He may not be a perfect fit but hes a great one. We finally have a coach that doesnt have "buddies" on the team and isnt a nice guy tesdy bear to the kids. He makes them accountable and tells them they won't play if they dont exicute so they actually try and excel.

Maybe this game isn’t the measure of the new OC’s impact on the offense, but his mark on it in just a very short period is notable. A true test will be against Iowa at Iowa and if Nebraska can play four quarters on both sides of the ball and beat the Hawkeyes, then we have a legit OC who should be retained. The cherry on top would be to win the remaining games this season…
We won this week so now Holgerson is the hero. If we wouldn't have won he would be run out of town on a rail. The players seemed to finally show up and play to their ability. Hope it continues. I stop short of placing so much on the shoulders of any one person. It's a team game. The team= players, coaches, and the fan base that supports it. I’m optimistic that Dana can get Riola the offensive players he desperately needs to play his game. Like that nice little shovel pass thing he did early on that ended up being a turnover. Had he had the right guys, that was more than likely a first down or better.

When you have two 6’4” receivers against college corners, this is an easy call. The second is I think we need to have four defensive lineman on first down and and bring in a pass rusher as needed.

I do not think Satterfield held the players accountable. I think he kept the same players that he thought were entitled to play and was OK with that. The players play the game, and it was obvious that the players played the way the coaches expected them to play. There is a reason why Satterfield is a 100th rbk on average OC. He is just not good as an OC. He maybe is a positions level coach.

Just take a look at his track record. He has has successful offenses everywhere he goes. He's coached some great QB's and WR's. He's not a pure Air rade guy he knows how and when to run the ball. He's able to adjust to what he has on the field.

Holgerson is the right fit because the problem has always been common sense and he's the only one we've had with common sense.
Dana's leaning toward the right formula. Cautiously. Will the other shoe drop? Nah. I think he'll keep opponents guessing.
