waqar. It’s so much about approach mentally and emotionally before market open. It’s about learning to manage your expectations and manage uncertainty.
I would disagree completely. The basics is what everyone who’s not profitable follows. And technical competence always comes before trying to master the mind. Strong psychology and weak technicals will not be profitable
This is very true, I know several traders who have been consistently profitable for decades in my country (Indonesia) who only use the simple Support and Resistance method, or only use candles/chart patterns or even use only the EMA indicator. Until now they have not changed their trading method. Forex trading is not just about methods but how to maintain mentality not be greedy and emotional, and remain disciplined in maintaining money management.

I traded all this moves. you just need to know that your M15 Swing was bullish ( I personally dont consider BOS with shadows ) you were able to catch all these buys considering liquidities of a low was hunted and pro trend has been started. Nice video what I've often asked is with all these vidoe's from traders on YOutube that are out there telling us about smart money traps, are not the smart money makers also aware of this information and will change their strategies to continue to fool the retail traders?
Basically whenever there is movement around some pivot points (you analyze who will be in most pain, if it runs either low or high - by analyizing which direction has more liquidity trapped)

i noticed this when i switched to futures and started a funded challenge. market seems to barely stop out those traders and target order blocks/ imbalances above or below where smc traders would enter.
The market will continue to evolve - if you can’t keep evolving , know when to quit.

This is so true. What I do now, is I buy or sell on my supposed "stop loss" areas. Institutions are doing "stop loss hunting". Whatever your method is just plot where you usually put your stop loss, and buy or sell on those stop loss areas instead. Ofcourse I use other confluences as well.

I trade SMC but never in lower timeframes, and I think you're right it's more difficult to trade in lower timeframe because of the traps. But in higher timeframe Smart money still need to accumulate their positions, because of liquidity also carry trading etc... Sorry for my English I'm French. It's my personal opinion but every trader has to find his edge on the market

There are times when chart pattern/indicator /retail strategies work very well, but then years later those are manipulated many times, but still many traders used these strategy, my point is that you dont need to change your strategy but you've to improve and adapt your strategy, I'm a smc trader too and i want to advice smc traders that they need to learn liquidity concept very well such as inducement /smt /ssl/bsl etc, real smc traders didn't trade every supply and demand... Adaptability is the key
