Fiesta Texas is my home park, and going to other Six Flags reminds me I'm spoiled. It's always a beautiful visit, and Iron Rattler is the best coaster in a state full of great coasters.
One of the reasons I will always love Fiesta: so many good rides all packed into a reletively small area. The park grounds aren't massive or anything, but they are dense with thrill rides of all kinds
@@caddion22s absolutely! Although I personally avoid Seaworld because of their treatment of the whales they have, but I won’t deny that it’s a great park!
I loved this park so much when I visited it two weeks ago. Superman shocked me. I knew it was many people’s favorite floorless but I was not prepared for just how good it would be. Great drops, great inversions, and it even manages some airtime. I ended up preferring it over Wonder Woman, which was tons of fun and as aggressive as advertised. Iron Rattler was still the star of the park, especially for the two big drops. I was worried about the pacing on top of the wall but thought it ran well up there on my rides. If anything, I would have liked a few more elements after the final drop. But it’s still around my 12th-15th favorite steel coaster. It’s so good.
If you define pacing as speed alone, Iron Rattler suffers. If you define pacing as how engaging the ride is, the top section is good because it keeps throwing nice elements at you.
As a father now taking my son to Fiesta Texas. I’m proud to see how this park as evolved in my opinion to be “the best” Six Flags in America. As a native Texan we make a yearly trip to Fiesta Texas. Can’t wait for Cliffhanger 🎢
Since my visit in March of 2013, my favorite ride there is Superman: Krypton Coaster followed by Sky Screamer, Road Runner Express, Bugs Bunny White Water Rapids, The Gully Washer, Goliath, Poltergeist, Boomerang: Coast to Coaster, Power Surge and Pandemonium.
The one great thing about Iron Rattler is the back seat experience. The momentum of the train pulls you up and over the crest of the first drop way faster then expected, it easily gives an extra 5 mph of speed going into the drop and you get ejected like a rocket. It’s an amazing experience and one every enthusiast will enjoy.
The original rattler was the best! Didn’t get to ride before they cut the top off, but it was longer on the canyon. 3 full turns up there. And the curve after you come up from the first drop, before u got into the inversion, that section looked massive with the wooden structure. The whole thing would shake and move with the carts. It looked scary af lol. Amazeballs.
I’m so lucky to have this as my home park. I can tell that six flags has been paying attention to it, especially since they’re hyping up a possible new elite coaster.
I always think of SFFT as being analogous to Knotts Berry Farm in terms of the unique role that each park fits in their respective chains. Neither has the biggest or most coasters. But they both have uncharacteristically good theming and charm combined with excellent thrills. They are each my second favorite parks in their chains because their ambiance is so great. SFFT has the Tex/Mex theming and charm and Knotts has the Ghost Town and old west feel. If it weren't for the unbeatable coaster collections at Cedar Point and SFMM I think I would rank these as each the best park in their respective chains.
Literally everytime we go to eat at la cantera I always see people ridding the Superman so that’s literally the only ride I know from there (for context I’ve never been to fiesta texas and I’ve literally lived in San Antonio my whole life)
Six Flags put a lot of love into this park. Ashamed they didn't for defunct AstroWorld in Houston. I know Fiesta was a newer kid on the block and to operate 3 Six Flags attractions in the same sate (even as big as Texas) would be a challenge. I still miss going a few miles from my home to visit a great park. Yes! I STILL love San Antonio. It's just that it's not close to me. Enjoy my weekends there when I can get them in.
i’m so excited to finally be visiting this park next week! the ride lineup looks incredible and it seems like such a scenic park compared to others in the six flags chain
Oh my gosh, just visited for the first time and I was AMAZED at how quickly we walked on to literally every single ride! My home park is Great America (Illinois) and I have NEVER experienced walking on to such high quality rides like this! Here’s what I would rank after my experience (and we will be coming back annually now!) 1. Iron Rattler - this is probably the most aggressive coaster I’ve ever ridden, 10/10! 2. Wonder Woman - I was actually surprised by how jerky it was, first time on a single rail coaster and I expected it to be way smoother, still way fun 3. Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger - fun front row drop, short but good punch 4. Superman - great length, height, inversions, had it all! 5. Poltergeist - DEFINITELY the sleeper hit, looking back now this is actually the one that we didn’t re-ride that I wish we got more rides on, love how it accelerates at the end instead of tapering down 6. Joker Carnival of Chaos - solid fun swing, fun pre-show 7. Boomerang - love these, picks up some good pace and backward portion nails it 8. Scream - great fun, good acceleration, not the biggest or fastest model 9. Road Runner Express - the first one we did not enjoy, very shaky and bumpy, very janky for how low intensity it is 10. Gully Washer - this is my fault, I knew better than to not expect to get soaked on a rapids ride, got soaked and spent the next hour looking like a wet cat

This a solid list and I agree with most of your list I would just swap Goliath and Poltergeist. I feel like Goliath is fun but is a bit rough like the great white at sea world is wayy smoother (I used to work there) and you can tell just by hearing how different the trains sound going throughout the track sorry for digressing but I think you did a good job rating my home park!

I'm finally getting the chance to experience the park in July! What order do you suggest I get on rides in in the early part now that Dr. Diabolical is open and I want to ride most coasters, Joker, and Piartes.
I have to think Joker and Wonder Woman will still be the two worst lines so I'd start there, especially because I think Dr. D will have a single rider line like Iron Rattler.
My assumption for the mid-course brakes not slowing the train that much on Superman (mentioned at around 8:04) would be that it's probably a block brake section, which may only be programmed to engage the brakes if a train is still on the next block section of track.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas is my home park. I love all of these rides, but am also partial to the Boomerang in the front section of the park. It is the only coaster that goes backwards as part of its track run.

Did you ever come off something at Six Flags Fiesta Texas with a headache? For example: Iron Rattler Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger Superman Krypton Coaster Goliath Poltergeist Batman the Ride Road Runner Express Pandemonium Boomerang What do you think?
Thank you for knowing how to say "Mack" as in Mack Rides. So many pages here are trying to seem smart or something by just assuming it's pronounciation is "Mauch". And that is 100% incorrect.
Magic mountain is my favorite in the chain while it isn’t there largest park that would go to great adventure with the safari. While magic mountains rides are always broken down it’s my favorite in the chain because of one coaster, X/X2
you should have mentioned on goliath where it was relocated from the second time. which as everyone now knows, tada, was the defunct killed by katrina six flags new orleans(jazzland).
Poltergeist is a touch high for me. I actually prefer Road Runner Express, Pandemonium and the Batman 4D Free Spin. For me I'm not a fan of Poltergeist and Flight of Fear coasters all that much. I think Fiesta Texas would be my number 2 Six Flags park. I think Magic Mountain has it beat especially with the 2022 addition.

Did you ever come off something at Six Flags Fiesta Texas with a headache? What do you think?
None of the coasters here are painful.
Fun fact, pandemonium used to be a Tony hawk skater ride!
Yes years ago.
Was Goliath at Six Flags Fiesta Texas the roughest Goliath coaster you've ridden?
No
My first time going to six flags was in 2019, at the time I didn’t really enjoy it as munch because I was scared of roller coasters. Im going again for my second time this summer. I’m 14, and now I have a feeling I would enjoy it, because im not scared of roller coasters anymore.
Enjoy!
I went on iron rattler yesterday
Lucky!
I bet that is a crazy head chopper on Superman with the zipline if you get the correct time.
It has a good amount of clearance.
Goliath at Six Flags Fiesta Texas
Goliath at Six Flags New England
Goliath at Six Flags Great America
What do you think about those three Goliath coasters, tolerable?
Really like the Fiesta and Great America ones. The New England one was bad with the new train.
Did you ever come off something at Six Flags Fiesta Texas with a headache? For example:
Iron Rattler
Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster
Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger
Superman Krypton Coaster
Goliath
Poltergeist
Batman the Ride
Road Runner Express
Pandemonium
Boomerang
What do you think?
The rides are tolerable for me.
For most roller coaster rides you must be 4ft tall ??
Yes
The iron wrangler is one of my favorite rides but I just wish I could have ridden it before it was converted to Iron instead of wood
It's awesome now.
What?? No more wood? That’s crazy. Wrangler or rattler?😓
riding it as a wooden was nothing special, Riding it before they Nerfed the first drop on the other hand.... it's honestly much better now though
Do you know something called Iron Rattler? What do you think? What would you rate it and why?
Yes, it's amazing.
I’ve never road the iron rattler it sounds fun
It is.
Yo good vid, I'm guesss IRat or WWLC is number 1?
At this park, Iron Rattler is number one.
@@CanobieCoaster I guessed it!
Thank you for knowing how to say "Mack" as in Mack Rides. So many pages here are trying to seem smart or something by just assuming it's pronounciation is "Mauch". And that is 100% incorrect.
I learned how it was said when I went to Europa.
Magic mountain is my favorite in the chain while it isn’t there largest park that would go to great adventure with the safari. While magic mountains rides are always broken down it’s my favorite in the chain because of one coaster, X/X2
Magic Mountain has the best coasters for sure. It's my 2nd favorite park in the chain.
@@CanobieCoaster I like to think of it as the bigger six flags discovery kingdom because at discovery kingdoms rides are always broken down 💀
Bro I felt like I was gonna die on Wonder Woman. I was so scared I didn’t even scream 🥲
I love that ride.
Fiesta Texas is my favorite Six Flags park because it has a quarry wall and no other six flags has it.
True!
you should have mentioned on goliath where it was relocated from the second time. which as everyone now knows, tada, was the defunct killed by katrina six flags new orleans(jazzland).
True, it is well traveled.
When I go if I don't ride anything else I have to ride the Iron Rattler and Superman ride
Wonder Woman is in the top 3 best rides too.
Fiesta looks to be getting something too.
Yeah I’m pretty sure their announcing what the ride will be tomorrow
Also poltergeist is getting a new color scheme and I really like what they’re doing with the ride
@@CanobieCoaster Based on yesterday's announcement I think I will prefer the Six Magic Mountain addition. The beyond vertical drop is a nice touch but give me the RMC over the dive coaster any day of the week.
It's so weird that they have Goliath that's actually batman the ride and batman the ride that's a joker
Whoever runs Six Flags naming department should be fired... so many missed opportunities with branding/merchandising when they mix/match the names.
It's quite funny.
No more Scooby-Doo either.? Damn ..
Pirates is a cool ride in a similar vein.
I’m surprised that Boomerang wasn’t here
They're not my favorite clones, although they are intense.
I went there but the drop tower wasn't working and joker cause someone had to throw up
That stinks!
Super funky
It's a fun park.
