    You could also go up to departures from inside the airport terminal, then out from departures to the metro and rail terminal

    Good job!
    Just a detail, X97 bus doesn’t go to the beach, only to Elliniko metro station. And there are some other buses that go to the beach. I doubt someone would go from the airport directly to the beach.
    Also, quite important note: if you travel with a big suitcase, be careful if you’re taking metro. There are gangs of pickpockets on that line focused on tourists. I’d always recommend taking the bus instead because of this. Several of my friends and colleagues have been robbed on their way from or to the airport on the metro.

    • @ToGoIsToKnow
      @ToGoIsToKnow  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the clarification of the X97.
      I agree that the bus may be better because of the pickpockets. I almost got pickpocketed by a group of them at Kato Patissia a few years back.

    When I went through that airport it was horrible.
    That was 25 years ago.
    Glad to see they remodeled it.
    Flew TWA
    First time I ever walked on the tarmac.
    And another intimidating event was walking through the Guards or regular army and walk a couple feet in front of a cannon colored blue.
    Just heard him say was built in 2000.
    I'm 95 you could smoke on the TWA international flights.
    I'm ready to go back.

      The train is more roomy but can be harder if you have to walk with a lot of luggage and change trains. If the bus was going exactly to my final destination, I would take it. If I still had to change to a train after getting off the bus, then I would just take the train from the airport.

    I was there today (3 years later) bloody overpriced food at the Airport. I tried getting on the Red train Ellinko line from Omonia square with the idea to catch the blue train to the Airport from Syntagma (where you need to change to go to the Airport) The trains were packed sollid , I had to force my way on literally pushing people to make way for me and my bags, it was packed solid until Syntgma and then the blue train to the Aiport was also packed solid again, it slowwly eased off as each stop was made towards the Aiport but at Doukisises Plakentias stop ht etrain just stopped and everyone had to get off, I was a little stressed as the message came over in Greek and I had no idea what I was supposed to do, I suspect I was not on the right Aiport train ? even though it was labeled Aiport. It might be a lot better coming from the Airport to Syntagma but certainly not the other way round, I wont be doing that again.

      I prefer the bus to Syntagma than the train because you practicly go to the same place, take about the same time and you don't need to carry your luggage up and down to stairs . The bus is more convenient, right out of the door, and stops in an also convenient spot from where you can easily take a taxi or sth to go on.
