  • Hi everyone join me as we clear some land for a surprise project on the homestead! Let me know if you guys have any guesses on whats going on here! I will reveal it in a few videos but please enjoy me clearing some land!

    Hi Jay! Great work and a great haul of firewood for you! Love how you handled that multi-trunked tree with the plunge cut then moving backward to cut the backstrap. I see your wedges also have a mind of their own like mine. Must be the same brand. Looking forward to seeing part 2. Thanks for sharing!

    Finally a tree cutting video I can watch, I see too many hacks pretending to be lumberjacks. You have good technique.

    Great job dropping those trees looks good, love your channe .l I have a echo cs400 and Dewalt 16 inch 60 volt saw and I love them both . Keep up the good work . Kubota time!

    If you don't have a backhoe you can just pull the trees over and get the stump out that way. (use blocks for mechanical advantage if you need to)

    That maple is going to make really nice firewood. Some really tall white pine. What kind of chainsaw you running? Stay safe!

      Hey time! All the maple is going to be firewood! The pine that is straight will be the sawlogs to make into beams for various (future) projects! I dont plan on wasting anything! I am running an echo cs-490 with oregon chain with muffler mod and retuned! Thanks for watching! Stay safe as well!

      Homestead Jay We were doing good until a few minutes ago, my wife just told me she is feeling strange, no fever though, she just went back to bed ( which is not like her )😢😢😷😷✌🏻️

      Ugh we’ll just stay hydrated and keep an eye on it! I think fevers and sore throats are a possible sign! However you can still get just a fever and no virus so don’t panic if she just has a fever cause it could be just a fever. Stay safe!

    When cutting a tree or tree'S down, why you not start at at least 1foot from ground. It would make you an extra 3 - 5 feet extra board'S. Cheer'S. JAY. My best to your family.

      It’s all outdoor boiler wood so didn’t matter. I high stumped for convenience. Every useable piece was harvested for firewood
