Totally understand how you feel Pauline, the bit about going back to the hospice is how I feel everytime I go back to the little cottage hospital my dad passed away in. I have been back many occasions for my own health & my hubby's & still after 26 years it feels like I'm going back to the place where my dad is. Cancer is cruel & to watch your loved one have to cope with what it does to them is heart breaking. Thanks for sharing & it does get better with time. Cherish those lovely memories as they will help you xx

Thought I would share with you my dad got diagnosed with cancer within 4 weeks my dad passed . Then 3 months to the day of losing dad mum passed away in her sleep I found it really hard to cope with but I was having my second baby that was 20 years ago . I still talk to them both xxx
I’ve always said that time is a great great healer... yes they are in your thoughts every single day it’s was 6 years ago in January that we lost my mum ... my lovely mum suffered for years with dementia so in a way we’d lost her way before she actually past ... then 2 years ago my mother in law past away suddenly went into hospital for a stomach ulcer and unfortunately died on the operating table .... when my dad gave me some of my mums ashes I had a pendant made with some of them plus I had them added to a memorial tattoo I’ve got on my wrist that simply says mum
I lost my mom just over 6 years ago and my dad just over 2 years ago there isn't a day that passes that i don't think of them, I have many things left of them, they were real good parents couldn't wish for better there's lots of things I think of from my child hood I remember
